I enjoyed my morning coffee while watching you make coffee. I've tried a lot of different coffee methods, especially tailored for float trips. The easiest being the instant coffee packets, but that loses the whole process. Thanks, and enjoy.
There's nothing like a good pour-over! Sweet design on these coffee pods... for camping just gotta be really patient with the drip. I do pour-overs every day on my glass Hario setup, with the unbleached filters. I always pour hot water over the filter before brewing, just to remove some of the paper taste too (then pour it out). For us, the ratio of 35 grams to 650 grams of water makes the coffee come out just the right strength (for 2 mugs). Plenty of caffeination for just 1 coffee, and the rich taste is better than anything you can get at most restaurants or coffee spots. We get mostly dark roast beans at Costco on the cheap, and grind them on demand in a black and decker burr grinder. We are going campground camping soon, and honestly I'm tempted to just bring our entire kitchen pour-over setup, minus the goose-neck kettle. I can just boil the water in a regular sauce pan on our vintage Coleman stove.
I have that same Stanley set. I use it with my twig stove on the AT. I like that little stove though!
Love seeing gear in use, nice! I've always wondered why Turkish coffee hasn't been big in the camp/gear communities. No filters or brewing apparatus (beyond a metal cup) needed. The finely grounded coffee just sinks to the bottom and the coffee is fantastic! Worth a shot.
Even more space efficient: Folgers baby
It’s nice to have the gear but you’ve got to test it😀
There are much better solutions out there (aeropress or instant) but at least the pod looks like it's mostly paper.
I find pods make crappy coffee with plastic waste every single cup.
This a cool idea but looking at the use of it it becomes a hard No. I have a filter spoon that you fill with coffee and you stir it into hot water and it makes a nice cup of coffee and then you pull the spoon out and discard the grounds
YEP My wife is always starting a fire in the backyard on the weekends...
Good morning from Kansas City Missouri ☕️
I made a load of my own cotton fire "let's say buds" by dipping cotton balls in wax, cut one in half and light it, and it stays lit for a long time, I would say a whole one would boil a cup of water.
I often find that a tiny bit of sweetener of some kind.( And I'm talking 1/3 a teaspoon per 10oz kind of thing. ) Makes more of the flavors pop and become more distinctive.
I just got a zippo slim in Sterling silver
You can still get those small solo stoves
😊😊 Good job!

Hey cutlerylover! Thank you for your videos! I was watching some of your videos and your automatic knife video came up. Since you are in PA, where do you shop for autos? I have found Sportsman's Warehouse to be a great place. However, I cannot ship autos from BladeHQ or Knife Center to my place because of federal laws.
I've been curious about these but i usually just bring my aeropress with me to make coffee. I had one of those orange silicone pour overs but i had it colapse and burn the shit out of my hand so it went into the garbage
If it was colder outside your coffee would have been cold by the time it was done.
A mini burn barrel
Would it be worth it to try boiling an unopened pouch, and seeing how that turns out?
I would imagine it would be fine just like steeping tea
Chuck it in the fire
I call it christian crank
I don't like any of these gimmicky things that are supposed to be "better". Also, flavored coffee is gross! This looks like it's more trouble than it's worth.
this issnt flavored coffee just tasting notes for the beans
Meh, just get a French Press, they come in all sizes. I had one in my small Coleman cooler/lunch box, and the water coolers at work had a hot water tap, it was perfect.🤌🧐
