Thank you SF for promoting a Christian God who is infinitely good and trustworthy rather than the mean, nasty and capricious God of what usually passes for Christianity.
every video is addicting, I get so into the information that I lose track of time lol This channel is really changing my way of thinking. ..the positive is starting to overtake the negative in my mind. I hope this can help others the way it has helped me. Much love guys!
i have been waiting for this revelation my whole life iAm 73years old words cannot express my gratitude i spent years following a yoga path i am free at last
June, I am curious. Are you saying the yoga path was the one keeping you from freedom? No judgement as I havenever walked that path but just want to know. Thanks
These videos are SOO good. The accent music, the transitions, Curtis' humor which is just so quick and understated sometimes...and of course the plethora of awesome spiritual interpretation. Thanks so much for doing all you do. :D
This show makes me so happy I get sleepy. I hope that isn't taken the wrong way... The dreams I get are so joyful and peaceful. I can't wait until the next episode! :D
This is the best video ever, I love you Jonathan rose, can’t believe you were tearing talking about Jesus . Such an angel you guys are. Honestly, I hope one day I can contribute only 1 percent of what you guys do to help humanity wake up. Love you all.
Bravo Curtis, you just get better and better. God bless you and continue to be a tool to express his good. You seem to be a natural because expressing Swedenborg is not an easy thing to do, you make it look easy and for that you are to be commended.
I am so moved and blown away by this. So much was personal about this video...Jonathan Rose, Curtis' sharing, and the whole of Swedenborg's revelation regarding JC's trials. That piece about "even the heavens..." Ugggh, pierce my heart! Thank you.
Dr. J. Rose made me laugh, 21:05…the angry lamb! The idea that God loves everyone in hell and is careful not to destroy them is wonderful and beautiful to me. From my perspective, God wants everyone to be free to choose what to believe and how to live whether we choose truth and goodness or falsity and evil. Of course, God wants each person to choose goodness and truth but He wants us to freely choose. It is meaningless for me to choose goodness and truth if I am forced to do so.
What the mind cannot fathom the heart renders with faith, for when within the compound of life's toughest calls, and the easiest answer appears best, the only one to appease you, is the one which affords no rest.

Swedenborg just brings more depth to the bible. Not adding or changing. But showing how dynamic the scripture is. This brings more glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. Great insight. Curtis is great and johnathan rose!!! Would love to just sit down and talk about God,Swedenborg and life with him.
I so agree, Gabe. The information that Swedenborg learned, about the deeper meanings in the Bible, bring a whole new level of wonderful, dynamic depth, and more realizations about the incredible depths of the Lord's love. Hey, since you mention a wish to chat someday, would you ever be interested in chatting with Curtis and Jonathan during a live Community Chat show? (No pressure, we just are ongoingly keeping our eyes out for people who might enjoy that.)
Thanks Curtis, I really enjoy all of your videos and thank you for your wonderful contribution. Its very enlightening! so much connection! Keep spreading the love. Love to you also brother :)
I believe that the reason Jesus probably let hell think they were winning was because if hell knew Gods plan to restore humanity through the cross , hell would not of tried to crucify Christ or hell would of tried a different approach to Jesus. All i know is God is so amazing, and we have a wonderful and loving creater. Your videos are so helpful.
I love old school language!.... I agree these words feeds me.. my soul is very thirsty..this is not a waste of time.. now almost 2 years later !!! these truths are more important
Curtis, This show was food for my soul. You made me laugh, choke up, smile and reaffirmed my hope. That all that we go through, strengthens us even when we think we don't have any. And gives me added strength that all that I went through in my life, was for a greater purpose. That I couldn't understand until I came through it by God's grace, love and mercy. So much of what we were taught in church was so off the mark. I'm glad I'm getting the opportunity to relearn through you all at OTLE and through scripture... The right way this time around. And in regards to hereditary evils in our modern world today, it called generational programming. Which in the bible when it speaks about the sins of the father's and (mother's) fall on the children. When you spoke about Jesus and Mary His mother. Love and blessings always 😇🙏🌺
So glad this hit home. Yes, that concept of overcoming our past - and the past of those before us - it's a fascinating idea that really resonates with me. This is one of my favorite episodes, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! -Melissa
@@offTheLeftEye , Melissa: I agree with you, it is fascinating and yes it did hit home for me. The thing is we were never taught to let go of hereditary evils. A lot of people still don't understand the concept. Nor that physically we inherit from both parents diseases via DNA and spiritual DNA. From generation to generation. Last night as I prayed I asked God ( this popped in my head as I prayed ). If thou sees fit and can make a way for us to combat the things man-made,that makes us sick. That our bodies can make a new way for our immunities. To detect what is unnatural or foreign to our bodies. To make antibodies to help fight what was man made, deteriorating our health. That we may continue to stay well and healed. We as human beings have not yet learned from the mistakes of our past, from beginning to present. Heavenly Father... Forgive us for our arrogance, ego and ignorance. To think we have power and control over what you have created. Or think we have the right to say who lives or dies. Or that just a few select rich and powerful out of greed and corruption. Have the right to take our freedom, way of life and choice to believe and worship You. Heavenly Father, I ask most humbly to help us to let go. To open our spirits and hearts to You. And work your will in us. That we may not continue to make the mistakes of our ancestors and elders before us. Or continue the generational programming that is contributing to the condition of the world we face today. I know it starts with us individually and leading by example. So let it start with me. As I pray the Ho'oponopono Prayer without end. I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you... Amen. Our Hawaiian Ho'oponopono Prayer is a inward prayer. We don't put blame or make excuses. We say this prayer because we recognize that we are responsible for the conditions we see or experience. We are all responsible like we are as the bible states, each other's keepers. Ho'oponopono in Hawaiian means to make right, forgive. So for me, I went back to my roots and to all the many teachers in my life and here at OTLE. That teaches this concept of forgiveness and love. It has brought me peace, healing and understanding. And will always be a part of me and my journey. God led here to OTLE that to me it feels like home and better than any church I've been. Love and blessings 😇🙏🌺
@@pamelyncaldwell4060 I love that - an inward prayer. Accepting things as they are and asking for change. Sounds like regeneration! I hope we all can help more people see that responsibility isn't a burden - it's an opportunity, and a gift! Thank you for all the love you put into the world.
@@offTheLeftEye , I'm trying my best to, it's hard sometimes to keep love when you here and hear ugliness everywhere. But the point is to keep doing with hope that we or our children and grandchildren. Will live in a better place and to perpetuate love not hate. Love and blessings😇🙏🌺

This is an incredible episode. I never thought before about how difficult it must have been for a God of love to have to live a life on a planet where there is so much spiritual and emotional and physical pain, not just for people, but also animals. Or that he worried about not being successful. Jesus literally bore the weight of the world on his shoulders. He must have been able to see the evil spirits like ES could, and how annoying would that be to always have them testing you. This episode has made me feel closer to Jesus, because he really does know what it is like to struggle spiritually all your life like I have. I always thought it must have been easy for him because he was God, but the opposite is true because he was also human. And I love how ES interprets the Old Testament stories. I need to start watching these older episodes more again.
Well said, Pamelyn. And so true. Yes, we have some great ones! Let me know if there's any you're curious about that we may have covered - or if you can't find what you need!

