If someone has been using pink Himalayan salt before peak week. Would you advice to completely replace that salt to Morton Lite Salt for the potassium balance for peak week and show day? Also what's the range of sodium would you advice 30min before stage to hold glycogen just in case? Thank you for this video again!

I personally don't use MLS that much any more. I used it to peak clients about 15 years ago, mentioned it in some articles, and others started using it. I stopped for the reason you mention here--it's not what the client is used to (probably) and they likely have enough potassium from their fibrous carbs (fruits and vegetables). But, I'm not against it...could be a good idea for some people. In terms of amounts, the average human "need"/intake is around 2,400 mg. Some athletes may be consuming 5,000 mg per day, so I'm careful to keep them similar all week and then I can contextually increase when needed, as you said, pre-pump up. Never more than 200-500 mg in one dose, usually more on the conservative side because their intake would have been pretty uniform.

@@thedietdocweightloss Thank you for the detailed explanation! You answered it all. Great sign of an expert 👌 As you mentioned a great strategy would be to just implement MLS when needed such as show day or day of show day when veggies are lowered due to fiber content. Hope I got that right!

What sodium/potassium ratio would you recommend in the peak week? Thank you🙏☺️

The average recommendation for sodium is 2,000-2,500 mg/day. Large males might need more; people who are extremely active can use more; drinking a lot of water can necessitate more; but it depends on what you've been consuming. the biggest goal is to be consistent. Potassium is recommended about 1,500-2,000 mg - both sodium and potassium intake recommendations mean what's in your total diet--in food and condiments and supplements.
