The answer is YES, depending on what price you are offered. Lots of tender ports in Europe make it a no brainer. Even better, we got it for cheaper than the first price we were offered for the Internet package. One size does not fit all.
I had the Key for Navigator in April and would definitely do it again. First it is carry on luggage that you can take to the MDR, not your luggage. The special lunch was great. I had an incredible steak and all the rest. My wife had the fish. Great deal. I bought it on sale and it was on sale. The early tender pass was great. And at the end, my luggage was up in the Key area right at customs. Saved time and trouble. I'll buy it again.
I agree with your points on price, but one point you missed is that the luggage drop off is for your carry on, not your main luggage. You still drop that at the porter. Although I am sure some people probably do it that way. You also said you had 3 tender ports, which is the one time I might consider it.
I personally don’t think so. The main reason to get it IMO is if you are definitely going to get internet for everyday of your cruise and it isn’t much more. The internet purchased on its own is going to be $26 per person per day or less. (More than likely) In this example, it would cost you $20 extra per person per day or $40 a day extra for two. That is $280 you can put toward something else. If the chops lunch was enticing on Day 1, you can go to another specialty restaurant for $25 PP or less in my experience if you buy in the cruise planner b4 your cruise Happy Cruising!
We're sailing on Icon of the Seas July 2024. With the size of the ship and the amount of passengers that are going to be on board. The Key seems to be a good idea for us.
Thanks for the breakdown. I have 5 going. We get the Voom for 1 and that works for all devices. The “perks” just don’t sound appealing. We would have to spend $1,400. More for key. Thanks.
Yes, we bought the key for our upcoming 12 night cruise for $82 more than 2 device internet package. It was $2 more per day than a single device. For us it is convienient. If we book a specialty dining or 2 for any day of the cruise on the first day we get 20% off so there it has some savings.

Hi.. question. Is free internet with the key for 1 person in room or does each person that has the key get a free device????
Each person in the room ages 6 and above has to purchase the Key and each key person gets 1 device for the internet.
