Joy Roy Please check first if your laptop has warranty seal in one of the screws at the back of your laptop, if there is then let the authorize lenovo service do the upgrade. If you can't find any warranty seal then you can upgrade it without voiding the warranty just make sure you don't damage the laptop.

Arjun S D you got the wrong SSD type, the one you got is M. 2 SATA type. You should buy M. 2 NVME type because M. 2 SATA will not work in most of the latest lenovo laptop. Also go to windows disk management if you want to check if the SSD is detected in your laptop because sometimes BIOS will not show up the SSD but in windows it will.

Anugrah Setyawibawa I think you have this specific variant of L340 th-cam.com/video/968IS8jBHbg/w-d-xo.html. You can add 1tb HDD or SSD 2.5" to its empty HDD slot. After that your storage will become 500GB SSD M.2 + 1tb HDD or SSD 2.5". No need to install additional software just navigate to windows disk management and initialize the 1tb HDD that you have just added. Make sure you still have the lenovo "sata flex cable" that is usually found in the laptop carton box. That sata flex cable is use to connect the 1tb HDD to L340 motherboard.

A bit late, but the 2.5" sata bay is on the left hand side. You should be able to just swap it out.

Riccy Retz Productions the cloning should work as long as 2 NVME will detect in windows disk management,you will be able to clone as long as the destination NVME has more capacity or GB than the used space of source NVME

WEIRD GUY you mean the hard disk metal mount where you can screw the hard disk?try to find it in your lenovo laptop box together with manuals,if not try to purchase it online,make sure you have hdd slot in your laptop motherboard

William Diestro yes sir pwedeng SSD parin idagdag mo ang bilhin mo 2.5" na SSD 250gb or higher, at pag na dagdagan mona nang SSD hindi na kailangan mag install or transfer nang windows dahil nandon na sa 512GB SSD, pagkatapos mong ma install ang 2.5" na SSD punta ka sa windows disk management at e initialized mo lang para magamit mona as secondary storage
sir siguraduhin bago ka bumili nang 2.5" SSD ay merong sata flex cable at 2.5" metallic bay sa laptop mo para makabit mo ang SSD, kung wala check mo sa carton box nang l340 laptop

hey tobi, you mean to expand the storage? as far as I know you can add 2.5" sata HDD or SSD to expand the storage, some L340 model have included SATA adapter ribbon and HDD screws in the box and HDD mount inside the laptop, I am really sorry I don't remember the part number of HDD adapter and mount
