i'm seeing a lot of the same questions get asked in the comments here, and a lot of people being confused so i'm just going to explain some things that aren't mentioned in the video
14mm means how big the contact is all around, (meaning its not 14mm accross, it's a lot smaller) hence 'diameter', and it's definitely a good starting point until you decide what does and doesn't suit your eyes.
the reason they're called 'circle lenses' is just because they're a large circle that make your eyes appear bigger, softer and more cartoony. i think it also has something to do with the fact that they're a perfect, clean cut circle? as opposed to your real iris which isn't perfectly circular and the lines can be kind of blurry, but i'mnot an expert on that.
circle lenses are NOT illegal to have in the US, the only reason people mention illegality in the US is because of how many people sell shitty cheap ones at halloween stores, without a license, and without asking for anyone's perscription. THAT is a criminal offense. owning them is not.
if you're really nervous about circle lenses, don't be! it was nervewracking for me too.
i DO suggest you try and see an optomotrist, and see what perscription you need (even if you don't wear eye correcting contacts, color contacts are not a 'one size fits all' deal) so you're sure to order them in the correct size. see, I was able to not do that and get away with it, and i know many others have been too, but you can never be too careful. they're the only eyes you have.
the all purpose solution and cleaner for contacts is sold at any drug store, and in most pharmacies in grocery stores, it's very easy to come by. it's usually sold on the same racks they sell the tiny contact cases, eyepatches and ear plugs but if you can't find a bottle of it, feel free to ask. most pharmacists are happy to help.
but PLEASE, please remember some important things.
you HAVE to wash your contacts out, and you can't leave them without solution, they will dry out and you won't be able to use them anymore.
don't share your contacts! i mean, you can probably get away with sharing them, but you're not supposed to because like i said, not all contacts fit everyone and it's not worth hurting your eyesight over, trust me.
and most of all, don't worry! i know contacts seem weird and alien when it's your first time, because you don't want to go blind and you don't wanna ruin them or have wasted your money. but it's okay! everyone goes through this the first time they get circle lenses, they're a really weird thing to start out with.
they're probably gonna bug your eyes at first, and they're gonna be a pain to put in and out if you don't like to touch your eyes, but believe me, once you've done this a few times, and gone to a few cons or cafes or, whatever you're expecting to do, it becomes as simple as putting on a little blush or a little lip gloss. good luck!
Thanx 4the info!!
They usually come in a solution to look after them but when you buy them and pour them out you have to put them in new fresh solution that you have to go and buy yourself. The leaflet with the contacts recomend some good soultions to buy. some solutions also come with the lense case.
moving your contacts around on your eye ((like you did at the end)) is like my favorite thing to do w/ my circle lenses
i've gotten them before and had no problem with them. they are all safe if you wear them correctly ^__^ non-korean circle lenses usually come in packets instead of the vials.
Why are they called 'circle lenses'? Are there, like, square lenses around or something?? Sorry, clueless xD
Thank you so much! Probably the best basic video i've seen on circle lenses for beginners
You make it look so easy! I can NOT get my circle lenses in my eyes for the life of me! The struggle is real
Thank you so much for making this video!! I've never bought/ worn contacts before so this was very helpful! ☺️
that's perfectly normal! that can also happen if you don't soak the lenses long enough before wearing them. that's why i suggest to wear them a couple hours at a time before you wear them outside.
Very informative! I am thinking of purchasing my first pair of circle lenses soon to make my eyes look less beady.
You are so adorable, it was jarring to hear you swear like a sailor! :3
Lighter ones bring more vibrance as opposed to diameter so it's hard to get as much as an enlarging effect compared to the darker ones. Though, some lenses do offer both. Puffy 3-tone, I find, is a series that provides both. The color shows up on even the darkest eyes! As for 17mm and 18mm lenses, I would suggest looking at Japanese brands. Here is a site: jnkcontactlenses(.)com Most Korean lenses only go up to 16mm
It's okay for people with astigmatisms to wear them, but only if it's not very bad. There are specialty circle lenses that you can buy for astigmatisms on websites like pinkyparadise that are safe. It would also be preferable if you've worn contacts before, or you may want to go see the orthopedist to check.
