5:50 is my favorite shot! Really nice! Macro season is here! I'll be going out with my macro lens, flash, and diffuser this coming Thursday.
I LOVE this time of year - the dragonflies are out s well. My wife really likes that photo too. One advantage I am finding with the 100-500 is I can still fill the frame on the R7 but stand back and not disturb the critters. I look forward to your macro shots!!!🙏🤗💖

Great stuff Jonny. I really like that R50. It is doing a great job with the diffuser. Do u think the RF macro is better then the EF? That was doing a nice job. The damsels are beautiful using the flash. Great video my friend, thanks for taking us along.
Thank you, thank you for letting me share. You know, the last time I rented the RF 100mm, I actually preferred the control I had with the EF100mm over the Rf version but that was a while back. That little R50 is simply an amazing little camera. I did not think I would like it as much as I do. And as far as what I have found is that the 100-500 give me more of an advantage for the close ups - next video has that. The R7 has more control as well. And you know, I LIKE the little flash on top of the R50 - it was fun. 🙏🤗💖
100-500 on the R50 has got to be great, how about the 200-800. Your talking 1200 some hundred, good grief. Thanks again great video.
@@thomasphillips5850 The 200-800 is a lens I prefer on a full frame camera body because it is an F9 at 800mm. The 100-500 as an L lens has the advantage. The other thing is that the longer you go, the more atmospheric distortion you get in your shots. 🙏🤗💖

@@thomasphillips5850 I have to go out and use the aftermarket extension tubes to shorten that amazing MFD even more. I have not does that since last year. Fill the frame even more!! 🙏🤗💖
an R3 is such an odd choice for macro. Id get so tired holding that beast, and I still use a dslr. Beautiful shots!
It is for sure but I wanted to have fun with it. I dont find it any heavier than my old D800. I think it is what you get used to! 🙏🤗💖
