The disorder part comes in when the stress of past events continually or chronically interferes with your life. Being stressed and anxious after being in a life threatening situation isnt a disorder, it means your limbic system is functioning normally.

This is one of my favorite scenes because in Sci-fi you never see what happens after the celebration of the heroes victory in a high stakes battle. We never see the suffering that comes once the adrenaline has worn off. Sure sci-fi touches on character’s trauma. But it’s almost always about what has happened to characters in the past and only when it’s relevant to the plot we never see what the weight of what they’re going through in the present has done to them. So it’s nice to see Rick and Morty touch on that in this episode. They really went where no man has gone before.
Babylon 5 does this, though... and in more ways then one. You even get to see what happens to the space station after it lost its purpose decades later...
It is kinda rare, but there are some works with it. The often scolded Hunger Games has with its protagonist Katniss a character, that does exactly what you describes
It doesn't happen very often in games either but 1 I did play recently does have an ending like this then has a mission after. The game is saints row 3
This is a perfect representation of PTSD. When you are going through the trauma. You are focused on surviving. Just getting thru the terrible ordeal. Then later, after it’s over…it hits you. Hard. How many folks have gotten into their car, or spaceship, put on your seat belt, and then just lost it? . Btw the car is a perfect spot for freak out sessions. Have you noticed how many people online are doing little talk shows from the front seat of their cars? The acoustics are good. No one can hear you. They should make a car with a vlogging station built into the dash. . But it’s because people feel comfortable venting their frustrations there, that it’s becoming an online norm.
The best thing about this scene was the sentence from rick before they went into the portal. "We will be back in 20 minutes" 6 days later . . . I love this scene xD

GoT ended well, story-wise. Pacing was god awful, the dialogue was right there with it. But the choices made with the characters and their fates are fine by me. I like how it ended overall. And we finally got Cleganebowl, so it wasn't all a wash. Also, people bitching about Arya escaping death during the burning of King's Landing have totally forgotten that she has dodged death literally since Illyn Payne chopped Ned's head off. Legit since S1 ep10 she has been evading certain death. She was at fucking Harrenhall, damn near ended up at the Red Wedding, almost got killed by the Waif, I could go on... Shut up about S8. It was a feature-film season, and if you folks couldn't tell it was headed that way after S7, you were watching the wrong show.
The reason why this is so great is because it leaves so much up to the viewer. Pretty much nothing the Writers could have shown us could explain this scene as well as our imagination.

When I first witnessed this scene, I was in shock because Rick, one of the guys I thought who could almost never be affected by anything and everything, suddenly broke down and on top of that admitted he didn't have control over something for once
I think its amazingly funny that, when Rick reveals that he wasn't in control of the situation, morty just gets in even more panic. He thought that Rick was aware of everything and was just a stresfull adventure, but when he realizes tha he almost fucking died, he loses it.
A valuable lesson to everyone. Ya might be a total badass in most situations, but there are gonna be times where you have to be a bit luckier then usual and survive death's hold multiple times.

Fully Agree, When I first saw this episode I absolutely could not stop laughing for like 30 minutes because Rick is always so in control and the way they react is so absolutely perfect for the scene. Just realized that this scene is a reference to the battle of Naboo from SW episode 1. First shot is an explosion of a droid control ship. The celebration scene is then a combination of the battle of Yavin 4 celebration and Naboo’s celebration. Then before the breakdown scene, the hanger shows a familiar layout to Naboo’s Royal hanger. I know some people already know about this but I just realized it.
This is a very realistic portrayal when you go through a life and death situation. Happened to me, once the adrenaline goes down, you go nuts about how close it was.
I think he said it was to make him look cool, but other than that I don't think he mentioned a particular use for it. Not 100% sure on it though since it's been a while since I last saw that episode.
I could totally see Rick and Morty getting a big screen movie and they’d realize that that particular adventure is more insane and terrifying than a usual (tv) adventure. Then after the adventure we see them just breakdown in the car exactly like this and then go home for the epilogue of the movie

Fully Agree, When I first saw this episode I absolutely could not stop laughing for like 30 minutes because Rick is always so in control and the way they react is so absolutely perfect for the scene. They did such a good job portraying the chaos they just went through (even though we didn't see all of it, left up to the imagination) :D Such an perfect scene.
I don't know why but this scenes,Morty crying really soft and nice,at the same time, he conveys the feeling very emotionally, the actor clearly did a good job
Season 3 episode 6 for those wondering
Just realized that this scene is a reference to the battle of Naboo from SW episode 1.
First shot is an explosion of a droid control ship. The celebration scene is then a combination of the battle of Yavin 4 celebration and Naboo’s celebration. Then before the breakdown scene, the hanger shows a familiar layout to Naboo’s Royal hanger.
I know some people already know about this but I just realized it.

This is a very realistic portrayal when you go through a life and death situation. Happened to me, once the adrenaline goes down, you go nuts about how close it was.
Yku know, one thing I appreciate about this scene is how the music abruptly stops while their walking back and having their Breakdown.