You're amazing. Is it hard to get used to contacts? I wear glasses but I've never had contacts before.
OK thanks-for some reason on that site, they biggest ones seemed to only be plano;I didn't look at every one of course, but most were only in plano. But now that I know to try sites that sell Japanese brands, hopefully I'll find them.So far,I've only tried Korean brand ones.So far,I really love the GEO Aster 15mm ones in brown, but next time I want to try grey-I really like how the grey ones you have on look
Oh yay! I was wondering if anyone else wore those overnight contacts and wore circle lenses too! Thanks for the help ^-^
left and right eye can be determined by your prescription. if you don't have prescription, or your prescription is the same for both eyes, it shouldn't matter!
as for it being inside out, the side you put in your eye should be the lighter side
it depends on the diameter of your pupil! for me, i always see color when i wear geo tri-colored series
Yay Ortho-K!
Also, what's it like when your pupils dilate to a larger size than the transparent centers on the circle lenses? Is it enough to significantly impact your vision or can it be easily ignored?
if you want! just make sure the circle lenses are plano, which means no prescription
When I first wore circle lenses I was so afraid that I could damage my vision...But when I got used to it, I wore my contacts faster :) :) This video really helped...
wow your video actually helped me with putting them in it was way easier than the way that person that thought me to do....thank you!!! i now have purple contacts in
omg i totally had the same problem with opening the vial! Also i had a major issue with the whole which one goes in the left eye and which one goes in the right eye thing. and i couldnt tell if it was inside out so my eyes watered like crazy and i never wore them.
But i wanna try again
Hahaha you're too cute! Thanks for sharing this! I've wanted to get myself a pair of circle lenses for a while, but haven't had much luck finding them in stores around my area. I started reading about them online and i'm so glad I found this video! Do you have any preferred sites you order yours from? I really don't know which sites are legit or not at the moment, definitely gotta do some more research lol. Any help would be mucho appreciated :)
i've never purchased form yesstyle, so i'm not sure. i have a whole list of sites and discount codes in the vid description though!
many circle lenses sites are asia. all brands are safe as long as you wear them correctly! geo is the most basic and you can't go wrong with them ^^
Thank you girl. I'm about to buy some to wear as a cashier at target and of course if you had not warned me i would have worn them to work XD Thank you for telling me the proper name for them i was typing in Cosmetic contact lens and seeing how most of them were coming from china mainland i was like which one's can i trust? I will trust the Geo brand you talk about and thank you again.
definitely! especially if you are a first-time wearer.
I've not tried any types of contacts or circle lenses yet but I DO recommend using pliers to open viles, easy way to not cut yourself.
yay this helped so much!!! im getting some and this video helped so much im really exsided to get my lenses the color of my lenses are red
Hello, i have a few questions that would like to be answered. Do you have to change your lens case every few months? Do you also have to change solutions every few months? And how often do you have to clean/fill lens case with new solution if your lenses if they're just sitting there unused? Thank you :D
I have a question, My dad dont think its healty for your eyes to have circle lenses everyday and Only let me wear them like 4 Times a week. so the question is if you think/know that its unhealthy to have circlelenses everyday or if its just fine?
