    I was looking around for a long travel setup for my 71 C10. You ain't kidding that parts/kits/info this doesn't seem to exist. I've done enough enough of the lowering thing and 4×4 thing. You basically came up with a bolt on kit. I'm trying to see if the same parts work on a 71. Great video

    Question nobody has asked (so far). Do you think you could come up with a parts "recipe" for a 4 inch lift on 1st Gen (60-66) C10 2WD? Everyone slams the 1st Gen C10's presumably because of the difficulty in lifting them. Just thinking swap to C30 rear-end w/ leaf springs and 2" or 3" block lift for the rear then your "mix-n-match" front suspension combination for the 4" lift up front? Thx, (and I just subscribed!)

    • @HarmonGarage

      @@HarmonGarage Thx Aaron. And for the rear-end lift since 1st Gen C10 are coil springs do you agree swapping to a leaf spring and block lift is the way to go? Maybe a C30 axle/leaf spring? Would have to switch to 5 lug axles for wheel package?

    • @HarmonGarage
      @HarmonGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. That’s what I meant about changing over ALL the suspension. Unless you already have the c30 stuff or want it to be heavy duty, you can just use c10 stuff and already have the 5 lug axles

    Were you able to keep stock 15" wherls on this? I remember reading a thread online for essentially the same set up but it mentioned needing larger wheels due to flipping the Tie rod end under the spindle. Couldn't really tell if you needed to put the tie rod under the spundle or not. Or did you use the C1500 tie rod end to get around that?

    • @HarmonGarage
      @HarmonGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used c1500 tie rods and factory 15 in wheels fit just fine. There is a full build series on this truck. If you look at the other videos it has wheels and tires on it

    • @OutlawH2
      @OutlawH2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @HarmonGarage Awesome, I did scroll through a couple of vids but were not sure if the rally wheels were replicas with a custom offset or not. I believe the reason for the tie rod flip normally was due to different tapers between the C10 and C1500 tie rod ends. So it's great to know that it can be avoided by using the C1500 tie rod ends.

If i do a lift at all...it's just gonna be for looks. If i don't, i might just hang the back to get it level. I don't mind a lowered truck either, used to be real into that scene when i was younger.

    So glad I found your video you’re the man L0L
    I’m a novice don’t know much about it but I have an 84C 10 I would like to lift 2 inches. I have two questions for someone. One is at about the 24 minute mark you mention that it was kind of tough putting it together because when you try to put parts together that we’re not purposed that can happen. First question is is there anything that you can tell me about that that would help the guy that’s going to try to do this for me ?
    My next question is you’re lifting 4 inches I think I would like to lift only two so my question is can you tell me do you think that will work and one exact part is different than what you’ve done? May seem like a very ignorant question and it is because I just don’t know
    Thank you

    • @HarmonGarage
      @HarmonGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching. First thing in my opinion no question is dumb if you ask it. I have not done a 2 inch lift on one of these trucks but to only lift it 2 inches you can probably get away with only a heavy duty or lift spring in the front and then a 2 inch block in the rear. As far as it being tough to put it together will all different parts, it’s not all that bad. This one in the video actually went really smooth. You just have to take a little more attention to detail when the parts aren’t necessarily made to go together. Hopefully this helps. If not keep asking questions.
