i wish i knew an expert on modifying these fardriver controllers to get the settings right. i'd like 60mph and 54-55mph when the battery is half down. the torque is much much better at 100amps that's for sure. upping the power to 100% at take off helps too. also the throttle acceleration can be adjusted so the power is instant and doesn't ramp up. that park mode bugged me so much. now its gone :)
@@MrCentralDriver man the max line amps dont have anything to do with the take off speed that is on the maxphasecurr side maxlinecurr is for top speed not take off speed
@@MrCentralDriverthe battery is rated for 80amps line, I set mine down to 80amps and I get 55mph at 100% and 50% battery. The Regen is the game changer, I have it set to 10/15amp max. My 1st gear I set to top out at 39mph and 2nd tops out at 50mph. Both have much much more torque than stock settings. Still trying to figure out if Regen on brake or throttle off is better.
From what I read of the fardriver manual, that "weak" setting already indicates that field weakening is on. Nothing you tweak in the settings is likely to give any extra top speed. The only solution to that is a higher voltage battery, which this controller likely won't handle. (My understanding is this is a 72150, so the 72v battery is already at the limits voltage wise, for the controller.) You can certain get more amps for punch and startup, but without verifying the cells in the battery and the bms capabilities, pushing those values up is...not without risk. At best, it'll degrade the battery a lot faster, at worst it's a fire.
volt X amps = watts so if you have it at 72v at 100amps thats 7200 watts. maybe try to match the watt number with the amps you put it at and maybe it'll be more stable?
Maybe. I thought about that. Just odd because it was setup as 72v3000w and running 70amps which means 5040w and it was set at 3000w and ran smooth. But yeah there's always some tweaking that could be done. When I get time I'll mess with it and see if I can get more top speed. The torque has already increased a bunch.
Have you tried the manufacturer hack to add top speed? Where are you? Engage the throttle all the way and the break while the bike is off and holding it down for nine seconds?
The motor speed is limited by the voltage, this one is rated at 72V (84V when the battery is fully charged), the hack works when they come limited to 30mph in software, but the M1PS is already running at top speed.
Only difference is the voltage(72v vs 60v) and max mileage(75miles max vs 55miles: but an option to add 2nd battery in compartment or storage area) from bike. I have the M1P PRO and it still hits over 55mph..at times. But to see this video to remove the damn park is great
