As someone who watches the show subbed, I'm _very_ impressed with this dub of the song. We Are was really well done too (if only they had done the second verse too!)
@Pixygon: Vic Mignogna was the vocalist for We Are and a number of other opening and closing songs for One Piece and other Funimation properties over the years. He has a great voice. Like others here, I think the actor who portrays Brook nailed his version of Bink's Brew.

Brooks backstory really hit me. In the end when they were all singing binks sake after they were attacked by other pirates and were all still happy and sang their hearts out😢. They all started dying mid song and it was just sad to watch especially the “a trio…..and a duet….a solo” It’s so heartbreaking

@@jameskozy7254 isnt that no lomger the case after timeskip? Also, the time he lostafter Impel down likely wont matter in One Piece, the story should be long over before that point, unless we're watching Luffy go from his current age all the way until his 50's-60's
The thing i love about One Piece is that it can make you feel deeply connected to characters and imagine them as if they were people you know in real life. You're able to connect with them on an emotional (and spiritual level, as corny as that sounds) its like you can feel all of their emotions and understand it to a certain extent. I think when it ends and some years have passed, it'll go down as the greatest fictional story ever told. There's zero doubt in my mind about that : )
My best friend passed away last week… we had watched one piece sense it first aired, he loved Brook due to him also playing instruments. My friendship has become a solo act without him… till next time we meet I’ll keep this song close to my heart.

We cried when we saw Brook's flashback to singing this with his crew. Imagine the smiles on all of our faces when he can finally sing it with Laboon again. Keep fighting, Brook. You can't die until you sing to your biggest fan one more time.
My brother and I have been watching One Piece for a long time, we ended up reading the manga to be up to date, my brother passed away a few days ago and his last voyage was to egghead island. We even planned to watch Film Red this weekend, but now he won’t be able to, listening to this, it hits a lot harder. But I’ll continue to watch it, for him and all the other Nakamas who left too soon..
I am sorry for your loss. I am sure this song will be played when Luffy will become the King of the Pirates and your brother will dance with joy in heaven. 🍻
I listened to this masterpiece before watching One Piece. I thought, 'Not bad, it's a good song.' But while watching One Piece, when it actually played during the Thriller Bark saga, I understood the song's ending, and literally tears rolled down my eyes.
There were so many tearjerker moments. To each of the straw hat's backstory, to the side characters that the world government had influenced. It's why I love the series even if I've stopped watching it for it's ludicrous amount episodes.
One Piece might have a problem with how long it is...but I won't deny how powerful the emotional scenes are. This is a perfect example of how a moment can be both happy and tragic at the same time...it is a tale of how his crew and himself died....but it is also a tale of his new beginning.
Oda stated that when he wrote the lyrics for the song in the manga, he went with Kohei Tanaka (the creator of the one piece soundtracks) and that he made the melody for the song, so that it wouldn’t be a mess when trying to make in the anime. So the song was ready before the anime showed it. Just in case you didn’t knew :)) btw this was told by Oda in an SBS
Oda, continuing to eternally flex on the rest of humanity. The mad lad just went and wrote a song for his series and got the music done. Twice. (At a minimum). (Also if you don’t remember it’s here and the music for the vinsmokes when they have the epic power rangers transformation).
There are two ways to tell someone's a one piece fan when you play this: 1: They start singing with you 2: They start crying with you Edit: This is is easily my most liked comment, holy shit.
yep thats right i remember my cousin and i cry to this song its so sad that brook live all along on his crew all of sudden so we started to listen in YT and started to watch OP
I honestly think the ending of One piece is going to be the straw hats parting to go their own way, and one of the last scenes will be this song playing as we see where each goes. I just know for 100% sure that with the way the writing goes in one piece one of the final scenes will involve Brooke playing this song from the tone dial for Laboon.
this song is an emotion i have just reached the part when brook showed up and i love this song . and i want to come back here after the one piece ends 😌

