05 Grand Prixs GTP VS GXP Street Racing

This is my friend and I leaving work. He has an 05 Grand Prix GXP I was in my lightly moded 05 Grand Prix GTP. You can see in my review mirror he is about 4 to 6 car length behind me. My mods are MP

Was that GXP stock? I'm guessing you've got either a cam or 1.9 Rockers with a REALLY good tune if you're finishing at mid 13s?

stock gxp. At this point I had 1.9 rockers 90lb springs with all supporting mods. It was also dyno tuned at ZZP.

I have an 02 GTP coupe with a K&N intake but mine doesn't whine nearly as high-pitched as yours. sounds awesome!

@bigcam350 lol well check out the rest of my videos and you will see. With all season street tires I run 13.4 1/4 mile time. GXP is a fast car but the 3800 supercharged engine can be modified quit easily.

Im debating between a 06 GP GXP or 05 GTP. Which would you recommend?

@DreamsMemories Mine did stop working but its an easy fix all i had to do was fix the plastic part the spring connects to.

@dallen1993 Tha GXP sounds awesome and for a sedan pretty fast. But there is nothing like GTP for less then what you can have in a newer gxp you can make the gtp alot faster and quicker because of the superchager and the weight of the gxp being so heavy. GTP also gets better gas milage. I would do a gtp!!!! both great cars though.

@DreansMemories Go TOGXtreme not a single problem with those headers...
if wanna mod a W-body or any 3800 engine/LS4. ZZPerformance is the way you have to go...

Ya, thats what i would of thought too. But be was on the gas befor I. What i should of done to make it more noticeable how fast my car was compared to his was let him jump a head then chase him down. Then i would have blown by him to make it real noticeable. I have raced GXP at the track before and I am a full 1.7 seconds faster then them. GXP being stock. I do like you comment though, "i dont't think your friend knew he was racing..." lol

The gxp is a better car more power better handling and u can now turbocharge them they flat out smoke the gtp.

Lol. I think its cool you both have 05 GP. GXP look good cant see the GTP.
