Essa música e Highway star estão entre as 5 pauleiras mais bonitas do rock. Blackmore ao vivo é insuperável, ouçam Catch the Rainbow no disco On Stage de 1976. Que show. .
When I first requested this a long time ago I said Ritchie Blackmore was playing on a different level on the solo, now you know why. Btw, the first part of the solo section is a keyboard 😎
This song is the continuation of the song Stargazer. When the Wizard died, they were free to go home. This is the follow up as the slave is trying to understand he has his freedom to leave the tower he was enslaved to build.
Stargazer and Light in the Black took up one side of the Rising album. Bloody brilliant. Saw them in concert at the Adelaide Festival Theatre in 1976. Best concert ever!
the greatest rock metal vocalist ever in history period no contest plus Ritchie blackmore , was lucky enough to meet both Ronnie n Lemmy n more 13+ times over 30 years+ Ronnie was the sweetest dude He loved his fans combine him with Geezer Cozy Iommi and you got the metal gods nobody could command a stage or tell a story like Ronnie he sounded just as badass 1st number as he did 3 hrs later live, even in his 60s with stomac cancer Ronnie James Dio was known for popularizing the sign of the horns in heavy metal. He claimed his Italian (siccilian ) grandmother used it to ward off the evil eye (which is known in Italy as malocchio). Dio began using the sign soon after joining the metal band Black Sabbath in 1979. still got my original albums signed .... Never Forgotten you little man with the voice of a roaring god Ronnie James Dio “He loved his fans, he never forgot where he came from, and he always wanted them. He said to [Halestorm frontwoman] Lzzy Hale as well, and she’s continuing on doing that. So he said, ‘When you meet someone you won’t remember that 10 years down the line, it was nothing, but to them it was everything, and they will never forget it for the rest of their life. So make it important when you speak to them.'” he was wrong becourse several times over the years he asked me how it was goin with this n that so some he remembered ... In November 2009, Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died of the disease six months later. Dio is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential heavy metal vocalists of all time. not fair to lose Dio n lemmy n more but keep Bieber n Co🤘🤘🤘
Gates of Babylon this solo from mr Ritchie Blackmore is epic and the song.its a crime as i think you are a rainbow fan you sould react from live in Munich or from stage if you see this band live is something else, Ritchie Blackmore is one of the best guitarist ever thats fact's.way ahead of his time.is the godfather of heavy metal tge the first shredder of rock the first neoclassic guitarist and make a new style to play guitar and this was at 70s
The dual guitar solo is actually guitar and keyboard solo. As u say stunning musical chemistry. If u like that you should definetely do deep purple wring that neck. The best keyboard and guitar dual ever recorded Imo
One guitar by Blackmore, the greatest rock guitarist ever and a keyboard. Hope you will follow some of my suggestions. Anyway Deep Purple N.1 Rainbow N.2 but people generally love both... it's not like Purple vs Zeppelin.
The rhythm section really powers this and gives Blackmore a solid base to put that epic solo on top. Classic Dio power here as well. I know I've mentioned this in my comments in other videos, but I do hope you consider doing my request for "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight " by Atlanta Rhythm Section. ARS may be somewhat different from what you're accustomed to doing here, but it's a band with a great catalogue of songs that seems to be forgotten about. I also hope some folks who read this comment agree with me as well.
After this song released the style called Heavy metall was born. Every thing you can hear in this song you can easily find then on any heavy metall band's songs, like Iron maiden, Manowar and so on.
You need to check out some live versions, what's stopping you? Try Rainbow live in Munich, any song. Kill the king for example, you've already listened to the studio version. Would make for a nice comparison.
They not underrated. It depends on a country. Rainbow and DP are great and very popular bands back in the days and still for today, in Russia, South America, Japan, Germany, Australia, all post Soviet countries love them. People in USA only know less about them, and when they hear them first time they beginning to write like: So underrated bands, and Blackmore so underrated🤭. The rest world doesn't think they are underrated.
Wally, this is what I was talking about in other video about american raitings and charts. What a shame to put Blackmore to 50th place in best guitarist list.🤭. So, it means americans ignored somehow DP and Blackmore. But today every american who first time hear Rainbow or DP starts to say why I didn't hear these band before. I noticed it long ago, when I first had a talk with the guy from Nevada I guess he was, he said I am hard rock head, I love hard rock music, I asked him me too, i love DP, he replied oh yes i know smoke on the water riff... and that's all he knows...
The most Viscous guitar solo ever recorded in my opinion. Wow!!! Dio, Powel, and Blackmore WOW!!!

Énorme Blackmore 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
The drumming on this song is absolutely amazing.
Cozy Powell 😎🙏
it's nice to see people who are addicted to real music, well, how can you not love Ronnie's vocals, and admire Richard's guitar
This album is equivalent to the moon landing. A mile stone. The whole band explodes on this record. shit i love it

When I first requested this a long time ago I said Ritchie Blackmore was playing on a different level on the solo, now you know why. Btw, the first part of the solo section is a keyboard 😎
Dio, Blackmore and Powell..quite the power trio
Tony Carey on keyboards too.

Stargazier part two.
For me this is the ultimate hard Rock Song ever.
Over Stargazer? I can’t choose one above the other one.

This is the best of the best line up ever rainbow era outstanding bless you guys
Ritchie Blackmore isn't in the top 50 guitar players of all time, he's in the top 1 tricky dicky the banjo player is the greatest ever.
One guitar and keyboards, Tony Carey.
Finally Wally!!!!! Thank you so much!!! I knew you would love this one, the solo section is incredible. It’s a Light in the Black btw.
Tony Carey on keyboards, the musicians on this album are superb
Choose just one is unfair, the whole album is a masterpiece.

two guitars = keyboards and Blackmore
Nice reaction!
Excelente reacción , saludos desde México, hermano

@ yeah, but the style of let say Iron Maiden is very close to what Rainbow does that time, not Black Sabbath. Speedy metal
Great reaction again Wally , Thank You

Actually “a light in the black”!
YES,black!
Yeah you are a bigger Rainbow fan (with DP a close second). They are so underrated as a band. So good.

Blackmore don't play with another guitarist he played both in recording
Parfait parfait

I love how you gradually turn into Cesar Romero's Joker as the music plays 😁
Great video!!
Respect from Russia
This song is nearly 50yrs olds, grewup with rainbow over deep purple anyday.
Its just Blackmore, Blackmore doesnt play with other guitar players, JLT once on stage
Brian May says, Hendrix, Blackmore and Page are top, he should know better than a journalist.
But he forget Tony Iommi the father of Metal.
for me, the equation is simple... no Blackmore = no Rainbow. no Lord and no Blackmore = no Deep Purple.
Dio didn't like this song. I think it's the best song on the album.
did not know that, this song is awesome, just as powerful as Stargazer
リッチー・ブラックモアは、アメリカではそんなに評価されてないんだよなぁ。😂
