@@wrestlinginfodude2644 Well I am not sure either ways but the brothers did say to be ready for an emotional ending in the interview, and Steve's character development I guess hints alot about his death, because no way they bring nancy and him back hurting jonathan, that would ruin nancy's character, so the only way to not bring the relationship b/w the 2 is killing one off, and steve is more likely to die

It's cute to see Steve's shocked face when Eddie told Steve how highly Dustin looked up to him. I feel like we don't get much interesting dynamic of their friendship in this season cuz they seem went from besties hyped to see each other to snippy. Hopefully we will get emotional scene from them in Part 2 where Steve will address his jealousy to Dustin for spending more time with his new nerd friend Eddie.
They got as close as brothers so I guess that would explain the snippy behavior
I think it’s the fact that deep down Steve was jealous of eddy, he brought it up a couple of times, it’s only when Eddie admitted to Steve that Dustin looked up to him a lot that Steve was genuinely happy

The fact that Steve started off as a bully in S1 and is now practically family with all the kids especially Dustin proves he's had the best character development in the show 👍
He was a good guy in s1 too, but his friends were bullies. He just didn't try hard to stop them from bullying. As far as I remember, he never ever had any bad intentions towards anyone since the beginning, only some mixups and confusions.

@@ajvasta not tryna defend anything but from his perspective, a guy took pictures of him and his girlfriend when they were getting it on. So although not the best approach, he handled it the way he did. He wasn't right but wouldn't say he's completely wrong. Then again he was around dickheads. So bad influence.
@@rohanprince96 he never had bad intentions, but he did go out of his way to be a dick to Jonathan and Nancy (once he thought she cheated on him). To be fair, it was because of the negative influence of his friend group which he did reject, much to his credit, but that doesn't absolve him of responsibilities for his own choices. He redeems himself when he helps remove the defamation he helped spray about Nancy, by helping her and Jonathan when he accidentally stumbled upon the demogorgon situation, and when he apologized and stopped antagonizing Jonathan (who he later showed no ill will towards in season 2, even when Jonathan and Namcy continued to be friends and even after Nancy breaks up with him for Jonathan). He's made mistakes, but he's a good dude because he had the humility to admit when he's wrong and tried to do the right thing going forward.

Their relationship is actually different this season than in previous seasons. In season 3 they are friends, this season they are brothers. Dustin the younger brother is always challenging, questioning, and trying to prove himself to the older brother. While the older brother Steve is always annoyed and has to put the younger brother in his place. You can tell Dustin and Steve are incredibly close because they are always themselves around each other.
It's a sign of a strong friendship when you can get snippy with each other and throw jabs while being safe in the knowledge that both parties have care and good intentions for the other. It's a display of trust.
I loved the part in Season 4 where Eddie told Steve that Dustin thinks he's a badass and worships him. That was so sweet to hear what Dustin thinks of Steve. They are like bros for life.

These two have become such an old married couple by this season. The constant insults and snarking at each other, it never gets old. (Also Steve continuing the tradition of calling the kids "dipshits", "dickheads" and "little shits" as terms of endearment.)

Their big & little bro relationship is one of the best relationships in Stranger Things. They both seek validation from one another in regards to their weakness. Steve feels he's not smart enough so looks to Dustin and Dustin doesn't think he's cool enough so looks to Steve.

Its so amazing to think how steve redeems throughout the show, makes you think he was just really surrounded by people he did not deserve to be with in the first season
The reason why shows or movies like this do so well is because of the relationships between the characters. The love and friendship between them all is the bedrock of the series, without it, it all crumbles.

Eddie has mentioned several times about running away and when he tells Jonathan about how he’s jealous of him and not only that, Jonathan turns out to be a nice guy too, I think that was a conversation to lead Eddie towards possibly saving Jonathan and Nancy, redeeming himself from always running away.

Only cares about drugs, really? He's emotionally numbing with weed after losing his brother multiple times to a monster who took over his mind and body. And his brother never actually came back. Jon took care of his mother and his brother and had to grow up way faster than any of the other kids. Thats totally untrue to say that. Just like people saying Mike is shitty now because hes going through a rough time but ignore that he literally plunged off a cliff so bullies wouldnt harm Dustin. And never gave up on Will, El, or any of his friends. He was the heart of the group in season 1. Jon cares about his family more than any of the other people in the show care about theirs.