This episode/show has enormously powerful insights. It brought to mind verses from Hebrews which I have wondered about: Heb 2: 10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. 11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. Heb 5: 7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. It also brings to mind that the name 'Israel' means - "He who struggles with God"
I think the time to point out evil people is when good can come out of it. To point out sinners for shaming, condemnation, gossip or to bring up past misdeeds of a person would be wrong and a sin in itself. If you point out the evil of a person for the goal of protecting others or for reflection of the evil so others can learn from it and not commit the evil that would be a good thing. God would want us to remove all evils in the world if we can do it, there are times when a person is beyond help because they willfully reject goodness, that's when it time to let them be. This doesn't mean we lie down and become their happy victims we would need to defend ourselves and the ones we love. It does mean that we let the person walk his own journey and have him our prayers because only God can work a miracle in him now.
Rick Rouse What about "Judge not lest ye be judged" What could be clearer than that? Weird how 'Bible believing' Christians choose to completely ignore that one! We might discern but this kind of judgement implies judging and condemning.
Louise Blackman "Judge not lest ye be judged" you need not to take that out of context. Jesus made it clear not to judge others if you're guilty of the same sin yourself. If you are innocent of the sin you judge on others then it's truly righteous to judge. The time to judge is only if good can come out of it.
Rick Rouse Oh yes, you've got a point there. It reminds me of story: And they brought to him a woman caught in adultery. Jesus, ignoring her weeping, starving children eyed the ground for a particularly sharp stone saying, "Stand aside, I'm the only one with the correct credentials for this task." ... No, of course he didn't say this (reportedly)! He says, "... neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more." The problem with us issuing (public) judgements on individuals is that we don't know the whole story and we definitely are not in a position to decide if we are worthy judges. Condemnation does so much damage. In my experience people usually have more trouble with self-judgement and condemnation than the judgement and condemnation of others. What most people need (according to my experience) is someone who won't judge them to listen, care and help them to freedom rather than confirming them in their self-destructive cycles. Conviction and discernment are utterly different from judgement and condemnation, the first come from God the second from 'the PIt'.
Louise Blackman Jesus never holds anything against anyone. Jesus forgives and forgets and will never bring up your sins in any context. Jesus forgives you even before you asked for forgiveness or even if you didn't know you needed forgiveness. The hard part is asking for forgiveness because the only judging done in the heavens is the judging you do to yourself. On Earth on the other hand is a different story. We are imperfect beings and our solutions to our problems will be imperfect as well. The best we can do is use the example of Jesus as our guide so we can correct the wrongs we did, he is our moral compass. We need to judge for self-preservation many times. If we have a criminal in our midst it's expected and needed to point him out, judge him by our laws and prosecute him. It's always about what good can come out of judgment.
Rick Rouse Look into 'restorative justice' Rick - they say nothing breeds criminals like prison. We are not 100 miles apart in our views but there is a lot of hard-heartedness in the church which impedes the flow of the Spirit. People get inured to it because it is so familiar to them but anyone coming immediately from a close encounter with the divine recognise it as worldy and ungodly. I have met people who were so full of God that being in their presence was painful because, as righteous as you might be by the world's standards, you could suddenly see all your faults and flaws vividly and the sight of them made you want to weep with regret. This is conviction. Judgement is when someone finds fault with you, let's you know it, makes you feel rotten and yet you feel confused. You are still in the dark but feel miserable too because there is no sense of being able to resolve the problem. I think Paul calls this 'ungodly sorrow'. Peace.
I can totally understand Jesus battling the most evil first and that those battles were easier. In my mind it is similar to when you are dealing with racism. The most racist i.e. klansman, nazi's etc. is the most easy to confront or battle (in a spiritual sense) and dismiss, but as you back away and see the people who are very subtle in their racism it is harder to deal with, because they don't see themselves as being racist, you cannot change what you don't acknowledge, and since they will not admit to being racist, there is extra work to do. Please don't misunderstand and think that I am doing battle with people. The best way to battle evil is to read the word and practice the guiding principles. To me, Swedenborg is all about love.
You have said this SO well, Ramona. The more subtle versions of evils and negativity, inside ourselves and around us, are actually a much bigger challenge than the obvious versions. Thank you! I agree, that what Swedenborg learned about and wrote down is all about re-learning how to truly love.
I'm so glad, Marc! These deep concepts DO take a while to sink in... but it is worth the wait. And even then we can keep "getting it" more and more, to eternity! Wishing you all the best, friend!
Yeah, because things matter more to a person then. If you really love someone, you feel more pain if they are in trouble, or if there are troubles between you, than if you didn't care much about the person. But the other side of that is, to really love someone is to find a depth of life, happiness, connection and support that can't be found in surface things. Coming through the struggles can make the bond and the friendship stronger. So, it's worth the struggle!
Hello everybody, great video. Interestingly when I was around 20 and heard Jesus Christ name or see the symbol I would just start cry thinking:"he didn't have to die.." then I had a kinesiology session and at the end of session guy asked if there is something last to ask and this crying came to mind. So he started testing muscles and showed up I lived around Christ.. had to process "he didnt have to die.." I didnt cry about it since then. ....and then 10 years after I got into situation that i had to do exorcism... which of course meant that i started to be paying a lots of visits from the evil side... and it was heck of learning! NASTY haha... i used plenty methods with light and God or Christ... but it all worked just for a while, girl had to sleep... however then God gave me this brilliant experience... when I felt my divine self took over my humin and as if a pure spark of God's love from my heart became all of me. I was also fed up by visit and when demon start escaping my space i went after him through ether.... then he literally went to hell and me of course after him. I remember deep, pure love of God I felt. I understood their meaning and obviously they understand mine. They through me out and I heard locking gates...... they never came back, however as I help people (psychology and finding God within) I am tested by things here and here:)... I would say that strongest help is obviously finding white spot in heart and speaking through there if making commands as, you shall not past... however ppl need consciously balance karma related (self hypno statments for instance) then all connections with darkness will be cleared and one can cut out family karma (and collective )alias break the contracts. Because I believe now is time for uniting our godself with huminself and rising light and goodness in self actualisation.. alias us becoming avatars, for our eternal self?
Stones to bread symbolizes the heaers of all humankind; Stones are hard and impossible to sway, while bread is soft and nourishes others. So per correspondences, to turn stones to bread would be to force hard-hearted people to become soft and yielding to divine will. You can see how this would be an impossibility according to Swedenborg's theology, and why it was meant to induce despair. Of course, it is also a lie because no human truly has a heart of stone and thus no human is wholely unswayable. Jesus' response was ingenious. It doesn't answer directly "no human is a stone," but rather answers a deeper truth, which is the word, i.e., the influence of divine love that sways even the most hard-hearted among us.
Yey for understanding! :D How about he says: "Not by bread alone, but by every Word of God shall man live." Because... he IS the Word of God! He practically says to the Devil: "Dude, than why am I here?" God is witty and funny. :D
It was actually the very first OTLE presentation I watched. It humbles and sustains me. The veil of His light is - his "rich inner life" - is an investiture of Love. I'm also deeply touched to hear Jonathan speak here as he does, that the Life of Christ so moves him. And that is what it is all about - yes? - that we are moved by Him to love. Blessings, friend. Always.
the love, peace joy that comes forth in your videos is so uplifting. This video is helping me to deal with a family problem I get very upset with my sons behavior while drinking I point out what could happen and now I wonder if that was wrong. He hurts other family members by what he says he is 46 and is making his own choices but as his mom I want to help him and do not know what to do except pray, because I do not feel he wants to change
That sounds like a painful situation, Cheri. It's really hard, especially as a parent, to choose when it is helpful to intervene and when it isn't. Just keep trying the best you can each day, pray for guidance, and trust that it is not all up to you to solve the problem. I'm glad if there are ideas in this video that feel helpful. The Lord knows all about struggle, and he is there with you every day, giving you strength.
To experience hell is I think one of the reasons God wanted to be here on earth in human form. So he could truly have empathy and also to help bring us through it, dealing with it but within the confines of our human limitations. Showing us how to do that with love.
One more question, do you think 🤔 total damnation could be stamding at the door 🚪 again the world 🌍 today 2021 or is everything going to be ok ✅ especially for those who choose goodness and truth perhaps 🤔??? Ok ✅ love you too Curtis peace ☮️ bye ✌️
Jonathan sees a very rosy picture painted for the future of our earth, in the symbolism of the book of Revelation, and the visions of the Old Testament prophets. Choosing goodness and truth is the key to eternal happiness, for sure, and since nobody is going to live forever ON EARTH, we all have the possibility of "everything going to be ok" in the next life -- if we so choose!