A group of young boys and girls were playing pirates on an island. Suddenly one of the boys stop. "Hey guys hear that?" "Hear what?" says another kid from the group. "shhhh....listen" They all pause and listen. They hear a faint but clear violin echoing from the top of a hill near the shore. It is a familiar tune pirates used to sing a long time ago. "Common let's go!" says the first boy and everyone else start running towards the direction where the music was coming from. They finally reach reach the top of the cliff and they find a tall skeleton with an afro sitting alone and playing violin in fromt of some tombstones. The kid walks towards him when they saw the tombstones clearly. They were no names. Upon looking closer, they saw there were some items placed on each on the individual tombstones. One had three swords, one had books, one had a slingshot, one had a metallic rod, and so on. The kid came quietly and and stood behind the skeleton who was sitting in front of a tombstone which bigger than the others and was placed right at the center. That tombstonewas also unmarked but there was an old straw-hat on top of it with a jolly roger of a skull and cross-bones with the skull wearing a straw hat. One of the kids who a bit older then the other gasps. "Mugiwara no luffy..." he mumbles. the skeleton stop playing and turns around. "Oh hello there" the skeleton speaks with a gentle tone raising his hat with his hand to greet them. "Did you know him The P...Pirate king?" gasps the kid. The skeleton becomes silent for a few seconds and lets out a gentle yohoho. " Yes, he was my captain" smiles the skeleton. All of them gasps astonished. Their eyes widen and smiles. "Did you really sail with the Pirate King!?" one of them exclaims. "Well of course i did little one, I was blessed with the honor to be the the ship musician because every pirate crew needs music you see!" "What were they like? The pirate king and his crew?" exclaims another, all excited. "Oh where to begin! Well for starters, our shipwright was an eccentric yet brilliant cyborg who only ever drank cola. He was a spirit as free as the breeze that filled our sails and pushed all of us from the East blue to the Grand line, and on to raftel where he found the One Piece." A gentle wind blew across the cliff tousing their hair. They were all speechless. "And if i were to say any more, i would say they were my family, and i miss them very much" simles the skeleton. suddenly they hear a sound coming from the ocean. The kind of sounds whales make. The kids looked from the edge of the cliff and saw a huge whale with scars all over its forehead crests, and shooting water through its blowhole. The skeleton looks at the kids and laughs. "yohoho! I think at the end, they’ll do another time skip that serves as a “where are they now” segment. Luffy will be pirate king (hell it might end with him being executed in lougetown and making the same proclamation about his treasure, setting off a new pirate era) Zoro will be the world’s greatest swordsman and will be challenged by a young swordsman in a shifting of roles kinda like him and Mihawk. Nami will have made a map of the world. Robin will be studying the void century. Chopper will be a professional doctor of the same popularity as Hogback, though without the whole, evil psychopath side. Usopp will still be a pirate but as the captain of his own crew potentially going by the epithet “sniper king” as a nickname. Franky will have made the final battle Franky. Potentially the size of an island kinda like Thriller Bark. And Brooke will have kept his promise to Laboon and since he’s fully grown, sailing the seas with him.
I feel that story will end with Brook eventually making it back but on his own. The straw hats long dead and Brook finally fulfilling the promises of both Captains.

Gather up all of the crew! It's time to ship out Bink's brew! Sing a song and play along For all the ocean's wide! After all is said and done, you'll end up a skeleton! So spread your tale, from dawn till dusk, upon these boney seas! Yo-hohoho, Yo-hoho-ho, Yo-hohoho, Yo-hoho-ho, Yo-hohoho, Yo-hoho-ho, Yo-hohoho, Yo-hoho-ho.
The connection of this song to the story is far deeper than i initially thought, its as if the lyrics are actually telling stuff that happened or might happen. Take the bit for example: ""Somewhere in the endless sky, stormy winds are blowing wide, evening comes, its time to sound the drums, but steady men they never fear, tomorrow's sky is always clear, so pound your feet and clap your hands, till sunny days return." This is literally Luffy vs Kaido fight. The stormy winds in the evening being Kaido roaming over the skies of Onigashima, the fearless men being Straw Hats and all the samurai alliance fighting back. Time to sound the drums - literally Drums of liberation. Pound your feet, clap your hands - Luffy in Gear 5 having fun fighting. Till sunny days return - Sun God Nika has returned. Makes me wonder if the rest of the lyrics somehow also are telling what MIGHT happen in the future. "After all is said and done" - Luffy finding One Piece becoming pirate king. "You'll end up a skeleton" - Might be about Brook being the last one straw hat remaining as he is esentially immortal. "So spread your tale, from dusk till dawn, upon these foamy seas" - Brook passing the story about Luffy's adventure and all what happened over to next generations.
Is this from when Brook's crew died? But I thought I heard Lola at the beginning saying "We can all sing along" and I even heard Luffy singing in the crowd, so I thought this was when Brook was joining the Straw Hats. Or was this song edited from the whole series?
Somewhere in the endless sky Stormy winds are blowing wide Waves are dancing Evening comes *It’s time to sound the drums* But steady men, and never fear Tomorrow’s skies are always clear So pound your feet Clap your hands *Till sunny days return*

I keep coming back to this song. Not just because it’s beautifully composed and sang or because it hits hard with pretime skip memories, but because I had a friend who loved One Piece just as much, if not more than me, who sadly passed away due to cancer on February 9th of 2023. On days I find myself thinking of him, I remember the words Brook spoke to Luffy “it is a song played in moments of happiness and sorrow” and play this song to remember my friend long gone who gets to sail the eternal seas. And just like Brook, his friends and family are left alone wondering how to go on, yet the lyrics aid in this endeavor “wave goodbye but don’t you cry our memories remain. Our days are but a passing dream, everlasting though they seem. Beneath the moon we’ll meet again, the wind’s our lullaby”. I don’t know exactly where I’m going with this, I just wanted to get this off my chest in some shape or form.

