Fear is cause by thinking and clinging to the idea of a permanent, separate self or ego-center. Mindfulness meditation helps us to see that thoughts are just thoughts, only impermanent mental objects. And the self is just a result of social conditioning based on thinking and memory and the use of the "I" label in communication. The Buddha was the first person to have this awakening and insight. Too much thinking creates mental suffering and delusion - worry, obsession, fear, anxiety, craving, frustration, regret and guilt, confusion and despair. Only awareness can free us from this mental delusion and suffering. Awareness, mindfulness is the unconditioned state of mind. There is fear, not I'm afraid. It is impermanent, a temporary mental state. This too shall pass.
anxiety taught me levels of fear that i didnt even knew i could feel, almost ten years dealing with it and the answear always was facing my fears ,but oh boy, anxiety got his special ways to torture you into thinking it is all real.God bless all whos going through this, i know what youre going .All i can say is dont give up, theres a intire New life beyond this darkness, you got this
Yes , i totally agree with what you said . living this understanding brings total ease to life . Immense gratitude and love for sharing this pointer 🙏🙏
It didnt really hit me until I realized that asking "Is there really a guy named Mark?" But rather asked "Is there really a guy named Mark that's suffering?" I think the difference was that suffering and the ego go hand in hand. I was just trying to rid myself of suffering but wasn't really ready to face the truth. After that it was an interesting shift. Very humbling. Really was like swallowing a red pill. The world is real. Not in its appearance but in its essence. The so called personal self is almost like a virus in the way it attaches on. No way of explaining it. It's beyond space and time. Nothing can touch it.
And it took you until today to realise that your fear of suffering is simply your fear of non existence manifesting in the form of an objective fear, namely the fear of suffering. All fear is the fear of non existence. Albeit in the experience of suffering your existence is veiled and therefore that is why you fear it.
Good News! i discovered that the brain/body is capable of setting itself Totally Free of fear, anxiety, sorrow, despair, loneliness, shame, guilt, confusion, contradictions, addictions, irritations, triggers, vanity, envy, greed, jealousy, attachment, possessiveness, ill-will, hatred, cruelty, bias, prejudice, and all other mental/emotional disturbances, in each and every moment of daily life, 24/7.
This gives birth to True Love, Peace, Happiness, Creativity, & Clarity, for the very first time. Not the love, peace, happiness, that the I, the me, the self, the thinker, the mind, imagines it to be, which is a limitation, imitation, and distortion. For the very first time, Soul is happening, Spirit is happening, Heart is happening. It is not temporary. It is happening in each & every moment of daily life, 24/7. It does not take time. It has nothing whatsoever to do with time, effort, or choice. It occurs faster than the speed of light. The children are ready to be set Totally Free at the earliest age so they don't waste their whole life with any mental/emotional disturbances.
This might surprise you but lots of people find solace in the idea that they are temporary finite beings that will come to an end one day. Some even look forward to it. On the other hand the idea of being absolutely real and eternal will create anxiety and fear in most people, not the opposite like you suggest.
What they do look forward to is the end of what they believe to be. Which is the finite body mind again. So unbeknownst to themselves they just wish for the end of their imprisonment in the prison which they are imagining for themselves. And they are right. it's a good thing it is neither real nor eternal. As for the death of the body-mind, as Hamlet put it: "It is a consummation devoutly to be wished."
The only thing is, i never suggested that fear is the fear of death, its the fear of non existence. So those people you speak of who find solice in their limitation, I can bet you a million bucks they have other fears, and those fears are merely the same fear of non existence we all have manifesting in finite form, because the reason one would find solice in something coming to an end is if they knew that it would not be the end of their self, but the end of a certain cycle of experience. Because infact those people would have a fear, a fear of eternity, and their imposition of what eternity is would be an experience they could never leave which would be hell, which is the experience of nonexistence, which infact means the fear of non existence is what they fear. So what you’re saying is that they find solace in having a temporary limited body, and I agree. But that doesn’t equate to the fact they don’t fear non existence 🙏
The idea is wrong though. You never die. And you were never born. Your experience will show you that. He's not making a suggestion this is not a theory or a concept. It is experience without the limitation of the mind.
I would suggest the process is not essentially doing one thing and that’s it, (however that can definitely happen but we shouldn’t see it that way or expect it) but a continuous contemplation where we understand deeper and deeper what truly consists of our experience if we were to see it without any thought or concept as to what it is. And from that point of view I would suggest exploring the nature of consciousness, we must find its limitation. If we see it has no limitation, we can’t therefore conclude it is limited to anything, such as a body. If you’d like to have specific directions check out the meditation playlist on my channel 🙏
When one experience fear, one sense it. So fear like any other product of reality derived from sense. So reality is sense. The thing is.. As it may look like we experience reality as seperate from it. We actually that reality. So when one sees fear, he is the fear.. See what happens when one realise that.. 🙂
This is great n will surely help...but ppl live entire life by fear so they miss life and dont feel alive ?? Right ?? Can you just elobrate the thing you said cloud like things...how our real self look like ??
