- This video shows how to get the rear wheel or front and rear wheel of the s10s
The wire coming out of the axle makes it a little different to remove the wheel.

I fought for hours trying to get the new back tire on. Right when I was about to give up, I realized I could remove the 5 Allen screws that take apart half the rim, and made it super easy.
My mistake, it's actually six Allen screws. And they are the outer most screws. Not the inner most ones on the opposite side. Those look like they are to take the motor cover off.
Thank you very much for giving me this idea, I was trying to buy a special wrench and then I saw your video that you have make yourself a special wrench. I saw another video where the guy had to take all the wires out before he could take the tire out, but then you show me no you don't need to take the wires out, just take your time easy easy and you can do it without taking the all wires out just one screw for the wire, again thank you very much keep up the good work. Today I got flat tire on my electric scooter, the rear wheel :(
I got my Axle nutt off by taking an 18MM wrench at a 90 degree angle and some channel locks on the wrench. Each peasy, came right off...
I found a wingnut ratchet socket on Amazon that worked great for removing the rear lugnut.
Did it work
@lostdrifter7009 It worked great, but now I'm just stuck on removing the rim that releases the motor from the center of the wheel. It seems to be fake screws that I can't actually drill into. Weirdly enough it looks like it's for display or as if it was meant to have them, but they forgot lol. Every video I've looked up has them on the side of the motor that has the wire except for mine. 😵💫
How did you loosen the suspension bolts to get the front tire on, stripped my only Allen key that fit?
I didn’t loosen the suspension
Only the two nuts on ether side
Just received my s10s on the 24th Friday. Rode it to work yesterday on the 25th and cought my first flat sucks 😞
Oh man! No way!
Hope you had a can fix a flat….
Change tire put green slime!
U need to get to work!
Hope that is the only flat u get!!
@@DavidsHowtosReviews hey Dave, I had to take it to a shop this morning bro, charge me 75 buckaroos. That sucks more than the flat.
@@bayluv9278 😱
Oh man.
Yea throw some green slime in there
And look into solid tires
These little tires are a pain to work with
Back up and rolling, topped out today at 43 mph. Loving the S10S.
😱 nice
These are very fun.
Going down hill these will reach very high speeds.
I have the s10s with the wire and I’m having a hard time finding a tool that can remove the nut around the wire. Do you have a link to the proper tool by any chance?
Look through some scooter sites I remember seeing it’s in the tool/accessories section
I just made my own harbor freight socket and old ratchet
How do you get to the hall sensor please i have a motor that is exactly the same .and hall sensor failed.😊
how do I pull the forks apart by myself to get my tire back on, Im kind of stuck getting my wheel back on currently, did everything else quite easily! do clamp/spreaders work?
See if you can put one side in and use a long screwdriver or something to pry the other side open while pushing the tire / wheel in place
@@DavidsHowtosReviews yeah I was sitting there for hours trying to do it with the screwdriver like you mentioned actually! just seemed to need a tiny bit more force than that, the furthest we got with the screwdriver is it sliding barely in, we had the scooter upside down! its the rear assembly forks, they seem to be real tight. will try the pipe wrench if the clamp/spreader doesnt work.
Yes the back one is very tight.
Good luck u will get it
I just purchase the s5 and yes is really fun I watching your videos to learn more about this scooter, this adventure going out on my scooter helping me so much with my depression.
Hit some trails too just don’t go through high water
Get out and have fun!
@@DavidsHowtosReviews thank you I will
👍👍
@@DavidsHowtosReviews I will like to ask you where should I buy the tires for the scooter solid Rubber, I was checking on Amazon but I’m not sure if that’s the right ones, the size from my scooter are 80/65-6
These are the ones I was going to get but are expensive
I run green slim
Plus solid is heavy
More rotating mass may slow scooter
good morning
I have a joyor y5s I installed a new motor but unfortunately the wheel spins in the opposite direction what do I do?
Just switch the wires
Or it’s possible it was put together backwards
And the rotor is on the wrong side
What display does the S5 have on yours, I have the Z930?
Only marks are
ROHS
Joyor makes a tool with a slot and sent me one. They are well aware of this situation
A 2$socket and 5$handle and notch it and done
But it should come with the scooter
They haven't replied to me yet so in the end I made the tool as shown in the video.
@@OneShotWeeb Amazon sells something called a line socket and they have a slot in them
Hey qq, I have the S10 and I can’t seem to work out the order of the washers for the front tire. Are you able to show this? Really appreciate it.
