They should just make it a crime to fish. There isn't any fish to be caught u less you have a boat in my area. It cost about300dollars for me and my son to go rock cod fishing in Monterey bay.plus another 100 for parking and other little things the limit is 15 fish each. You cannot throw anything back. These new laws are bad.also certain fish have high levels of mercury. Like the striped bass. Yeah I'm a hater because you can't fish anymore. I can go on and on.im 56 now fished all my life steel head trout there gone now. Pollution over fishing laws.there isn't any more fish in central ca coast in my area. Not all water is the same I will only eat salt ware fish. Freshwater fish in my area taste like mud. That's my opinion. Yeah it's a serious crime if you do not know the laws and limits in Calif. I've had all my gear confiscated twice once for two poles

In gilroy ca .we have seasons and the limit was 2 there is no fish to be caught in my neck of the woods anymore. If you go to the ocean you better know there is limits and seasons. Pole limits etc.3 hooks max any where and one pole
