The loss of Majima's ponytail is exactly why you don't start with Zero. You can't be upset about losing something if you didn't know you had it.
It's also contextually terrible to complain about. As with young women letting their hair grow and only cut it once they marry he too can show a significant change symbolized by the cutting of the ponytail. Gigi talked about VR horror games and basically said she’d never be able to do them. I hope she plays some other horror games though at some point, a poppy playtime play through would be awesome.
She has to be the one person more afraid than FUWAMOCO, who have actually played a number of horror games.
@@BNuts She genuinely hates/is terrified of horror games. But because of that it would be fun to watch her play a solo player horror game. Of course I wouldn’t want her to push herself to hard if it really was too much for her.
@@jonathan45732 Yeah, it's a bad idea if it would completely overwhelm her. People play horror games mostly because they like getting scared while feeling safe because they know any threats presented aren't real. But Gigi acts like she's constantly at threat, even when in a tutorial stage where jumpscares shouldn't even be possible. If she's willing to test it out, though, _Layers of Fear_ might be a good one to do it on: you're pretty much on-rails, yet it's actually possible to avoid _all_ the creature jumpscares in the whole game if you want to.

@@phillyjones3028: Mild fear can be exciting and even funny, like being able to laugh at a particularly good jumpscare right afterward. Genuine anxiety and constant panic are, imo, not fun to watch. Might be amusing at first because it seems so over the top, but if the player never gets any real enjoyment out of it, the viewers probably won't either, in the long run. Hope she was able to get into it later on.

Idk how it is irl, but the only reason why anime/game characters in Japan cut their hair, which is basically their most signature part, is heart break. Getting rejected by their crush, and as a way to move on, they cut their hair. It's a common pattern in anime/games/movies in Japan.
It's a rough day for all of us. Thanks for the fun content to keep us a bit distracted from reality for just a little while.
I just checked, and camper vans definitely exist in Japan. There are even rental outlets for them. I figured that would be a weirdly mundane thing for Persona 5 Strikers to get unrealistic about.
Connor has rented them twice for two different road trips with him, Pete, Daidus and I think Chris. The difference is that on average the camper vans in Japan are a bit shorter, harder to find the longer ones. Pretty sure they still exist though, there will always be that one guy that wants to rent a 30 - 40 foot long camper bus RV with 3 slides for extra room (basically doubling the size of the RV.

I'm the opposite of Gigi when it comes to horror. No dedicated horror game has managed to get me immersed enough to feel actual fear or dread so far. Jumpscares can still startle me, if done well, sure - but I consider those different from actually being scared.
The only games that did manage to actually scare me are ones with genuine stakes, like when you have tons of important loot/materials on you and end up in a situation where you might die and lose basically everything. Then there's an actual threat you have to fear. In horror games you only lose the play time since the last checkpoint - which is a couple minutes at most usually.
Doesn't help that my background in game design combined with ADHD makes me constantly analyze what games are doing in the background and how - which allows me to predict events pretty well, or I get so hung up on analyzing which reaction they expect from me (and how they try to invoke it) that I miss my cue...

I consider just over a year, about 13-14 months, to be the right timeframe. Sometimes, life happens and people forget about something, then are reminded of it around the time of the first anniversary. If you don't make a point of getting to it within a few weeks after that, though, you can't expect people to not mention details indefinitely.
@spk1121 these days i prefer about 1.5-2 years. Especially for games that have limited exclusivity. I dodged *so* many streams from my oshis to not spoil FFXVI before the PC version came out
