I believe I am having the same problem on my 2002 Polaris 500 Sportsman. Did you have to go to the Polaris Dealer for the o-ring? Wondering if the right size might be in one of those o-ring kits with many different sizes in it. The nearest Polaris Dealer is probably at least 25 miles away. Seems silly to drive there for just maybe a dollar o-ring.
I own a 2002 Sportsman 500 purchased brand new. I love the heck out of it. Never had a single issue with it until now which I believe is this same O-Ring issue. Don’t be afraid of buying one for yourself. I just need to see where I can get the o-ring locally or online. Looks to be in a kit I see on Ebay with other parts but I haven’t seen the o-Rings sold by themselves. If so I would buy a half dozen or how ever they come.
I’d comment and ask some questions but I see you don’t really answer your comments or read your comments. Kind of worthless to put a video online showing how to do something and you not answer the questions
I love you for 3:38 that’s literally my problem
For those that do not know when that oring leaks into the oil. So do a oil change too after you replace the oring.
Well, that's eight minutes of my life I'll never get back. I hope this isn't your day job.
Thank you man. Exactly my problem and this solved it. Thanks.
Awesome! Thanks. Would the carb be the same on 97 500?
Great video!

I love Polaris I have a trailblazer 250 and it's so easy to work with.
We’re did you buy the o ring at
There's a clear ish tube coming out of the tight side of the carb, where does it route to?
well did it fix it?
where is the spring that puts tension on the throttle cable located ?
Go a little slower and take more video of assembly and disassembly. We are trying to figure out how stuff is routed and where stuff goes.
so did hat fix it because mine is doing the same thing and if that didn't work for yurs we did something and it made it better
Thanks for making this video it really helped i had the same problem with my polaris, exact quad
Glad it helped!
Thanks. That's my next project on my Sportsman 500 HO.
Do you have any idea where the foam strips are supposed to stick to the fuel tank on a 2001 Sportsman 500?
That float needle, does it just ride over that metal part with its wire end? Mine came out rather quickly and I missed it
What size is the o-ring?
Good video I have a 500 predator with the same issue of leaking gas good information thanks
i have a question on the carburetor for my 99 polaris scrambler and i was wondering if you could help me out?
where did you get the oring or a part number ???
Ummmmmm, you didn’t rebuild the carburetor, just replaced an O-ring, big difference 🤨
Do you like that quad, does it have a lot of issues or is it a good quad?
I have actually since sold this quad because of the fact it was starting to have more and more issue like overheating.
So its not that great of a quad? How many miles were on it?
Its not horrible but I tend to stay away from quads 10 years or older. It had 4000miles. I would try to find one a bit newer.
Ok thank you for your advice.

Where dose the needle go into the carb

Dude everything was too fast and your hands and arms are in the way to see what you were doing 🤔
Pretty much a worthless video. Lose the music and explain as you go. Too much fast forward on the video. No info on part numbers or source of parts.👎
The music was extra gay!
