The Noisia remix of Arrakis is now 10 years old! One of the greatest remixes to have come out in 2013! Everything from the introduction to the heavy hitting drop is just PERFECTION! This was ahead of its time! A true masterpiece!
I saw Noisia live at some NYE 2013/14 event and when they played this remix - I hadn't heard it before - I was rly disappointed because it felt like they messed up the perfection that is the BSE original. But once I listened to it a second time at home I was like "wtf was even wrong with me? this is done so fucking well" lol
@@DanielKMihalev Equally? Not by a long shot 🤣This really is one of the greatest tracks ever created. But i can try name a few. Obviously the original Arrakis by Black Sun Empire is just as amazing as the remix. Pythius - Executor Noisia - Into Dust Noisia - Mantra Black Sun Empire & Pythius - Scarif Black Sun Empire - Eraser Teebee & Noisia - Moon Palace Mefjus - The Sirens Black Sun Empire - All is Lost Black Sun & Noisia - The Veil I'm not really sure if they are even similiar, but all of these tracks are building huge atmosphere through it's long intro and the drops are massive. Heavy but beautiful. Also as you can see there are pretty much only 3 artists on my list so definitely check them out.
Arrakis has always been my favorite DNB track and the guys from Noisia have always been my favorite producers. Couldn't have wished for a better remix.
Used to be in my playlist, most it for 4 years because I could not remember the name of this track. Had to wait til Dune came out for it to jog my memory, finally..
I heard the original by black sun empire a few years ago and never heard this remix since then till yesterday while I was at work....fixing computers and rocking out to this version is just heaven!! ^_^
jack jackson How? This song always gets mentioned as one of the best / most influential dnb tracks of all time and has been rinsed in clubs around the world for the past 10 years
Anyone remember goldeneye for Nintendo 64? The beginning of the song reminds me of the train level. The bells in the background or whatever you want to call them
My short review of this song: This is, without a single doubt, the best song Noisia has made themselves. Yes, I like Sunhammer more, but that is a collab with Amon Tobin, so it’s not completely their song. I love this song for several reasons. The song is in H Minor, my favourite pitch, the reeces are outstanding, but what stands out the most about this song are the fucking drums. They use a ride based loop for the more reece-based part of the first drop and changes it to a more brutal loop for the second part of that same drop. But the most genious thing is that they change it up for the second drop, and I can’t have enough of listening to that. It just sounds too damn epic. This is easily one of the 20 best drum & bass songs out there.
+Chakadon Studios I mean, they didn't make it themselves... The melody and the reece bassline is largely conserved from the BSE original. But i do agree that they did a great job on the drums, though i personally still rate both the original and the remix as about equal.
I am sorry guys, but how do I answer comments here? This whole new comment system is sooo bad, I cant even thumbs up or see the most rated comments! Help please :)
Dont often play too many Neuro flavours in my sets, but i always make room for new BSE, Upbeats or Noisia. Consistently brilliant productions from these guys, and this remix is further proof of that. So filthy and raw, but still produced in a perfectly ''clean'' way. Absolutely essential.
@@robinlukas4025 Listening Noisia too much?😂 Kámo nic takového neexistuje 😂 Noisia jsou život!❤️ Pokud si aspoň jednou denně nedám Mantru a Into Dust nežil bych 😂

Personally I like the old one much better, first heard it in EVE's "No Other Destiny" trailer. Why does this one have so many more views than the old one? Just because this group is more popular and there are more youtube users than there were when the original was released?
I think you like the original better is because you're not that into D&B. This version however harness the best parts of the original, and thus it gets more views.
Ts. D Although I liked this remix, there was an older one that Noisia played it, and the bass was much better in my opinion. It was much more obscure, and intense than the original one. It was on a concert in CZ. About your opinion, because of not being English (I speak a bit, as you can see), I didnt understood entirely what you said, but from what I understood, I totally agree with you.
Adrian Zwoliński i did some research, breakbeats can be a genre or an umbrella term for drums that don't typically follow the standard 4x4 beat, for example, dnb, dubstep, etc, but the genre called breakbeat is 140 bpm
a good example for two good producers! Arrakis itself has a very unique sound, but Noisa was able to add their own style. This is, what I call a REMIX. Not a whole new song. Thanks for that!

It's really insane. Considering original track coming from an album titled "Driving Insane", name fits well to these melodies
i like the original but this is the one ive always played in my sets
The production level Noisia put into every song is just insane
Yeah but some songs take 3 years, even if they are a group of 3
Available now on UKF Drum & Bass 2013! smarturl.it/ukfdnb2013itunes
Still one of the greatest tracks of all time.
One of the best intros in the whole history of DnB. BSE and Noisia are no joke.

Aurora Octane You won't find Noisia in the UK unless their on a tour or doing some exclusive events.
+Morph Verse Yes I know that. Thats why I stated I wanted to go to one of the Noisia Invites show in the Uk. ;)
Favourite track of 2013, hands down!
definite banger.

Noisia are next level. This still sounds fresh 7 years later.

+Sion Gethin Hill - In Germany, H is the equivalent to B in the English system. B in Germany is the English B-flat.

It’s weird because the original song by BSE is rather harsh for me. I just don’t like it, but they did a pretty decent job remixing it.
I am Loving this version of the song! I hope this gets added to Spotify in the coming days, It needs to get into my DnB playlist!

This didn't need a remix but the only producers who could make this one a remix worthy to listen to are the guys from Noisia. I rest my case.
i love how noisia puts hard emphasis on their drums(well yeah the bass as well). thats dnb

First good track on UKF since such a long time.
if you compare Noisa to Darth Vader, im pretty sure Noisa owns more of the darkside........
Vader went liquid at the end of EP VI.
Technical Itch would like to have a word with you!) Accompanied by Dom&Roland.
Kind of funny cause Arrakis is a planet from Dune and Tatooin from Star Wars was inspired by Dune
They must have played Dune the game, the same instruments in the beginning (adlib, OPL sound lovers).
and Black Sun Empire (the creators of the song) took their name from Darth Maul's organisation the Black Sun
Heard it yesterday in the club. Banger!
Not a bad remix. But there are some masterpieces that dont need a remix because they are just too good. Arrakis is one of these imo.
Oh my god.. the drop was so much more than I expected. This is sick
Black Sun Empire - Arrakis is from 2005. I have it on my old hard drive..............