Hello :) Is it possible that evil spirits can use others to attack you? In other words lets say you are on a spiritual path and you are learning so much and it is helping you,but you have a friend or family member that could care less about your path or any path that is spiritual. Could evil spirits use that friend or family member to attack you. What I mean is button pushers. You know those folks that enjoy to push buttons and seem to enjoy making you or others angry. Our friends or family tend to know our weaknesses and can be perfect tools to try to knock you off your path.
We have not yet put that into one of our shows, but here is Swedenborg's report of meeting Mary: "On one occasion I was given an opportunity to talk to Mother Mary. She happened past, and I saw her in heaven over my head in white clothing apparently made of silk. Then, stopping for a while, she said that she had been the Lord's mother in the sense that he was born from her, but by the time he became God he had put off everything human that came from her. Therefore she adores him as her God and does not want anyone to see him as her son, because everything in him is divine." -True Christianity 102[3]
Hello, Gilardo! Some of the Bible quotes in this episode are the translations found in Swedenborg's books. Swedenborg studied the Bible in various versions (in Hebrew/Greek, German and Swedish, I believe) and then wrote Bible text into his books in Latin. Later translators of Swedenborg's books converted it to English. So, those particular versions will not be found in a modern English translation of the Bible. They are unique to Swedenborg's books. Other quotes in this episode are from the New King James Version. And Dr. Rose has said that his personal favorite of the modern Bible translations is the New International Version. Does that answer your question satisfactorily?
Great questions! The Lord is the actual life force deep within us, so in that way, we can never be actually separate from the Lord. But if we refuse to open to that inner presence, and block it out, our outer awareness can separate itself from the Lord, even though the Lord's divine life force is still there within us. The deeper meaning of Isaiah 55:8-9 has to do with the fact that we do not know or understand all of the many ways that the Lord is working to save us, and to turn us toward Him. Those constant divine efforts to help and guide us are always happening in ways that are beyond our comprehension!
@@brendapaint I think of it as the ego (outer awareness) - our superficial, sensory self. Not a bad thing inherently - the sensory self takes care of the body, helps us navigate the physical world, etc. But if this is the self that guides us, we fail to nurture and grow our spirit, and we become superficial and concerned with material things, which leads to the dark side, if you will. Our inner self - our spiritual self - should be in charge, and the outer self should operate from within. That way, our earthly needs are met, but we are looking beyond earth and towards our spirits. It is this inner self - the Divine within - that can teach us to love and be of service! Check out, "Your Outer Self Needs to Obey Your Inner Self" th-cam.com/video/3SAZBqeShIc/w-d-xo.html for more on that!
@@offTheLeftEye yes I relate to that- getting rid of ego or knowing when ego is involved. I do meditate. I just am trying to figure out/understand the bible, (I am not strictly christian, but spiritual, and listen to all prophets)
Whenever I make a breakthrough mentally, and am feeling amazing, some time after that I'm confronted with an event, either externally or internally which causes a collosal flood of hellish thoughts and desires, overwhelmingly so, and have to battle for sometimes days to get back on track. Is this consistent with Swedenborgs work? It seems the measure of the good is then counteracted with an equal measure of bad. For example I've been having ever increasing visions of heaven almost constantly, to a degree of sometimes having full waking dreams (while awake) of heavenly worlds to a point where It feels like Im going to burst, but then I'll be encountered within fairly short time after that with the worst senarios to deal with (internally and externally), where as we speak I've been filled with absolute hate and rage for DAYS (which eventually turns to an even greater good). What's going on? Am I on track? Lol

