hi i live like 30 mins away from Edinburgh and i have one more spot to suggest its called the vennel viewpoint and its known for its amazing view of Edinburgh castle
Hi! I’m planning a day trip with my daughter who’ll be 18months when we come to Edinburgh in April 25, I was wondering if Scotland is easy to travel around via public transports. I’m planning on getting the coach from London, arriving early morning. First stop getting breakfast at going to Calton Hill, then strolling through the town before heading to the zoo then back to the city for ice cream and dinner before our coach back to London at 9:30pm If you have any other child/toddler friendly ideas I’d love to hear!
Had to see this because this year 2023, My cousins and family and I are making the trip to Scotland using the Bus tour, first stop EDINBURGH late Sept-first week of Oct and also I am involved with established titles, I am glad I did. thanks so very much.
Awesome video. I have lived in Edinburgh some years ago. And I just love this dirty old town.... one thing you should know if you go there.... bring some good walking shoes or hiking boots. In Edinburgh you always go up a hill or down a hill. You will find muscles in you legs and bag you did not know you have. And bring cloths for all kinds of weather. You can go from sun and 25 C to snow storm and minus 3 C in just one hour.... but Edinburgh is the best. Trust me.
Wow, this is truly incredible to watch. So much history around, and it's very soothing to just be able to explore the city with you. Edinburgh has been on my list for a long time. Can't wait to visit next year and thanks to you watching these videos makes it shorter at least :) Sending much love and take care
This is wonderful information for planning our trip to Scotland - my bucket list trip - in May. Edinburgh will be our base. After watching your video, Dean Village is now on our list of places to visit. Thanks!!!
Your video is very informative for solo travelers. Thanks for keeping a map view, its made me easy to map the city and understand the distance. Hope to see you adding more visual understanding features. :)

You absolutely need to buy castle tickets multiple days in advance or buy the Royal bus ticket that gives you access to multiple attractions and can get you a castle ticket even if everything is sold out
What a great video! I’m planning to visit during December and hoping to follow your itinerary, thanks for sharing your travels! I’m sure it’ll be busy and cold but it’s the only time we have free 🥰
Have fun! Yes December can get cold but we were there in November, so similar to that time! We were lucky to have some really sunny days in Edinburgh, it was beautiful and not crowded at all.
Hello. I find your video very helpful and informative. You see, i am planning a solo trip to Edinburgh this winter break. Where do you recommend to stay in Edinburgh? A specific accomodation where one can easily go around the city. also, I don’t drive. Are the places in the video reachable by public transportation? So sorry for the all the question but thank you in advance.
Thanks for watching! And we recommend staying in the old town, it's easier to walk to the highlights. Also, the old town is located on a hill, whereas the new town is down the hill (so you'd have to walk up if you stay in the new town). We stayed at the Aparthotel Adagio Edinburgh Royal Mile (we have a link in the description below the video to the hotel). Edinburgh is a very walkable city, so you can get to most places by walking. There's also public transportation, like buses, that can get you around easily. It's very straightforward :)

Hi ! I'm planning a scotland road trip for this year, and your videos about scotland are just so good ! Thanks ! Just one question, at what time of the year were you in Edinburgh and Isle of Skye ?

That's a hard question! We don't recall as we went to so many pubs!! But we have a list of places on the map on our website: www.worldwildhearts.com/post/edinburgh-in-scotland
I don't want to watch the video, I will wait and see until I get there, so I'll just listen... I am going in three weeks and I have bought two tickets, one for the chocolatarium and one for a cat cafe.
Okay, I will commend you my friend for trying haggis in its traditional way with neeps and tatties 😂 usually when people come from other countries they try the battered haggis and say it’s terrible and that’s because tbh even as a Scot I think it is, haggis is way better cooked properly and on its own with neeps and tatties

@shifftyElla how it is nowadays is it raining much. I am planing to visit mid August there
I’m a local and I think this is one of the best Edinburgh tours except for the guide I think it’s better to just explore yourself
Sometimes it's nice to get lost too! But we always like to learn about the history on these tours!
I'm traveling to Edinburgh, where I can have halal food
@@razirahman6597 I don’t know any good halal reasturants but there are quite a few halal market supermarkets around the city.

Thanks for all of this!!! So helpful! Can you let me know which whisky tour you did? It looks like you are in an old cellar which we would love.
We booked one via the hotel. It was more of a private tour, but it’s not anywhere online. It was in an old cellar indeed
Cheers for the video guys! What time of year did you visit?
We visited at the start of November. It was definitely off-season, but we were lucky with a few days of sun!
This is so nice! I wanna visit this city asappppp I like the authenticity😍😍

Sorry for the late reply! It will be busy with tourists because of the holidays. But it's still beautiful!

Do you know why fire the cannon? They remind the city of conquest by England.
Today the gun is mainly for making tourists jump! But, once upon a time, ships set their maritime clocks by it. Ships relied on these signals!
Love it❤️❤️
Thank you ☺️
I am planning to go on a road trip renting on car. Do these places have proper parking spots to go by car or you just walking in the city
definitely easier to just walk around the city! It's small enough that you don't need a car. Parking can be tough (and expensive)
Outstanding travel video, I love the way you nailed it that I'll add Edinburg in my bucket list. Hats to you, World Wild Hearts! Cheers from Canada.

What month were you in scotland?
November! Not the best time of the year lol!

This was booked through our hostel called the CODE Pod Hostel. They ran the tours and the guy took us into this special tasting room underground
