I'm borrowing my buddies N9 this week and I have been very impressed with the pedaling efficiency. It makes me consider getting one myself.

I was supper surprised how good it pedals. I think doing a tubeless conversion and adding some lighter wheels could make this an amazing bike.

42lbs lol. When I was a thats how much my front wheel weighed. 42lbs is light.

That bike is something special. No one has this suspension platform right now except polygon. I am an engineer and this bike makes sense to me. As far as code or sram brakes, you have to bleed the shit out of them and then they will work good. Those code R brakes need steel pads and a ton of bleeding to work right. We only use Magura brakes in our house but I have used them all. Get the sram bleed kit and bleed and then do a lever purge. Bike shops suck at bleeding brakes most of the time. I do it myself. I want to get that frame and do my own build on it.❤

Bro, I didn’t know you were engineer that’s awesome! Thanks for the tips on getting the SRAM brakes working right. I’ve always wanted to try Magura’s brakes. I need to get down to Tahoe and ride with you sometime 🤘

Which Magura breaks do you recommend for an ebike mostly on trails with the occasional bike park?

I've heard a lot of people have problems with these brakes but I've never had an issue with them on my Spire. Super interesting bike Jared, enjoyed the review.

Thank you brotha! I know if I bleed these brakes good they’ll perform well, so I’ll have to do that.

So far, the Code RSC's have been nothing but awesome. I have a set of the Hope Tech4 E4's on another bike and absolutely love them as well. The shimanos on the other bike I hate. I just can't justify swapping them just yet. Keep up the awesome vids man!

Thank you for the awesome comment 👍 always good to hear what people like. I’ve had Code RSCs in the past and liked those. I’m really liking the TRPs that cam on my latest bike.

This bike is a blast to ride. I still can’t get over how good it climbs for being a heavy long travel enduro bike.

42lbs!? Holy crap!! I think there are some e-bikes lighter than this lol. Man, by the time we factor in the camelbak (or hip bag), helment, pads, action cam, I'd be done by the time I get up the first climb.

    • @JaredHoff
      @JaredHoff  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

It rides so good though. A lot of the weight is in the wheels. I did a carbon versus alloy wheel test and this bike is amazing with lighter wheels on it.

Wondering how this would compare to your Gen 6 Fuel EX climbing wise?
Sram code R brakes definitly aren't my fav. I personaly perfer sram as a whole, but would definitly spend just a little more to get the rsc brakes.

Thank you for taking time to leave a comment. I plan on doing a video in the future about does way matter but I wasn’t sure if I should use the polygon versus the trek him since they’re such different bikes or maybe just use the EX bike and Stratmore way to it.

I had the previous N9 and upgraded this season to an Intense Tracer and while I love my new bike, I miss the Colossus I had for some reasons in ride quality and stability and that was the older suspension linkage too! Not gonna lie, I was considering getting another Colossus with this new setup or maybe getting the E-bike N9 with this linkage.

I've got similar bike , radon swoop alloy with slightly better specs.

Sounds like you got an awesome set up. I would love to throw carbon bars on this bike and carbon wheels as well. I’ve never tried Magura’s brakes, but definitely want you right now I’m really liking the TRP brakes that I have on my trail bike maybe I’ll try Magura’s sometime.

@@JaredHoff yea the combo of e thirteen Race bars and thier stem is sick . The bike originally came with race face affect .I've got duroc sunringle alloy wheels .
Would love carbon wheels but they are way too expensive 😬😬
Magura breaks are next level 👌
Here on Europe most ppl run them.
BTW I was watching your video about clipless pedals and I saw your crash.
I was wondering why 1 crash put you off the clipless pedals as I am thinking to switch to them .
