This was TOTALLY me!! I put it off for so long because I was so afraid of what people would think like "who does she think she is"? But then I heard another content creator say that she was never really bothered with those opinions because the people who had negative things to say were the ones that would always be too afraid to put themselves out there and I thought that was so powerful! Now I wish I had let go of that fear so much sooner, so if you're considering.. JUST DO IT! What's the worst that could happen? :)

@@allthingsself haha hey, I totally felt that way for a while too 🫣😂 but really.. the WORST thing that happens is maybe few people judge you and have something to say about you feel a little embarrassed for a while (chances are they are still giving you views though 👀) and in three months if you decide it wasn’t worth it, they aren’t even going to REMEMBER and everyone will move on. But I think you’d be surprised how many people WANT to support you and just like Erin said… you have no idea what you’re missing out on by not starting!

It hit me last night that if i had been more consistent at any point within my first three years of starting TH-cam I’ve would’ve been 4 to 7 years into having built my TH-cam channel by now. I don’t want to wait another 4-7 years to get consistent with my channel. Most of it is perfectionism and fear
So many of us have those exact sentiments. The most important lesson here is to just start now. I just posted a video about how to start and grow a TH-cam channel this year, and I think it'll be helpful for you.

YUP! Analysis Paralysis! I finally punched fear in the face and hit record. I was always making excuses and looking for the perfect moment every time. The perfect environment, the perfect lighting, the perfect budget, I didn't like the way I looked on camera, I didn't like how I sounded, etc., etc., etc. I finally started my TH-cam Channel. I was getting sick of listening to myself make excuses. IAM ENOUGH! I AM GOOD ENOUGH! I AM GREAT! I AM AMAZING! I AM AWESOME! So I did it, and Amazing things will happen. I know this because, through God, all things are possible. For the person reading this. The person watching this video and receiving Erin's messages YOU GOT THIS! Blessings to you all.

Resonates deeply to where I am in life to start my business now. I can’t keep making excuses yet I still have fear. I’m going to step out of my comfort zone this year.
This is me! it hurts to have such potential and multiple gifts but fear of success is got me on a choke hold!!! Starting and finishing i take my time and say I got time but no I really dont.the time is now!!!!

I must confess that, I fear I do it and be good at it and I don't know how to handle it. 😭😭😩😩, but I've woken up, and this year I want to be uncomfortable! I've wasted too many years waiting to overcome this fear. But I am just going to JUMP in and hope I learn to swim real fast!

This video was exactly the confirmation I needed to keep going. God has given me so many ideas over the years but I was so scared to fail AND succeed. I recently just went for it and the feedback has been amazing.
I absolutely encourage you all to start. It's so scary but it gets easier and easier and before long you're comfortable in that space. My procrastination was induced by fear but I did it through the fear anyway.

I have so much fear in starting a channel, want to but I’m so afraid of failing, looking silly, ppl in my town finding it and making fun of me. It’s been 2 years I’ve thought of a cleaning channel but I keep talking myself out of it. I applaud u for getting over the fear and just doing it! So much respect for it. Yes! This was me when I started my writing business. I was terrified, but then I had to ask myself of what I was scared of more. Not starting or starting? So glad I didn't let fear win.
This really hit home for me. I started my channel a while ago and have not been consistent. Every year I proclaim that I'm going to do it despite the fear of who's going to watch, my channel won't grow, nobody wants to see me, etc. I have no excuse. I have all the equipment I need and the crazy thing is I keep buying stuff and it just sits. It's been so long since I did a video I forgot how to do a thumbnail, edit and more. Thanks for the motivation.
You can do it, Kerri. The decision to put myself out there despite my own fears is the fear of burying my God - given talents and regret one day with the "what ifs". You can do it 👍🏽

I have been dealing with fear and feeling like I'm not as capable as my clients would like me to be. Or that I am not capable of achieving my goals I have set because I'm not "enough" and God really spoke through your words Erin.
He put in my heart "why are you doubting when I created you? Do you think I have messed up in creating you? That I didn't create you to be a capable woman and to be successful?"

I got up this morning and this same topic was on my mind and god must have thrown your video into my feed as I was creating my video vision board with all of my hopes and dreams attached to it. God works in mysterious ways and i am praying he keeps my mind afloat to begin this new chapter in my life after loosing everything and hopefully this is financially available to be pushed into a new chapter and out of my fear of starting over and at 53 years old, its finally my time.

I needed to hear this so much! Every year / other month I restart my journey and I let it go cause I’m like well what if I don’t have the time and what if I fail and what if I succeed what will I do. But because of this video, because of you , I will be posting all the videos that I’ve edited and filmed and just held on to. I have a dream to have 3 streams of income this year that I’ve created for myself and 2 quit at least 1 of my two jobs. I really think that I can do it . “Faith without works is dead” James 2:14

Amazing video! I felt the same procrastination and analysis paralysis for years before I decided to make videos again. Even though my videos still aren’t as good as I would like them to be, just getting started felt so good and I hope will help me eventually learn how to make higher quality videos like you do. This video made me very emotional and even brought tears to my eyes because it felt as if Erin was speaking to me directly. I am guilty of hiding behind my fear and finding every reason to stall and not take the first step into a potential path of success for myself. It's mind-blowing to me that fear (which is only our imagination) can induce a negative force so strong that it can stop a person in their tracks from living out their dreams, desires, and best life. Hi Erin. Thank you for posting this, because this is something I continue to struggle with lol. My life is crazy as it is as a mom and IDK how TH-camrs do this. The amount of time, energy, and consistency it takes to manage a TH-cam channel is bananas. However, I want to post videos consistently but can't find the right time. I am making progress; I am just taking it little by little.
Oh yeah, I can relate. Juggling family, job responsibilities with a TH-cam channel is not easy. To stay consistent and film content, I set up a schedule like using 1 Saturday to film 3 videos back to back, so throughout the week, I can just edit and post, create shorts and reels ( TH-cam & Instagram) from it and rest the following weekend. It has worked so far. You can do it 👍🏽

You will always get better the more you do something. I looked at my vlogs from when I FIRST started my channel until NOW & all you see is growth. 💕

I love art, singing, and movement but it gets overwhelming trying to “mix” them & rush it cuz I feel like I’m running out of time.

I logged on to your channel tonight just to see what you’ve been up to and I needed to hear this… I am older and the time limitations in my life are no longer due to a job and three teenagers. It’s due to medical issues and family responsibilities now that I’m a grandma and I have an older mother and, my big fear is that I’m going to get started and like my norm is to have to deal with something for like a week and then sometimes the second week so I’m afraid that if I get started and then I have to stop for a couple weeks it’s going to throw everything off. But all of you guys keep saying just start. I just don’t want put all the time Getting started and have to take a mandatory two or three weeks off and then lose whatever momentum, but it sounds like if I don’t start, I’ll never know? Thank you for this. And I also appreciate that you openly share your face because that’s what I want to do on my channel as well.❤
Can you do a video about how much you pay someone and when to know when you should hire someone and when you need someone ? Also what type of people you need to build a team for your brand whether it’s for TH-cam or a company
