Milam & Greene Port Cask finished Rye is the one I enjoy the most these days. What I would like to find is a Bimber Ruby Port finished bottle.
We're paying upwards of $129 for our beloved Bushmills 16 here in SoCal.

Boplaas Single Grain 8 Year Tawny. Five years in second- and third-fill bourbon barrels, three years in their own ex-tawny casks. 58%. I know it's unlikely to be found outside South Africa, but it's an absolutely beautiful Tawny Port-influenced whisky. Bushmills 16 is also good, though.

I have a single cask 100% port matured from Glenglassaugh its is 11.5 years bottled at cask strength. It is sublime, I think it is Ruby Port. It is from the Glenglassaugh single cask series, have you tried any of this series? I have always wanted to try that Bushmills 16 but after the price went up I never wanted to buy it. It is low alcohol and the Irish whisky craze is in full force.
honorable mention to High West A MidWinters nights dram. A fantastic name and they do a good job at getting good Port barrels every year. I have gotten it the last 3 years but this year I did not, not really that sad about it. The price goes up and up and the people hunting for it goes up and up. At some point when you have these variables the quality will go down as they try to fill demand.

As far as Irish whiskey using Tawny is concerned, I considered buying The Liberator. There's also Two Stacks.
I find it strange Red Breast mentioning the cooperage company and not the brand of the Tawny, which judging by the geographical location, it might not be Port, just a Portuguese fortified wine... and if I learned anything from Irish whiskey companies, is that they like calling anything a Port. Same as we'd call anything a Schnapps.
If it is Tawny Port, they should at least be able to reference the farm. That way you can have a higher level of confidence as to what region the Tawny came from.
As for any whiskey finished in Tawny, yep the Benriach. I was fortunate to stumble onto the distillery while on a road trip, and was pleasantly surprised. The distillery exclusive Madeira cask was my favorite off the entire trip.
    Great video as always!

I enjoyed this one, but I felt the port influence was quite lacking, I was hoping for a much stronger influence. The recent Dingle "Gheimhridh" release has a lovely hit of port, not quite as nice (to my palate) as the Lunasa, but the second best of the "wheel of the year" series so far

Dingle "Gheimhridh" has not yet reached Germany - soon I hope

Hi Jason, do you have experience with fully matured Port whiskies? These are hard to find, most are only finished.