Thank you so much! This helped so much
Thank you! I've actually bought ordinary coloured contacts, and I can put those in no problem, so I'll probably be fine with circle contacts! :)
Thank you soo much i just got my circle lenses from pinky paradise and they are soo awesome and your help was the best ^~^
it's very unlikely to get defective ones! the darkness of your iris does not matter when it comes to enlargement, the design and diameter of the lenses are what matters
can u pleaseeee~ get "KIMCHI BAMBI GREY" lens ? cuz its really pretty and also its pretty cheap. If you get them, can u plz upload a video of it? :)
Aparently only certain sellers are illegal in US guys (i've heard pinky paradise), don't panic! Lol Circle lenses aren't just illegal all across the the country xD However I bought one of my pairs from Pinky Paradise, and there were no FBI agents bashing down my door when the package came xD So I'm not sure what the whole issue is, but I had no problem, u shouldn't either as far as I'm concerned ^^
after you've soaked them and wore them on again, do you throw the solution out and put new solution in the cases? or do you re-use the solution for a certain period of time? sorry for asking a stupid question ~
Do you find that color makes any kind of difference with the enlargening effect?I know obviously size would, but it sees like in pics, the darker ones look bigger than lighter ones of the same size. How is it in person?I have brown eyes too,& so far have only tried brown & black colors.I'd like to try other colors but am afraid they won't be as dramatic as the darker colors. Also, where do you get 17 & 18mm ones?I've asked & some say that's the 'flattened' diameter & it's the same as 15mm, curved
Hi! I'm thinking about buying my first circle lenses for a cosplay in July, but I'm also worried at the same time. I'm a little squeamish when it comes to eyes, and I'm terrified of buying them, then not being able to put them in (or hurting my eyes - thus throwing my money down the drain!!), and/or that I'll buy defective ones that will damage my eyes. Also, the colour that I'd like are a light blue colour - would they make my eyes look any bigger because they're not as dark as yours? :)
My eyes are already 14.8 mm. I ordered 22.8mm ones and they're perf
My friend told me that when you have colored lenses, the first day you have it on you will se the colour of the lenses, like if you have blue color lenses you will se blue. Is it true?
I need help on buying the rit contact. I have bought several contact with different color bt with the same diameter 14mm. Every time I wear the contacts the color are blocking my eye and it's blurry. I feel like the diameter is very small for my eye so I was wonder if I buy contact with bigger diameter do I still have the same problem.
Do you think it's necessary to get a fitting from an eye doctor or does one size fit all ?
Are you allowed to wear circle lenses if you're in middle/high school? Because it sorta freaked my teachers out when I wore dark brown 14mm ones...
no shops in UK do :( btw love your profile! pinkyparadise is the safest website to use I think after doing research, a youtuber done a review on them :3
since this is the first time of me using contact lenses in cosplay and what so ever what do i do do i just get an appointment and then choose the contacts or choose them and take them with me to the eye doctor
is it more difficult to put circle lenses than regular contact lenses?
please i would really love to know the name and brand of the solution you used to keep your circle lenses in.
Are they safe to wear for an eight hour period? like whats the longest you've wore them? I alredy wear contact lenses, well perscription ones and they honestly dont bother me. I was just wonderiong if it would be too unconfortable to wear for such a long time you know?
my eyes are naturally green, my hair color is light brown and i got a fair skin color so what im asking is; do you think i should buy grey circle lenses bc i have neverr worn/bought one before i never even actually worn a lens before so idk, or should i buy green lol. pls help me xx
Oh my gosh, you wear Ortho K! I have them too.
I purchased 14.8 mm lenses (Geo brand) and I have worn contact lenses before but is 14.8 mm a good size to wear if I never wore "circle lenses" before? Or will it be a pain?
When you get them for the first time and you're soaking them in the solution, do you leave the cap on or off??
GEO princess mimi grey :) review is in the video description!
just received my order from Solution-Lens, really the best shop that I found and cheapest
I started with 14.2 is that alright? Should I gradually go up or can i just like choose 15 the next time? I'm new, don't really know the sizes. And lol I feel stupid, I didn't even know you needed to buy lens solution lol! Where can I buy them? (i dont live in us, canada or uk, so not the brand name but like the kind of stores)
always online!
yep!
i'm not sure. that happens to me sometimes when i wear certain designs too
i wore 14.5mm lenses daily senior year of high school and 14.0mm lenses various number of times in sophomore and junior year and no one said anything bad about it lol they'll get used to it like you did, as long as you wear natural looking ones.
