My nail girl is won't do this anymore on my nails. She said she has to use a specific top coat after the powder and she ran out of it. Is this true, or can any top coat be used?
@@BelladonnaSupreme hmmm. I’d recommend making sure all of the powder is thoroughly brushed off of the nail as well as maybe applying a second layer of topcoat!
did you cure the polish then apply the chrome powder or did you apply the polish first, wait for a few mins (air dry) then rub the chrome? also, when you’ve finished applying the chrome, you use top coat - at any stage did particles from the chrome ruin the top coat polish?
yes! you need to cure the gel polish before applying the chrome powder. particles of the chrome powder can ruin the finish when finishing with topcoat if the powder isn’t completely brushed off the nail.
Hi Kate, quick question. I tried doing this today but i feel like my mine look chrome but has the glitter/shimmer too. How do i avoid it looking glittery? I’d like it to just look chrome without the shimmer, but not sure if it’s possible. Not sure what i did wrong 😭
hi! it’s most likely the powder you’re using. some powders tend to be more glittery. also, make sure you use a gel top coat to seal in the powder and brush off any excess powder before applying to get a smooth and shiny look.
Still NOT understanding why so many are calling Hailey beiber glazed nails?! These were out b4 she wore them. I actually had started buying the powders myself b4 she wore cause seen some wearing on TH-cam. Crazy how tons call them that when we're popular b4 her

I'm struggling with the top coat flaking, not chipping. Just flaking off the chrome layer

I'm so confused how powder will stick to a cured no wipe topcoat!???
@@paigeredcliffe2589cure it for 30 seconds, the chrome will stick, if you cure it longer, chances are the chrome won’t stick.
Could I do this with dip powder? Use a sheer powder build it up n mix eyeshadow and white dip together n then seal it?
hi! that process could work, but it wouldn’t yield the same effect as the chrome powder.
