I'm not a dancer, but I love watching ballet. I cringed at the beginning when the ballerina danced on the plexiglass. I worried she might fall through like Josephine did. When she said it was the Australian Ballet, I realized that this was done by one of the top ballet companies and set up by professionals. Kudos to all of you dancers, what you do is absolutely amazing!!!
This makes me want to see a ballet performed with Hamilton's iconic circular stage and filmed by the same cinematographer. I am so here for some ballet performances available via streaming in that way. More performing arts media should be available to the masses in this way. This was so awesome! Thank you for reacting Josephine. I never would have seen something so beautiful otherwise.
Please I'm begging the performing arts to do this. I can't afford to jet set all around the world in order to see my favorite performers, but I would totally blow money on tickets to digital screenings.
This made me so happy. It was like a Rube Goldberg machine meets an obstacle course but with pretty aesthetics, and fantastic motion. I second the request for more of these by all the ballet companies.
Video idea: Bill Nye made a patent for a pointe shoe 20 years ago but it was never approved! Would love you to take a look at it and get your thoughts as a fitter (and also bring attention to this because more people need to know how amazing Bill Nye is)
When I was younger I dreamed of getting into ballet and doing pointe. Kids at my school used to make fun of me and call me fat. So I never followed through with it. But ever since I ran into your channel I’ve been thinking about telling my mom about getting into ballet classes. I’ve always heard that it’s never too late to start dancing. I have a strong passion for dancing but I haven’t quite found what I like best. Wether it be hip hop or any other type of dance style. But whenever I put on instrumentals to study or just do daily task I always find myself moving in a ballet styled way. Ever since I’ve found your channel I’ve really been considering trying ballet and not letting peoples words get to me!! Thank you for what you do!! Keep making videos and being you! You are great inspiration!!
I’d love to see a video where you guys show all the different accessory options for pointe shoes like different toe pads toe, spacers etc. and different ways to use them to help with pointe shoe troubleshooting.
The Australian Ballet videos are so creative. I love it! You could react to another one from them. It's called "Wilis in Corps-en-tine (Giselle Skit)". It's a really fun one :)
Can you react to professional ballerinas’ shoes?? Like natalia osipova, lauren lovette, marinaela, etc. I would wanna know more about the ballet world. ☺️☺️
I remember first watching this and sending it to EVERYONE I knew because there is some element of it that everyone can enjoy. And ballet spamming friends. ;)
Looks like polycarbonate...that stuff is strong and the sheet is thick, looks like atleast an inch and that's thick in polycarbonate world. It's more fexible than glass so that's why it neds a little. I bet it can hold more then one slender balerina.
The obstacle course was so much fun to watch! It brought to mind the avant garde ballet Swan Lake, Minnesota with Naomi Sorkin as the swan (th-cam.com/video/p7t-CDR9fFE/w-d-xo.html --15:22 has a bit of Naomi Sorkin and oompah music)
You should check out Action Lines video Circles. Pandemic project of some creative friends that doesn't have near enough views. The dancers are a couple too which always makes things cute af. They both are major parts of the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago.
Since male ballet dancers appear to wear a different type of shoe, do they go en pointe the same way the females do? If you can't tell I have no clue about any forms of dance.
Sorry if this sounds weird, but can you tell us what you think will happen to Russian Pointe and other shoes from Russia? Ik there are much more serious things to worry about than pointe shoes. I just can’t help but wonder what’s gonna happen to them. I can’t be the only one.
I do athletics and when hey jumped over the obstical and the two men carried the one girl over my anxiety was out of the roof as they jumped over the hurdles the wrong way so if one of them didn't make the jump instead of the hurdle just folding down (which they are made to do) it would just trip them over badly insuring them
Josephine, if you like this, I can recommend the Hong Kong Ballet 40th anniversary brand video here on TH-cam! That one is simply spectacular and absolutely breathtaking!
The Australian Ballet did quite a few things during lockdown to keep engagement with their audiences. :) I loved watching you react to that! haha! Check this one out: th-cam.com/video/39_lS4v1sqw/w-d-xo.html
I'd love you to react to the behind the scenes!! They offer quite interesting insights that I never thought initially. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/7qOie53fWHA/w-d-xo.html
So i spend quite a lot on Bloch shoes each year. And while I wish they could be a bit more affordable, I actually don't mind paying what I do if it helps to finance these kinds of videos :-)
it was neat but done too slow and could have been more of a challange to the dancers they are artists that physically train like pro athleats, like over the last hurddle should have been no problem for her to grande jette over the top without help I am sure or did some balance elements en pointe over the tops of narrow but not too narrow things I mean these are pros, to me its like taking a high performance car and coasting along the track not even reving it up and letting it streach its legs or showing what it can do if you dont press it for its abillites a little
I think you're taking the title of their video too literally (imho), I originally took it as you did, but after starting to watch considered it to be more interpretative dancing for artistic reasons around an obstacle course vs a challenging obstacle course run. Art for Art's sake.

I don't know why, but it makes me so happy to know that Josephine has a SO. A wonderful lady like her deserves as much love and happiness as possible!
Same.
Has a so?
@@avap7452 yeah, what the heck is that?
@@avap7452 a significant other.
@@CWall-tv7gm SO = Significant Other. She mentioned her boyfriend

I have loved Australian Ballet for ages. I am not surprised by how gorgeous they made this look.
obstacle courses mixed with ballet is something I never knew I needed
I’d love to see a video where you guys show all the different accessory options for pointe shoes like different toe pads toe, spacers etc. and different ways to use them to help with pointe shoe troubleshooting.
Words seem so lame to describe this. Beautifully done, so pleasing to the eyes. Great job Australian Ballet!
I think you're looking for the words "oooow that's pretty... pretty,... wow pretty"
This video deserves a take a shot every time Josephine says "pretty" game... I love her
David Hallberg over there like "Squid Game but make it pretty" and the dancers delivered! Minus death.
That was really creative. I loved it. The dancers were fantastic and all so in sync with each other and the music.
The Australian Ballet has produced some of the coolest videos for years. I recommended checking out the rest!
The Australian Ballet videos are so creative. I love it! You could react to another one from them. It's called "Wilis in Corps-en-tine (Giselle Skit)". It's a really fun one :)

I love that video…and funnily enough Nicola Curry is in it as well :)

This has to be one of the most satisfying videos I've seen in a long time and it even beats the ASMR cooking videos I've watched into a cocked hat!

"Fresh Ballerinas" will forever be etched on my brain!
It's a choreography with an obstacle course theme. I thought, when I saw the title that we were going to see an obstacle course on Pointe, for real.
The production wowwwww
“do something insanely hard, really pretty, and make it look like it’s effortless” u also just described gymnastics lol
This was awesome. Maybe watch Johannesburg Ballet's Rain Dance
