0:54 seconds in, Ya'll should of mist up your faces and pretended ya'll were sweating crazily!! OHHHH the SpongeBob meme!! 5 min later!! then stared the seating!! Gold Jerry Gold!!!
I replaced the fan motor in mine.$500+. I bought for a retail dealer .,but if you can find a motor that crosses over, e cost might be considerably less After a few years, the bearings dry out and make a helluva racket. Now there are other videos that describe how to baffle your ac ,withou spending all that much money. If you drive the air down the ducts and don't allow it to dump thru the center dump, its much quieter.
We don’t use the dump through very often wayyy too loud only use it if we need to cool fast. Our acs are fairly brand new when we bought Rv we replaced them about 2 months later and just too loud. So this helps tremendously with the noise
Nice video! Thanks for sharing so I can show my Mrs. If you want to go even farther, and quieter, add in the RV Airflow system. It's another $200, but together it's almost whisper quiet. And it'll boost your duct outputs and increase AC efficiency.
Hi all I have been using the AC silencer for about three years now and I’ve had great results a lot of comments on my TH-cam channel I also did a few videos where I did a DB test a frequency test and showing the latest release of Wacko Products the AC Silencer version two
The good thing this is, even if it only dropped 4,-5 decibels, what people don't know that for every 1 decibel drop it's like lowering the volume 50% per notch of the previous level. I have an inverter generator at 49 decibels and I had a regular at 55 and the difference is substantial. Like you can whisper next to the inverter generator but have to scream next to the older one. So for those who think 4 or 5 is not such a difference haven't have the notion that for every 1db increase is exponential the volume difference.
Got excited when I saw this - then realized it won't work for us since our a/c is not ducted... guess we'll keep dealing with our loud a/c haha. Keeping this in mind in case we ever upgrade our trailer! We found your channel on the TH-cam camping Facebook group. Just subscribed so we can keep up with your travels!
The cooling hasn’t been affected since we have installed. Changing the filter is a few extra step but it’s a much better filter design than the basic one Rv ac come with.
I would say to anyone who has a non ducted AC, that you could do exactly what I had done with my old Wolf Pup. That is buy one of those portable AC units that’s on wheels with hoses. That I mounted inside my truck bed, under the cap, with inlet for incoming air, plus two 6” AC duct hoses, that are well insulated. That when I drop and setup only add a few more more minutes, one plugs in under the front of the trailer, the other the rear, inside the trailer I have installed the same type of hoses with a box and grill with flaps to direct the airflow. When the trailer is closed with windows closed, you can almost hear the fan? Or air moving, but at a whisper. When we leave the site to go out an about the unit is already in my truck bed locked up, all I need to do is disconnect the hoses, one is 8’, the other is 20’, but weights very little and either throw in the truck bed, or trailer. If it’s very hot I can always leave the built in loud AC on low to help keep things cool. I feel the issue warrants the travel trailer manufacturers and AC manufacturers to come up with a better idea! Like build a unit on the tongue instead of the roof, with the duct hoses built in under the floors.
I noticed that you installed the silencer about a year ago and was wanting to know if it's still working out for you and would you purchase again. I just purchased a new rev and needing to do something about my noisy air conditioner.
Thankyou for doing this review. I was wondering how good these were, and it is alot of money to spend if it didn't work that good.
Thank you! We definitely love this in our Rv !
Built my own, works like a champ!
That’s amazing would love to see it!! We contemplated but had no idea where to start at the time

Haha that would have been great!
Hello folks! I just installed mine and I got the very same results. But I bought mine directly from Wacko and paid only $125. Well worth the $$$!
just placed my order! We stayed in our new travel trailer and the first thing we said was man this AC is LOUD!!!
Sweet. You will enjoy it!
I loved this type of video! I want to see a video about how you organized everything in the RV - going from a house full of stuff to an RV
Great Idea! It is the hardest thing about going full time in an RV. That would make for a great video.
@@Down2RV Ya, how you made the choices ... what you really had to keep and how hard it was to let go of some things.
We too suffer from loud A C noise. This is something I will look into. Thanks for sharing.
The noise was so annoying. Glad this video helps even if just a little.

Nice info. I noticed the change!
Good to hear!

Glad you enjoyed. We had fun making this video. It was a first of this type we tried.

I liked it too lol. You guys are great and I love all your adventures. Not using the AC is never an option 😝
its definitely not an option. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for a real review got me thinking about getting one
Big difference! I'd be going crazy..er if I had to listen to all that noise from the ac. Nice change!
Its great!
So hear what you say about the noise but how about airflow? Improved? Motorhome cooler overall? Thanks!
I’m baffled
We know.

They sell them for non ducted!
How is the cooling since you installed the silencer

Can it work with ductless AC?

Looks like one could save some money and just tape up the dump vent
I think the baffles help more than just covering the dump vent.
@@Down2RV probably some... I really need to do something with our a/c... I think I'll try just taping first and see what kind of difference it makes
@@lakecountyliprippers6311 cant hurt.

Still working great!
As expensive rvs are, they should come installed already. Or manufactured quieter..
Good point.