I do not know about Michael Heiser. It sounds like it has fed you on your spiritual journey. We are all to find God's will for us, and there are lessons all around us.
Here is my understanding of the 2nd temptation:" Satan brought Jesus to the pinnacle of the Temple and challenged him, saying, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down.” Jesus referred to himself as the Temple. It is also written that Christians are temples of God and members of the body of Christ. From this we can understand that Jesus is the main temple while the believers are like branch temples. Jesus came as the Lord of the Temple. When Satan dared Jesus to throw himself down, it meant that he wanted to usurp Jesus’ position as the Lord of the Temple by enticing Jesus to fall from that position to the lowly state of a fallen person. At that moment Jesus answered him, “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.” By overcoming the second temptation, Jesus, the main temple, the bridegroom and the True Parent of humanity, opened the way for all people of faith to be restored to the positions of branch temples, brides and God's children.
Thank you for sharing this interpretation! Through Jesus's life on earth, he enabled us all to be temples for God and have a direct relationship with Him. Well said!
I apologize for the long question (and please don’t feel pressed to respond), I’ve just been wondering and studying about this. When it is said that Jesus subjugated the hells, does Swedenborg mean that with each temptation He successfully overcame, those particular hells from which those temptations arose were subdued, until finally they all were? We know that when He was glorified temptation of any kind could not affect or approach Him. Was the cross His final temptation?
Yes, that is how I understand it, John. It seems that with every section of hell that Jesus encountered and dealt with, through the temptation that that section of hell brought up, the section of hell was then subdued and put back into its place, and could not affect Jesus anymore. Which gradually gave him power over every corner of hell, and thus the power to help us be freed from any corner of hell that has a hold on us. And yes, the suffering on the cross was his final temptation, and with that, his work on earth was finished, as he said on the cross in John 19:30: "So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."
Hi John -- Swedenborg describes the first step of the journey as learning the truth, so that we can know what real love is. If we know that love and goodness is the goal, we can keep working in that direction, or coming from that motivation. Does that resonate with you at all?
@@JohnSmith-yt7oc Yes, love becomes the focus! And the intellect becomes a secondary, serving tool to learn and see particular ways to apply love to life.
@@offTheLeftEye ok thanks, but I'm a little confused as to when to know when to switch to love. For example is it that with certain things in us that are still selfish, we first have to go through truth first, acting accordingly. But the things we've already found the love in we just have to stick to that love?
@@JohnSmith-yt7oc It might help if you gave me an example of what kind of situation you're talking about. It's always time to "switch to love," but often we can be confused about what it really means to come from love in certain situations. Truth is what guides us about how to love genuinely and effectively. And we can always be learning how to better express and live from love. To be led by truth might look like, "boy, I'm not feeling loving toward this person, but I know I am supposed to love my neighbor, so I will do the right thing, even though I'm not feeling it." To be led by love might look like "wow, I'm feeling such compassion for this person. I really want to help them. What can I do?" And then the intellect can look for truth, for guidance, about how to express that love in the most effective way. Does that make sense?
Do we know anyone in history who also went to the third heaven? Did swedenborg meet anyone in the afterlife who he knew of in the world who was there? Sorry if didn't reply to your 6th vs 7th day question I can't find it for the life of me
Hmm, in all of the specific people Swedenborg reported seeing in heaven, or in a heavenly community, I can't recall him specifying *which* level of heaven they were in. There is an entry in his journal of Spiritual Experiences in which he is wondering about the very thing you are asking: Spiritual Experiences 1200. "I was also prompted to wonder whether any people born at this day can be let into the innermost heaven, because hereditary evils have so multiplied. But in thought I seemed to have gotten the answer that those born on this planet today cannot come into the innermost heaven, although those from the most ancient Church on this planet had done so. They had, moreover, from other planets, whose inhabitants are innocent beings. In the very inward and in the inward heaven there are also innocent beings, but not of that kind. The former innocent beings constitute the innermost part, so to speak, of the latter-or it should be called their center, like an axis or a nucleus. Nor can any heaven remain intact unless its center or innermost is innocence, and the rest are arranged as outer edges into which innocence springs forth from the center. For no one can be in the heavens without having something of innocence. Then the innermost heaven also communicates with the very inward one through its center, namely, its innocent beings, and so does the innermost, through the very inward one, communicate with the inward heaven. From all this it can be understood what the communication is like from innermost beings, and from the Lord, according to the order established by the Lord." Now, I don't think this means it is impossible for anyone to enter the third heaven nowadays. Swedenborg was writing that at an extreme low point in the story of humanity, right before the Last Judgment in the spiritual world, and it might just be that there was no one at that point opening their mind to that level, because there was so much spiritual blockage. I believe that the new spiritual light that began to get through from heaven to earth after the Last Judgment is bringing back the ability to understand what the mindset of the highest heaven is all about, and thus bringing back the ability to do the work to open up to that, if we have the desire for it. Swedenborg did say that the Lord's wish is to bring everyone into the highest heaven, so, it makes sense to me that the Lord would be constantly working to make that possible to people, and to inspire our hearts to want it. Entering the highest heaven requires deep humility, and it's a real struggle to let go of our lower-ego's resistance to that. We discuss some differences between the spiritual heaven state of mind and heart, and the celestial heaven state of mind and heart, in our episode "The Difference Between Grace and Mercy" th-cam.com/video/KVt8KQoFzCc/w-d-xo.html
@@offTheLeftEye wow I had no idea it was that difficult for us. So that would mean even the prophets weren't in the inmost. Which is surprising. As a separate thing I always wondered what the relationship between cosmic consciousness and the 7th heaven was. It seems like thier understanding was taken up to cosmic levels during those experiences, but those experiences were always temporary, and when they came back out thier ego still had things to say. Which is fascinating because I always thought cosmic consciousness was was kind of the peak experience. So was swedenborg himself not a central heaven either?
@@bluered2544 Anybody can actually be temporarily lifted up into the highest heaven if they have been prepared by the Lord! They just can't stay there if their heart hasn't opened to that level. Swedenborg did visit angels in the highest heaven. I have no idea what heaven he ended up living in, but he did have an angel examine his face one time who saw that his thoughts and curiosity were pure and genuine. I believe his heart had opened quite a bit. He had truly come a long way into humility and gratitude and devotion to the Lord, and he wanted to be led by the Lord.
@@offTheLeftEye right yeh I remember the vid about the married couple getting a gift from God near the end of their ceremony by seeing the whole universe or something. So it must be pretty common to have a glimpse of cosmic consciousness then if all married couples get to see that. But just more uncommon for it to be in your heart.
@@bluered2544 I can't speak to how common it is, or isn't. I really think it depends on the individual - perhaps for some, a glimpse of the cosmos would be good motivation, a vision of the state they are working towards. Others may already be there and ready for it! It just depends. But I really can't know how all of that works, though it is fun to imagine and speculate!
Baptists believe you have to except Jesus before you go to Heaven. What is that about? and quote John. Can you help me with this. YOur programme is Life Changing . Thankyou so much.
Swedenborg was led to discover that heaven is for people that live good lives according to the principles of their faith, be it Christian or not. This is because the Lord is mercy itself, and desires all to enter heaven and experience the joy there. Here's a passage from Swedenborg's book, Heaven and Hell: "The general opinion is that people who have been born outside the church, the people called “the nations” or “non-Christians,” cannot be saved because they do not have the Word and therefore do not know the Lord; and without the Lord there is no salvation. They could know, however, that these people too are saved simply from the fact that the Lord’s mercy is universal, that is, it is extended to all individuals. NonChristians are born just as human as people within the church, who are in fact few by comparison. It is not their fault that they do not know the Lord. So anyone who thinks from any enlightened reason at all can see that no one is born for hell. The Lord is actually love itself, and his love is an intent to save everyone. So he provides that everyone shall have some religion, an acknowledgment of the Divine Being through that religion, and an inner life." What do you think, Marion?
my weakness is am so patient I Iet people down words against me just passed on by me is that right' I am kimd of like ashamed to get mad why's this I felt so awkward when people see me me murmuring or in pitch tone. and that makes me depressed within.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
at 21:40 I think it's delusional that people think that he is not angry but if you haven't been in hell for something you didn't do, you wouldn't understand how IMPORTANT JUSTICE ACTUALLY IS. It's endemic for people to ignore what the Bible actually says “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9. You are expected to THINK IT OUT! NOT to ignore when it is contrary to the LAW which in Matthew 5:17-20 Jesus said About Those who forsake the commandments…Matthew 5:17-20 “Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished. So whoever breaks one of the least [important] of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least [important] !my understanding is by those! in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them, he will be called great !my understanding is by those! in the kingdom of heaven.”
I would encourage you to be more suspect of the "promises". If you are making choices that are bettering the world, and not thinking someone else should be tortured for you, you might be okay.
It's strange that you ADMIT God is Justice yet make that mean you are entitled to mercy if you have been taking bribes on his innocent blood. Who May Dwell on Your Holy Mountain? Psalm 15 A Psalm of David. “1O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy mountain? 2He who walks with integrity and practices righteousness, who speaks the truth from his heart, 3who has no slander on his tongue, who does no harm to his neighbor, who casts no scorn on his friend, 4who despises the vile but honors those who fear the LORD, who does not revise a costly oath, 5who lends his money without interest and refuses a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.”
The star that guided the three kings. How could it be a star? A moving, guiding star? My brother who is a bit autistic but on the nice spectrum when he was 14 stated saying that Jesus came In a spaceship and that the Star was a spaceship. Swedenborg dos acknowledge that there are other intelligent beings in the universe but did he ever made this type of connection? I haven't read his books. Just started reading Secrets of heaven and I have watched many of this wonderful videos.
