Does a Arduino nano fit? Would be cheaper and already a usb port…

I’ve not tried the nano, however I do have one and I placed it on the housing and it is much longer but does fit. The issue I see, assuming the sketch works with it, is that the usb port sits quite high and when everything is put together, ie the speaker housing, you literally only have a couple of millimetres from the speaker to the board, so there is potentially a height problem. When I designed this I knew everything was going to be a tight fit with not much room to play with.

Hey mark! This may be a stupid question but how did you apply the bondo without getting it in the thermal detonator lines that go up and down the casing? I wasn’t thinking and put bondo on the whole thing and now those grooves are filled with bondo lol

I applied it around the lines, using my finger to spread it on, however we’re it got into the grooves I folded a piece of sandpaper and run it inside the groves to get rid of any excess debris of Bondo. Start with the sandpaper at the bottom where it is the widest and push it to the top. The Bondo will come out quite easily.

Hi Mark, great job on the painting looks amazing, I'm also building one of these at the minute, do you happen to have a link for the chrome insert and red lens please I've been trying to source one for a while now with no luck, thanks and keep up the great work.

Hi, the links for the chrome bezel and red lens are in the description in the Part 2 video along with most of the other items you need. Good luck with your build.