This is a direct approach it’s not for everyone. Fear is a useful mechanism also. Can keep the body alive. Most people feel fears that are supposed to be there because without fear they don’t take action. We must do what necessary on the level of the world to ensure the we are in the best position possible, then direct attention to this approach.
Youre misunderstanding my definition of existence. All form borrows its existence from something. That is the formless. That is existence in my definition
@sajafendel that makes sense. That confused me a little bit because for something to exist, there has to be forms, and the concept of forms is a projection of our minds trying to label objects as if it were their forms, in other words, there was never a form in reality to begin with. The reality just is, and it will always be
Sadly this isn't helpful, because like all awakened guides you're talking in grand abstracts rather than pulling the message down to something tangible for our minds to grasp. I like your videos, but could you please use more practical and personal examples to illustrate your point. For example, how does this video apply to the fear in the form of procrastination, such as the fear of getting on with creative work? This can be such an intense fear as to be similar to the fear of death, but I'm also talking about lesser fears such as say, fear of not accomplishing our potential, or saying the wrong thing, or getting lost, or whatever. Please use more concrete examples when you're trying to explain this, as I've tried to connect with these abstract concepts from numerous guides for 25 years and it's very frustrating. Thanks
I'm not saying this is necessarily the case but , Could it be that you want someone else to explain something in such detail or is in a way that is satisfactory to your own filters, instead of you taking the information and doing your own contemplation to make it your own? Trust me that's much more potent in the end , BTW I had a completely different experience from this video and it was very helpful.....
I can’t yet do a better job. This is the best I can do at my current ability. This is exactly what worked for me. But i always work to improve what I share and how I share it so I appreciate you giving valuable feedback. However, I am just saying exactly what worked for me. This is not for everyone. So if this doesn’t work for you, just move on from it.
"My" "mind" which seems to exist according to "it's" definition of what can "be" and can seem to be known to exist is like yours and it wants to know in known terms and "ways". It wants to confirm it's concept of itself and it's concepts but I'm coming to be aware that this type of limited knowing is the very ever changing illusory "existence". If we can connect with what he's saying it seems to me that it will apply to all particular situations. It's likely that confirming the "existence" of passing situations is like confirming the "existence" of fear which will never allow it to dissolve. He mentioned the screen and the ocean existing. Screen is not effected by it's images within or on it and the ocean is not effected by it's waves and motions and changes. It's not up to the absolute perspective or presence to entertain the relative but as I continue to face that my mind and it's dependence on conceptual confirmation is not going to suffice and satisfy and by continuing exposure to where the guides are coming from it gradually sinks in and insights that confirm that what the nondual teachings are presenting are present in my awareness. Most often in the morning. The insights wear off as the mind reasserts it's ways throughout the day but somehow very sometimes very gradually from the mind's perspective the insights deepen and more and more truth is present. Truth that is ever present. I'm not giving up no matter what "i" or anyone thinks. A book that's helping me of late besides Nisargadatta and Spira stuff is Silence of the Heart of Robert Adams words as recorded by his students. Some simple suggestions in the book have been fairly impactful without much time or effort like his saying to say "I", "I", "i"..... as a first thing in the morning mantra among others. I was glad to see Saja equate existence and presence as for me "existence" can seem more conceptual than presence. I equate 'conceptual' with 'seeming to know being'. Whatever.
It’s a huge topic and I don’t think you’ll get an answer from one source. I tend to listen to a lot of great teachers and come to my own understanding after I’ve put the pieces together. Abstraction has to be there or else you are depending on the mind which all this is ultimately beyond. Maybe turn more towards psychology for now. Or find someone who delivers the message more simple. Btw, this vid wasn’t easy for me either…couching it in everyday examples could be helpful. Check out Michael Singer as well, incredible teacher. 🙏
I'm sorry, but I think that you are really missing the mark here. I have fear because I'm unemployed, can't find a job and am scared of running out of money and ending up homeless like the people I see around me in los angeles. I'm scared of being cold, hungry, and my safety constantly threatened. Any advice for that?
Not hitting the mark sir. All the same applies. It tells me also you might not have watched the video all the way through so I will say again, firstly this doesn’t apply to everyone and their condition. In your situation, you need to work on what your issue is and stop watching videos on fear. Do whatever you can to get yourself in the right position. This isn’t career advice my friend. If you’re in fear because you’re unemployed and can’t find a job you need to work on the beliefs that are creating that experience. All experience is created by our beliefs about life. Focus on that area and don’t focus on what in sharing. I suggest Neville Goddard, and a channel that shares good stuff about him is elmr lockr jr

I have read your comment a dozen times but still can’t make heads or tails of it. Thank you anyway. All the best.
Parmenides said that non existence is the most absurd idea and can never be spoken of in any coherent manner.
How can we see clearly that our existence/awareness is not dependent on the body?
I would suggest the process is not essentially doing one thing and that’s it, (however that can definitely happen but we shouldn’t see it that way or expect it) but a continuous contemplation where we understand deeper and deeper what truly consists of our experience if we were to see it without any thought or concept as to what it is.