I will try to get a short up in a little bit
I uploaded a short on the locations
What size socket did you use for rear tire
Front and rear are the same
@@DavidsHowtosReviews so 18mm
My good sir I want to buy a hose for my electrical scooter joyor s10-s which degree valve I need? The original is 90 degrees, but can I use 45 degrees, do you think it will fit??
Yes I don’t think you will have a problem
@@DavidsHowtosReviews Thank you very much for the help, it's nice to know that I can use a hose with 45 degrees valve. Sorry to bother you again but i forgot to ask you another thing, the website where I got my scooter from, I ask the shop owner the website owner, which tube (hose) should I use for my scooter, I took a picture of my tire so he could see the size numbers on the tire, it is 80/65 - 6, after he saw the numbers on the tire he told me to use 10x2.5 size tube, but when I took the tube out of the tire, the size number on the hose was 10x2.125. I told him about it, he got confused, now I see you know more than he does, that's why your opinion is more important to me than his, he has both hose in different sizes, the hose with 10x2.125 size he only has with 45 degrees valve, but the hose with 10x2.5 size he has both with 90 degrees valve and 45 degrees valve. Do you think I can use the hose with size 10x2.5?? Because I really want to use with 90 degree valve hose. Thank you in advance.
@@EdwardAivazovsky that one u have is only just under 0.250 which is nothing
The tube will adjust as you blow it up.
I would go with straight or 45deg
It will be much easier to fill with air.
That’s just my opinion but ether one will work just fine
I cant get the back tire on. With the washer on the inside on both sides. I don't think im doing it rite cuz i thought i got it on once but thr tire didn't spin freely. I have the s10s scooter.
You need to make sure the inner spacers are correctly in place, it sounds like one is not in place
That would cause the wheel to get hung up and drag.
Can you tell me the proper tire pressure on Joyor S5 scooter? Couldn't find it in the manual.
50lbs
Thanks a lot, David!👍
Bought 3 tires on Amazon and fit a flat and green slime plus a Wing nut and some glue 😂🎉
Hey bud how do you replace the rear tire on the s5
On this model it's the same as this video
The new 3rd gen I don't know I don't own the new one
Hey, love your vids. I just bought and received an S5 800 watt, and the back tire came deflated, which was fine, but the tire will not inflate. I’ve tried a foot pump and air compressor at 50psi and nothing. Do you think it’s a bum tire or am I missing something?
I had a problem with the valve in the one.
Remove the valve see if it looks normal.
Basically pin is straight not bent and the inside seal is seating the are very cheap u can get anywhere
Walmart, auto zone, target,
If it doesn’t work might be a bad tube.
@@DavidsHowtosReviews thank you, I’ll check it out.
Yes sir definitely a bum tire. What's another bummer, is that you might have to either send it back for replacement after you already waited to receive it. The other option is to take it to the nearest scooter shop, it's going to cost you about 75 bucks depending on the shop. Still have to keep spending, that's a total bummer.
@@bayluv9278 yeah, tell me about it. I’ve had the scooter sitting in my garage for 3 days now and I can’t use it. I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning it. I got it at a great price, and a replacement tire and tube is $25 on Amazon, but I have to wait 3 weeks to receive it. I’m waiting for this scooter dealer to open so I can call and see if they would do it for me, if not, I’m going to just return it.
@@DavidsHowtosReviews I’m just going to go ahead and order a new tube, and have a shop put it on since I don’t have the proper tools. It’s a 10x2.5 tube correct?
I think i did the cut on the deep 18mm socket wrong.. it keeps slipping with each crank
If to deep or socket is to thin the metal will flex and possibly slip
Where do you get off Roading tires because my S 10 S scooter came with street tires

Can you repair the tube without taking the rim/tire off?
U can repair tube by leaving rim and tire in place but u still need to pop the bead and get the tube out .
And that may be a real pain.
But I’m sure it can be done
Patch it like a bicycle tube

Also on the front wheel on the S5 is 17mm and the back is 18mm....
Just replaced the tire on my s10 and now wont go faster then 16m/h
3:11 u need vice grips and a large monkey wrench… no need for a socket wrench and a cutting tool..
Solid tires on a scooter with an actual suspension make no real difference under 25 mph I’ve found
It would be for not worrying about flats because if you can go 50miles I would hate to get a flat that far out!

Should’ve be able to get them at Amazon
Just type in sold scooter tires
And the size
Then pick the type u need
Street, all terrain or off road
I believe this is the tire that you need.
Just double check the size and if the pattern works for what you need