I think the star could have been fixed in the sky, and used to guide the three kings-- just as sailor's have used the stars to navigate the seas. We actually break this open in a recent episode here: th-cam.com/video/Fyv2ewsLm1g/w-d-xo.html
The story of Abraham and his son Isaac. Isaac's sacrifice has always troubled me. How does Swedenborg make the connections between these other stories and Jesus? Did Abraham and Isaac really exist and went through this experience or is the old testament mainly metaphorical? I'm probably thinking too much into this. I believe is a bit of both. They did exist but also the stories are symbolic plus we only got a small part. One small collection of books who make up the old and new testament when we should probably have a Much, much larger collection with a lot more details . The book of Adam and Eve talks about Abraham's sacrifice ( more like Isaac's sacrifice) is why later on God had to sacrifice his son Jesus to comply with his part of the agreement. The book of Adam and Eve and the book of Enoch are very interesting.ss well.
Katira, you're in luck. We just produced a show called "The Psychology of Jesus" that goes directly into the internal meaning of Abraham and Isaac. Let me know your thoughts! th-cam.com/video/CQxCplkoPIg/w-d-xo.html
Katira, a book that helps is called "The Origin of Consciousness." Jewish people have a different "midrash" of the Abram story that does not make the transition to our Christian understanding. Today, we could say to women, do not abort your children for perceived good or worship of secularism.
Im still catching up on "old" Swedenborg vids ... the Christmas Star (I think) was an astrological configuration of planets, interpreted by Zororaster "wise men" (in Syria-Iran thereabouts), which foretold Jesus birth, and who traveled to see Jesus as a child .... (I live near Glencairne Museum and am excited to see the Nativity collection this holiday season!) Learning about the Zorastrian religion was a door to Swedenborg for me. Thank you for great information & answers to questions🙏🙏🙏
That's so cool that Zoroastrianism led you to Swedenborg, Debra! I don't know much about it, but I do like to ponder how "the Star" could have been both astrologically accurate AND symbolic of the truth leading all "wise people" to the love of the Lord God Jesus Christ. I hope I get to see that Nativity exhibit, too! Glencairn is awesome! You're so welcome for our content and discussions -- thanks for being part of the community!
Thank you for answering my question Curtis. I wasn't sure myself but I was always leaning towards the belief that Jesus is God but in body form so he can walk and talk with us basically. This also makes the most sense because if you believed Jesus is a spirit like us or the angels then it means that spirits can climb or progress and become Godlike then that would mean there would be more then one Jesus but how can there be 2 or more perfect absolute beings??? Perfection and absoluteness is unique it's singular. I learned as spirits we can move towards or away from God but if I believed Jesus was a spirit that moved the closest to God and became Godlike then why is he the only one since time is eternal in heaven then all spirits would be Jesus. God is not a spirit he is God and he created us spirits and because spirits are finite beings we can move and change getting closer to truth and love or farther away from it.
+Rick Rouse +Rick Rouse No, you are right in what you thought Jesus is God in the flesh, perfect in every way to be the sacrificial lamb to pay for our sins, do not take the truth and exchange it for a lie, Mary gave nothing to Jesus, she was a vessel nothing more, he even called her woman, not mother, and she called him Lord... Luke 1:38 " I am the Lords servant," stop listening to people and read the bible yourself, no one who serves God almighty has the eye of Horus as a logo!, think for yourselves!
@@ZYONCOMICS I think it was a way of metaphorically trying to explain how it was that Jesus could experience such of humanity's struggles. It provides a way of understanding Scripture rather than worshiping the Word dogmatically without true human understanding. It is a theological bridge of understanding.
Here is my understanding of the meaning of the first temptation: Satan appeared before him and tempted him, saying, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread. Jesus’ answer to this temptation was, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. . . . unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.” In his reply, Jesus meant that although he was starving, he was less concerned about obtaining the bread which could keep his body alive than he was with becoming the incarnate Word of God who could nourish every spirit with life. With that heart, Jesus was determined to triumph over Satan.
In the beginning of sectrets of heaven he talks about the seven days of creation; "in the fourth stage, love stirs and faith enlightens us. Before this time we may have spoken devoutly and yeilded good harvest, but we did so in a state of trial and anguish, not at the call of faith and kindness. In consequence they are now kindled in our inner self and are called the two lights". Does he mean that pain and anguish are of the earlier stages alone? If so why was Christ suffering until the final moments of his life?
I don't understand it to mean that all pain and anguish are gone, but that a particular *kind* of pain and anguish are over. The fourth day of creation represents a shift in motivation. I don't find a clear explanation of what Swedenborg means there by "we did so in a state of trial and anguish," but putting various things together from later text, I think of this as having to do with a more external state, when our outer self (lower ego) is still really leading things. At that stage, it can be more a matter of outer suffering that gets us seeking God and a change in our lives. Once this "fourth day" shift happens, which is the awakening of our inner self with its deeper motivations, things are different. We want to "speak devoutly and yield good harvest" because we care about what is good and right toward God and other people, rather than because we want to make things better for ourselves. Also, there is an element in the early stages of reformation in which our lower ego desires are truly at war with deeper, selfless love. When this shift happens, that struggle within ourselves is over. It's not that we will not face trials, but that we are clear about wanting the higher good, instead of being torn between higher, altruistic motivations and self-serving motivations. Does that make any sense?
@@JohnSmith-yt7oc yes, I do believe that it is very rare for a person to reach stage 7 on earth. That's the stage of full regeneration, which means the stage of having one's mind and heart fully in heaven. Jesus achieved that during earthly life, but for most of us, that stage will be reached sometime after we die!
@@offTheLeftEye they should make a doc on the search for a 7 lol. Thanks again :) But one more question; if Christ achieved full regeneration early on, what was he doing for the rest of his life? I always assumed the final completion was on the cross
@@JohnSmith-yt7oc Oh, sorry for not being clear. Christ didn't achieve that early on in his life, but just achieved it fully in earthly life, by the time his physical life was over. Because you're right, the final stage of that process was on the cross! But most of the rest of us won't finish the process during earthly life. We'll get started here on earth, and continue in the afterlife.
Can someone explain what is meant by salvation? again, comes up the angst that I must believe Jesus died for my sins in order for me to be saved???? could use some answers on this salvation thing.
Hey +bailey31909, I hear you on the angst! You might find some helpful ideas in our episode "Why Jesus Was Born": th-cam.com/video/VsbuxkXYbRI/w-d-xo.html. Swedenborg understands scripture from a fairly different tack than mainstream Christianity. If Jesus and the Father are one, like Jesus says, and if we believe Jesus when he says, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father" and that by seeing Jesus we are seeing and knowing the Father (John 10, 14), then it makes little sense to me to think that Jesus being killed is some kind of sacrifice between two parties making up for humanity's sins. We *are* saved on account of Jesus' life and the process he underwent while in the world, but it's a matter of how Jesus fought spiritual battles in a human form with Divine Love as his soul and re-established a direct connection from his divine self all the way to the outermost level of creation and paved the way for us to be able to make use of that connection inwardly in our own spiritual lives. So salvation is our ability to connect to the Lord's love and wisdom flowing into us and clearing the way for it, using our minds to see evil for what it is and turn away from it. Are these thoughts helpful, bailey? Hope you get some clarity on the topic and peace!
+offTheLeftEye Yes, this is helpful. I never got why killing His Son was supposed to save me? But by allowing a divine human to come into the world and help us to understand how to connect with the divine - God - while in human form makes sense. It is sort of like God saying - hey you all on Earth - you are not connecting like you can so I am going to come into physical form and show you how to do it, voila! But you do not have to believe that Jesus "died for your sins" in order to propel your spirit into heaven - or all those that came before Jesus or who do not know his existence would never make it. And that, my friends, is why I stopped going to the churches here in the southern USA. Everyone has the love of God, and God wants all of us in heaven, whatever, wherever, whenever that may be. common sense. not out of fear. out of love.
Hey Sovereign! Maintaining health is a process of homeostasis, showing up everyday and navigating our fluctuating states the best we can. Much of our health goes on behind the scenes of our conscious awareness, so it is a lot of surrendering too. I've found meditation is a valuable practice in my overall approach to health on all levels. When I sit for meditation, I come into a state of presence and find I can feel the presence of the Lord--you could say on a "heart level" because it is in the realm of feelings rather than thoughts. You might enjoy our episode How Spirits are Connected to Your Health - th-cam.com/video/8N-ofY8eLvw/w-d-xo.html. The last section of that show talks about a holistic approach to health, including the spiritual level. Hope these ideas are helpful and feel free to be in touch with any further questions if you have any!
Dude you totally helped me deliver my self. Ive been ent free and given new light on how and why I should be battling. This spiritual war is nothing to play with. Now I pray and slay because of the one who did it before me for me! So thank you man!
Hi Winter Song, I'm sorry you don't like our music! Have you tried watching with subtitles or closed captioning? We also include links in each episode (in the description) to a written recap of the episode on the Swedenborg Foundation website.
Hi- just wondering how can God like evil people, and want them to be happy. Where is the justice in that. Totally agree with you though Curtis regarding when things get you down- sadness, grief etc, how this can help. Turning to spirituality etc.
It occurs to me that when God created humanity and his plan was to have Heaven on earth. The human race chose to disobey and when they did Hell was created. We were kicked out of Heaven to live in the Hell we created. God came into the earth to rescue the human race and return us to a Heavenly state.
I think that's a pretty good synopsis, Bill! I think I'd tweak it just a bit, according to Swedenborg -- God's coming to earth restored us to the ABILITY to gain a heavenly state. We still need to work at it and choose it, but at least the choice was restored, whereas before (according to Swedenborg) the hells had become overpoweringly powerful and kind of blocked heaven's light from reaching the human mind. So Jesus taking on the hells, all the way down to the level of his physical body, and being victorious in those conflicts, was what returned us to that state of SPIRITUAL freedom. What do you think?
Hi Curtis. May l suggest you. view Kat Kerr, you tube. , , who has visited Heaven for some twenty yeàrs describing, God The Father. and Jesus Christ, talking with them and sharing what she saw in Heaven! Really phenomenal!! Enjoy.!

