ʻIolani Palace invites residents to Kamaʻāina Sundays, a free monthly event

  • ʻIolani Palace, located in downtown Honolulu, invites all residents to Kamaʻāina Sunday that will take place every second Sunday of the month starting July.

    Something I've always wondered about being a local and had Hawaiian History class. Why didn't Liliuokalani and the Hawaiian Kingdom NOT have an ARMY and SECURITY to protect themselves?

      She had the Royal Guard and the guard barrack is located on site on the palace grounds. the Royal Guard protected her and the palace.