Sorry if this is long but i was wondering if i could wear regular contacts even though i have astigmatism, would it just be a bit blurry? Also i think im going to get geo super nudy grey as my first pair which are 14.8mm i was wondering if that was too big, but my regular contacts are already 14.5mm so would it be okay? :)
I'm getting circle lens and I'm a bit worried about how long a wear it. Is it okay to keep it on for 6hours????
you should dispose of them after a year. if you wear them daily, around 8-10 months
cant you do some kind of formula to convert toric to regular circle lense prescriptions?
I am thinking of getting circle lenses for the first time and have a question. I do no plan on wearing them everyday, but should I still clean them and change the solution everyday? Or should I only do that once a week or whenever I wear them?
Well I don't ,I only change the solution before I wear them, not sure if that's really what you are suppose to do.but you would be wasting so much solutions if you change them everyday.
hui jun zhao I ordered mine three weeks ago and their still not here......i ordered mine from Asia....how long should i give it?
^w^ well thank you. I wasn't planning on sleeping in them, I wear prescription contacts and I fell asleep in them once... it was a pain in the butt when I woke up. But thank you for the 8 hours :)
I have astigmatism,So would i need to get the kind for that or would the normal ones be just as good.
thanks for watching!
i got circle lens not to long ago and i let them soak in solution for a day and made sure my hands where clean and put them in my eyes and my eyes got really really red and irradiated and took them out immediately, how can i fix this ?
Hiii. I wear correction lenses right now which is 14.1mm in diameter (normal clear from opticians)
Im getting a 14.8mm circle lense soon (my first ever pair) would that be a really big change because I hear people say that I should go by steps in size when I get circle lenses :/
So basically , i was born with circle lenses-eyes(my pupil is that big naturally) , so whenever i wear circle lenses my eyes look the same and it kinda sucks , is there any bigger sizes
yes! personal preference though
@Pearly Teng.hi ! I personally wear contact lenses and I can assure you that they will not hurt it may look intimidating but it doesn't hurt maybe when u put it in it may hurt a bit but after 5 minute it will be okay and unless u put it in the wrong way it will not hurt at all. Do check out contact lenses for yourself if your interested
Wait so could I buy 14.8mm lenses when my normal contacts are 14.5mm? And I can't get topic lenses cause they only come in 14mm and my eyes are 14.5mm :(. So I was thinking getting Plano and wearing glasses
Do I have to go to the optometrist to check the size of lenses I need?
How old can you start wearing circle lenses and does it come with the solution
any contact lenses solution is good
This was a great video very informative :) Thanks!!
Is this Geo brand is also available for near sighted eyes?
So if I want bigger eyes, kind of like the dolly anime look, what size should I get? I've been searching long and hard for a video that let's me see the sizes on people but I've had no luck.
dont jump straight to 16mm go to 14.5 if ur starting test how it feels then try 16mm . u want dolly anime like lenses so make sure it has a thicker black rim in the outerside of the leses does make ur eyes look more anime/dolly like .
+Hiro LeHyun ah I see. Thank you very much for the advice! I appreciate it c:
+Hiro LeHyun oh and do you know if there is a special kind of circle lense for people with astigmatism??
Lol at the end xD. I love having contact lenses and all, but to just put your finger in your eye and wiggle the contact lense like you did...kudos. A funny end to a good beginning :3
i feel like it will make ur eyes watery during the taking and putting in process...and the fact that u can even slide it everywhere on ur eyes surface. does your eyes go water? its like watching nails scratching on the blackboard, it looks really uncomfortable but i really want to try them out :/
SarangKae - 사랑케이 Pretty much every single contact lenses you put in your eyes will make them water. But don't worry, it's normal and it only lasts for a second, unless you put it in backwards...Then it's like dirt's in your eyes, but as long as you put it in right it should be fine. Also, yes they slide around in your eye. But, this is normally only when you first put them in your eyes, once they slide into position they shouldn't really move around to much. You will notice them there when you first start wearing them but eventually you'll forget about them! I was wearing my regular prescription lenses for the second day and fell asleep in them, I woke up with red eyes and irritated eyes, but I was fine. But DO NOT SLEEP IN THEM, unless they're meant to be slept in, otherwise it can cause serious eye damage. I hope this helped :)
Hi! Could you tell me more about the taiwanese circle lenses that come in the packet? are they safe?