No, they are not sisters. But maybe we could think of them as spiritual sisters, because they are both Latin scholars, very interested in Swedenborg's writings!
I found that very young children who slash out. I have seen that comes from their own mothers. It’s quite chocking how many mothers treat their own children. But that’s my view though🙂
I hear you, Ingegerd. As a mother of young children myself (Melissa here), I have to admit that I have great days and I have had terrible days too. There are days when I've been that mean, awful mom - in public! At my wit's end! And other days where I can't fathom that level of frustration. Over time, I've learned that respecting my children's needs and routines, as well as my own, allows me to be a much better, more loving parent. For example, I no longer take tired, hungry kids grocery shopping if I can help it... that's a recipe for disaster for all of us! But it's been a journey and a learning experience! I wish all mothers the wisdom, patience, love, and self care they need to be able to parent in a loving way! It's a hard job, for sure, and we are deeply human! May God lead us and our children to peaceful upbringings!
So when Jesus drove the moneychangers and merchants from the temple was that anger his ‘inherited sin’ or the righteous anger of God? What about all of the ‘woes’ to the pharisees and scribes? Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. (Matt 21)
I would not be so bold as to quantify or qualify the emotions Jesus felt while on earth. Except to know that His motivation is always love for the human race, and complete mercy. Thank you Michael for the quotes. Happy Easter.
@@offTheLeftEye thank you. It just seems like it gives the interpreter an easy out to pick and choose which bible passages represent the divine Jesus and which represent a fallen, sinful Jesus. And it impacts how we live. Did Swedenborg say that killing in defense of the weak or in sef-defense can be righteous. People seem really tocused on the loving Jesus, but not the ‘i come not to bring Peace, but a sword’ Jesus. Anyway, thanks for your heartfelt and illuminating content.
@@michaeltilley8708 Did we say that there is an aspect of Jesus that is fallen or sinful? I have never used that phrase myself. I hear you about choosing which passages to take at face value and which need interpreting. The parables in the bible help us hone that skill. God invites us to listen to the symbolism. As for righteous killing, there is a chapter in the book True Christianity that explores murder, from actual killing, to destroying another person's reputation. I would not want to try to summarize such an important question. You can download it at swedenborg.com. I know I have wrestled with the violent stories especially in the Old Testament, and yet when I read them with symbolism in mind I see that I need to obliterate those evil tendencies in myself represented by the Amalekites, or other enemies. Completely. That is what is meant by the Israelites killing whole nations including women and children. Let's keep talking Michael.

