Literally the first video where somebody *ACTUALLY MAKES SOAP!!!* I mean every other video is like "How to make soap" and step 1 is like "buy soap and cat into pieces"

I usually read blogs before I attempt a new craft. There are always specific terms and language to help you find what you're looking for. For example, this recipe is an example of "Cold Process" which is one of the four major types, and it is one of the only ones to use Lye which is harmful if misused.
Other types are Melt and Pour, Hot Process, and Rebatching.

Coconut oil is very drying on the skin if that is your only ingredient for making soap. It would be okay but you'll need to increase your superfat percent to at least 20 so your skin doesn't become extremely dry.

Mine isn’t hardening. It’s all mushy in the silicone mold after two days. Is it because the oils weren’t hot enough when I added the water/lye mixture? Is there anything I can do to save this squishy soap? I’m editing to add that I’ve used this recipe twice now and both times it came out all squishy and mushy. I was able to save one batch by re batching it but the other batch is still squishy. I’m positive I got the measurements right. Could the problem be that I’m using an enamel coated cast iron pot? I’ve heard you should use a stainless steel pot but I don’t have one.