Im am a beginner and I just cir
bought circle lenses last sunday o.o and just wore a while ago
The diameter is 17.2 and its realy huge and kinda dolly eyes
Is it ok for beginner like me?
I was wondering if you want to store them after them being used how do you do it? Is it safe to just keep them in the case with the disinfection or do you need to change it? And if you do need to how often? :)
You can find lots of other videos on it. But do ensure that you do not keep your lens for extended period of time than you are suppose to. You can store your lens in contact lens cases with solution after washing. You should use your lens cases only up to three month and you need to change it. Same applies to you solution.
An* Months* yours*
Sorry for the typos
is it not sick for the first time wearing the contact lens ?
I am beginner and I order one from honey color neo dali 14.2diameter do you think it will be alright?
I wear regular contact. Would it be the same ?
Does it matter what size you buy? Like 14mm vs 15mm?
When you put in and you take out will you touch your eye ball like will it be very painful
can someone please explain it when i want to buy circle lenses (no prescription) and the site says -0.00 to -10.00? do i leave it at zero?
+TATEY K Get the -0.00 ones :)
+hanate satake that is for your eyesight. If you know your prescription then put in your numbers. I have nearsightedness so I put in -1.75. If your eyes are fine without glasses then put 0.00. Hope it helps.
I have a question. I want to by geo lenses on yesstyle.com.
If i want two circle lenses..do i have to buy 2 itsms of them? I know it sound s confusing but if i buy just one item of geo.. will i only have one bottle and so just one circle lenses?
This was REALLY helpful!
I have a problem with one of my lenses feeling like there is something on them. This has happened from 2 different companies. I was wondering if this is common. One lens always fits nicely no pain, other looks clean, no visible tears or marks. Once its on my eye there will be a spot that ,for lack of a better term, grinds on my eye. Just wondering if you have ever had this problem. Thanks :)
Maybe you've put that lense insideout? :)
hastflickan10
There ended up being a defect that cut my eye a little :( But the company was really nice about it and is sending me a new lens.
That's good ^^
DancingPanda159 There might have been a little dust on the contact, sometimes that happens.. and it can really really hurt, but if you rinse the contact before with your solution, it should be ok :3
I live in the U.S. And I wear glasses can I wear circle lenses?
I just bought a circle lenses, it's 14.5 diameter, After many tries 1 got into my left eye then the vision become so unclear. So i got scared and take it out really quick and my eyes became red. I can't even put them in well......
I'm jealous of your eyes.They're sooooo beautiful! ; - )
I just got circle contact lenses a few day ago, I wore them to school today(for hole day-so on average I wore them for 9 hours) and I took them out to find that my eyes were itchy, sore and it felt like I had something in my eye, so I was blinking every few seconds for half hour or so. I don't know if I could have an infection or my eyes r irritated, I'm not quite sure I could really use some help plz and thank you:)
You really shouldn't wear them more than 8 hours, but in my opinion even that's cutting it close. I recently read about a girl who wore them while cosplaying for nearly 8 hours and the lenses deprived her eyes of oxygen so the cornea fused to the lens and when she took it out it really damaged her eye. I'm not saying this to scare you, but if you wear them for too long it can do damage to your eyes. Obviously your vision is fine right now, but just don't wear contacts for awhile to let your eyes rest and definitely don't wear them over 8 hours.
Is the solution in the bottle they come in the cleaning solution? The one you need before you out them in?
No, you have to buy a different solution. The stuff in the bottle they come in can burn your eyes.