We greatly appreciate your kind encouragement, shelia, and I'm so glad you are enjoying the shows. Hell was only able to approach and affect the Lord because he chose to allow it. It was the method necessary for putting the spiritual realm back into order and for forging a path that we can follow to be released from our own "hell." I like that imagery of a sword being made by going in and out of the fire. It sounds like you have been through some rough times in your life. I'm glad you can believe that the Lord is there for you, helping you along. He understands all of our struggles because he went through such severe struggles himself!
Thank you SF for promoting a Christian God who is infinitely good and trustworthy rather than the mean, nasty and capricious God of what usually passes for Christianity.

This show was food for my soul.
-Melissa

Melissa:
I agree with you, it is fascinating and yes it did hit home for me.

Yeah, that's a profound thing to consider, isn't it? Thank you for watching!
The harder the struggle, the closer one is to the divine truth.
This was a fantastic episode. I hope one day this group can expand even further and have an actual school to teach children this philosophy. We need it more than ever these days.
Wow, that would be so cool, vanillabean84! There ARE some Swedenborg-based schools out there, if you're interested in those! There are some in Bryn Athyn, PA, USA, but those are not the only ones. We at Swedenborg Foundation/offTheLeftEye are nondenominational, but if you're interested, here are some of the ones I am aware of:
These ones are from the General Church of the New Jerusalem, (known as the New Church) one Swedenborgian denomination, which is also based in Bryn Athyn: newchurch.org/ or here, www.newchurchvineyard.org/about/general-church-education-department/
The New Church runs a college called Bryn Athyn College, which you can check out here: brynathyn.edu/
I know in terms of higher education, there is the Center for Swedenborgian Studies, which is the center for Swedenborgian scholarship for the Swedenborgian church of North America. Here is the school website: css.gtu.edu/about-us and here is the Swedenborgian church website: swedenborg.org/
I'm sure there are others. Maybe someday, you'll start one! (=
Hope that's useful!

It brought to mind verses from Hebrews which I have wondered about:
Heb 2: 10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.

“The greater the love the harder the struggle” damn🔥
Interesting, jana. May we all have that experience of that pure spark of God's love filling us up completely!
:D How about he says: "Not by bread alone, but by every Word of God shall man live."
Because... he IS the Word of God! He practically says to the Devil: "Dude, than why am I here?"
God is witty and funny.

Thanks for sharing your perspective, Medicated. Yes, anything we've gone through with hell, God's gone through worse!

Our friends or family tend to know our weaknesses and can be perfect tools to try to knock you off your path.

offTheLeftEye Hi, Swedenborgs meeting with hear. Blessings to you teacher.
We have not yet put that into one of our shows, but here is Swedenborg's report of meeting Mary:
"On one occasion I was given an opportunity to talk to Mother Mary. She happened past, and I saw her in heaven over my head in white clothing apparently made of silk. Then, stopping for a while, she said that she had been the Lord's mother in the sense that he was born from her, but by the time he became God he had put off everything human that came from her. Therefore she adores him as her God and does not want anyone to see him as her son, because everything in him is divine."

