I'm fortunate I caught it, actually. I almost didn't look. I had thought it was circulation wear and was going to throw it in a roll to send back to the bank. But something told me to take a closer look!
mention on other video the Charlton book you show is the one i need not sure how much this one cost but the one i have is from 2016 and is vol-1 by c.w. cross but it did not have the spiral binding that you have, i wotre lighthouse back cause they sell those Charlton books
You can get the latest Charlton Guides at either the Lighthouse Canada website or the Charlton Press website. The links and discount codes are in the description of this video. Good luck!
@@w49 I'm going to assume it's exceptionally hard. There were 385M regular toonies minted that year and only 10M with the German planchet. I understand that once they're circulated, you likely can't tell the difference. I'd expect that there are relatively few left that could be positively identified, the rest being circulated. I imagine that if you have one and you think it 'might be' the German planchet, it's probably not. I suspect that you'd know for sure when you actually found one!
Some beautiful specimens there! Always nice to see shiny examples of older circulation coins. ✨
I agree! They usually don't look this nice! I'm glad he didn't just throw them in the till!
I wish I could find a place that would sell me coins and currency so cheap. You are very lucky.
I have been fortunate, that's for sure!
Great Hunt again. Love the quarters and Loonies. My favorite bird.
Thanks - I wasn't actually sure I'd find anything interesting in there. Just goes to show you that you never know what you might find!
Enjoyed the variety of great condition coins. Liked all of them. Loved the 2005 Commemorative 5 Cents coin.
Awesome thank you! Have a great day!
Beautiful coins!
Thank you kindly!
Nice video. Cool coins.
Thanks for watching!
Those loonies look really nice when shiny.
We are going to need a bigger, safe James! Don't worry, I am here for you!😂
Lol! I'll let you know when I run out of space!!
I have a coin with similar strikethrough, though mine is more extensive :) Great pickup, especially for face value!

@@CADRollHunter That reminds me, would you have an opportunity to do another trade? I've got some additions since the last time :)
I was able to get some!
Nice!

You got some real beauties. Awesome pickups. I dont think you got the german planchets.
Thanks! I think you're right - I expect in a BU condition they might be easier to spot.
@@CADRollHunterHow hard is it to find a german planchets toonie? I found one UNC in circulation

Close, but no cigar.
Thanks for weighing in - I think you're right!
Have you ever found newfoundland coins in your hunts?
I recently found 2 NewFoundland quarters (1917 & 1919) in the coinstar machine here in Maryland!
I haven't found any so far - but you never know!
Wow! That's awesome!!
I always cringe 😬 when I see a stapled 2x2.
You've got to love those little cardboard flips!!
First!