Just in case you didn’t knew :))
btw this was told by Oda in an SBS
Oda, continuing to eternally flex on the rest of humanity. The mad lad just went and wrote a song for his series and got the music done. Twice. (At a minimum). (Also if you don’t remember it’s here and the music for the vinsmokes when they have the epic power rangers transformation).

The connection of this song to the story is far deeper than i initially thought, its as if the lyrics are actually telling stuff that happened or might happen.
Take the bit for example:
""Somewhere in the endless sky, stormy winds are blowing wide, evening comes, its time to sound the drums, but steady men they never fear, tomorrow's sky is always clear, so pound your feet and clap your hands, till sunny days return."
This is literally Luffy vs Kaido fight.
"Well, i'd seem like we are down to a Quartet, A Trio, And a duet, ..... A solo." Words of tears
Enough to make someone speechless and cry...
You've got me crying my eyes out if I had eyes to cry
I'm crying my eyes out!! Oh wait I'm a skeleton and dont have eyes yo ho ho ho!! 😢❤
Is this from when Brook's crew died? But I thought I heard Lola at the beginning saying "We can all sing along" and I even heard Luffy singing in the crowd, so I thought this was when Brook was joining the Straw Hats. Or was this song edited from the whole series?
@SeanWheeler100 sounds like the first verse was the rumbar pirates after that you can hear luffy
Brook's arc was probably one of the most saddest things in one piece
True I cried twice in the arc, and this is the only arc where I cried watching an anime. Zoro's sacrifice and Brook's back story..
Nyo it certainly was the one that got to me most
Even moreso than Chopper's Backstory.
The only sad arc for me and back story is chopper and Brook, idk how people think robins back story is sad
@@jamirocy What about Sanji's?
I think this is a better song to hear on my birthday than the happy birthday song
I hope whoever composed the song is living their best life
The crew that brought a smile to everyone’s hearts RIP THE RUMBAR PIRATES❤️
The Crew that brings a smile to every child GIVE IT UP FOR THE RUMBAR PIRATES
the crew that sung till they droped THE RUMBAR PIRATES
The crew that keeps their word THE RUMBAR PIRATES
And the RUMBAR PIRATES PLAYED ON!
Somewhere in the endless sky
Stormy winds are blowing wide
Waves are dancing
Evening comes
*It’s time to sound the drums*
But steady men, and never fear
Tomorrow’s skies are always clear
So pound your feet
Clap your hands
*Till sunny days return*
ye i just made a video looking into this song. i think my theory might be right
@@float_3172 I think more that the song is the prophecy of Joyboy’s return
@@zach415 I think it’s partly that but also a massive clue on how to get to laugh tale. There’s a whole verse about a flying ship in the clouds (skypia) and the sky poneglyphs are one of the four needed to find laugh tale.
@@supreme_king_obama1158 I don't remember there being a Road Poneglyph on Skypiea. That one just talked about the ancient weapon Poseidon.
@@TerraHv1 I thought the ancient weapon poneglyph was in alabasta. Could’ve sworn one of the road poneglyphs was there. Especially since Roger wrote “we’ve followed your instructions to the ends of the earth” or something like that. It feels weird for him not to write that on one of the instructions.
Matt, though you never got to see the end of the Grand Line, smile knowing The Will of D. lives on, and the voyage never ends!
hope the best for you fella. he surely speaks for you like luffy spoke to others for his crew.
They’re resting easy with ace and whitebeard now
Awh well you made me cry
Yohohoho Yo-ho-ho-ho...
Till sunny days return
In the episode, I was on the verge of tears, then at the end when they sound the "Laboon! Once we traveled the world, we're coming right back here. You just wait for us!", I did cry
whenever I hear them say "The crew that brings a smile to every child, lets hear it for the rumbar pirates". it makes me tear up every time.
Truly the most wholesome of pirates
I’m crying nowwwwww
😢😢😢laboon
Is it normal to want to cry whenever I hear this song? Can’t explain how happy and sad this song makes me simultaneously.
Ya. I cried while watching that episode myself and I feel like crying whenever I hear this song ❤
Very normal
Normal
even as I was listening to it for the first time I was tearing up, there's just something about it that's so touching
Bink's brew can be played as a both a ballad and a joyful tune.
Doc: you have 2 minutes left to live, what do you want to do?
Me: listening to One Piece Bink's Sake.
Doc: but the video lasts 4:39
God: I can wait, son.
what a original joke

@@EnemyStandUser_ I've never heard someone use it to this song before. Stfu negative slut
The song me and my cousins memorized in a day for my cousins funeral and we sang with joy and tears
If u didn't cry during that part in the anime ur not normal
That's all my eyes did if I had any
Actually.......
I didnt cry.......
I was quite happy.
I knew im not normal thanks for telling me. No joke i legit didnt cry ever in any anime or series.
I did 😓
I'm a person that normally doesn't cry much, when it comes to fictional stuff it really has to be the saddest thing ever, this is so far one of the onlys shows to make me cry.
Rip Rumbar Pirates, that scene gets me every time.
Sinful they where good men