Lisa! I am so glad this was your experience. What did you like about it? I would love to hear your thoughts!
can you ask dr. ross what type of bible he uses? the reference numbers on the verses seem very helpful. thank you very much.
Does that answer your question satisfactorily?
yes. Thank you for responding!
Could the word "if" play anything in these 3 temptations?
hello. Do you guys have an explaination of Isaiah 55:8-9 and also do you believe the lord is seperate from us?
Great questions! The Lord is the actual life force deep within us, so in that way, we can never be actually separate from the Lord. But if we refuse to open to that inner presence, and block it out, our outer awareness can separate itself from the Lord, even though the Lord's divine life force is still there within us. The deeper meaning of Isaiah 55:8-9 has to do with the fact that we do not know or understand all of the many ways that the Lord is working to save us, and to turn us toward Him. Those constant divine efforts to help and guide us are always happening in ways that are beyond our comprehension!
@@offTheLeftEye thank you . hmmm outer awareness separates us? that's an interesting concept.
19:38 sounds like the devil to me. Isaiah 2-19 actually referred to PEOPLE not demons. Keep that in mind.
For example I've been having ever increasing visions of heaven almost constantly, to a degree of sometimes having full waking dreams (while awake) of
heavenly worlds to a point where It feels like Im going to burst, but then I'll be encountered within fairly short time after that with the worst senarios to deal with (internally and externally), where as we speak I've been filled with absolute hate and rage for DAYS (which eventually turns to an even greater good). What's going on? Am I on track? Lol
Yes, you are on track! These are cycles that are to be expected! Aw, thank you so much, Michael. We're sending love right back to you!
Have you guys seen any of the Michael Heiser material, and if so, how do you think it squares with the Swedenborg stuff? Seems like a fruitful avenue.
I do not know about Michael Heiser. It sounds like it has fed you on your spiritual journey. We are all to find God's will for us, and there are lessons all around us.
Here is my understanding of the 2nd temptation:" Satan brought Jesus to the pinnacle of the Temple and challenged him, saying, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down.”
Jesus referred to himself as the Temple.
At that moment Jesus answered him, “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.”
By overcoming the second temptation, Jesus, the main temple, the bridegroom and the True Parent of humanity, opened the way for all people of faith to be restored to the positions of branch temples, brides and God's children.
Woah. This video was so helpful. ❤
That's wonderful to hear! These particular teachings are profound.
So when he talks about to keep coming from love, does he mean through truths?
Hi John -- Swedenborg describes the first step of the journey as learning the truth, so that we can know what real love is. If we know that love and goodness is the goal, we can keep working in that direction, or coming from that motivation. Does that resonate with you at all?
@@offTheLeftEye ah, so then once your intellect agrees you have a genuine love for love, then you focus on that instead?
There is an entry in his journal of Spiritual Experiences in which he is wondering about the very thing you are asking:
Spiritual Experiences 1200. From all this it can be understood what the communication is like from innermost beings, and from the Lord, according to the order established by the Lord."
Now, I don't think this means it is impossible for anyone to enter the third heaven nowadays.
Excellent! Thank you GOD bless all of you❤
So glad it felt meaningful to you, Desigan! Blessings to you, too!
Here's a passage from Swedenborg's book, Heaven and Hell:
"The general opinion is that people who have been born outside the
church, the people called “the nations” or “non-Christians,” cannot
be saved because they do not have the Word and therefore do not know
the Lord; and without the Lord there is no salvation. They could know,
however, that these people too are saved simply from the fact that the
Lord’s mercy is universal, that is, it is extended to all individuals. NonChristians
are born just as human as people within the church, who are
in fact few by comparison. It is not their fault that they do not know the
Lord. So anyone who thinks from any enlightened reason at all can see
that no one is born for hell. The Lord is actually love itself, and his love
is an intent to save everyone. So he provides that everyone shall have
some religion, an acknowledgment of the Divine Being through that
religion, and an inner life."
What do you think, Marion?
Thank you so much. I believe and agree with you.
my weakness is am so patient I Iet people down words against me just passed on by me is that right' I am kimd of like ashamed to get mad why's this I felt so awkward when people see me me murmuring or in pitch tone. and that makes me depressed within.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Meditate in silence and ask God to give you the words you need. Also, listen... =)
at 21:40 I think it's delusional that people think that he is not angry but if you haven't been in hell for something you didn't do, you wouldn't understand how IMPORTANT JUSTICE ACTUALLY IS.
Yes God is a God of justice, Spirit. I feel safe knowing that He is mercy itself, and is taking incredible care of each of us.
2He who walks with integrity
and practices righteousness,
who speaks the truth from his heart,
3who has no slander on his tongue,
who does no harm to his neighbor,
who casts no scorn on his friend,
4who despises the vile
but honors those who fear the LORD,
who does not revise a costly oath,
5who lends his money without interest
and refuses a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things
will never be shaken.”
Thanks for your encouragement SpiritofLife.
Mercy by definition is not given fro entitlement. It is a gift, Spirit.
(I live near Glencairne Museum and am excited to see the Nativity collection this holiday season!)
Learning about the Zorastrian religion was a door to Swedenborg for me.

Gotta love Doc Rose, "Jesus's homies" 🤣🤣 you're the man Doc
LOL thanks Michael!
thank you for this show.
You're so welcome, Patrick!
Here is my understanding of the meaning of the first temptation: Satan appeared before him
and tempted him, saying, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.
Jesus’ answer to this temptation was, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. . . . unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.”
In his reply, Jesus meant that although he was starving, he was less concerned about obtaining the bread which could keep his body alive than he was with becoming the incarnate Word of God who could nourish every spirit with life.
With that heart, Jesus was determined to triumph over Satan.
That sounds true, Pierre! Here's an episode we did about communion if you'd like to explore this idea more: th-cam.com/video/HwQ6E5eGIhQ/w-d-xo.html
@@offTheLeftEye yes perfect thankyou! Do you know any stage 7's btw? Must be rare as he says
Thanks again :)
But one more question; if Christ achieved full regeneration early on, what was he doing for the rest of his life? I always assumed the final completion was on the cross
@@JohnSmith-yt7oc Oh, sorry for not being clear. Christ didn't achieve that early on in his life, but just achieved it fully in earthly life, by the time his physical life was over. Because you're right, the final stage of that process was on the cross! But most of the rest of us won't finish the process during earthly life. We'll get started here on earth, and continue in the afterlife.
This is so refreshing ^^*
I'm overjoyed to hear this!
Awesome, +bailey31909! Sounds like you got it! I'd go to *your* church! :)
do you practice meditation?
Hey Sovereign! This is Chelsea on the OTLE team. I do practice meditation. Do you have a particular question about it?
offTheLeftEye how can you heal and regenerate the body and mind into perfect health with meditation? and meet Jesus too
Hey Sovereign!

What do you think?
what about animal spirits?

Is Lisa and Kara Sisters?
No, they are not sisters. But maybe we could think of them as spiritual sisters, because they are both Latin scholars, very interested in Swedenborg's writings!
Yes we are all brothers and sisters. I thought of that when i wrote my question.
@@offTheLeftEye and a Happy Easter to you. Blessings!
