@@TheLazyFusspot_3428 Mandalorian 1 episode i enjoy, 1 episode i hate, this show is like, meh. I would like to see Kenobi defeating an inquisitor. Its like watching Halo, where in Halo half the show is a filler about some stupid filler girl, if that would be cut out, the show would be actually good, so here, there is also a lot of stuff, which should be cut out, so the show would be great, and same goes for Mando.
In 1977 my mother took me to A new hope and loved Star Wars from that date. Hated to wait between films and sometimes wonder if I would life long enough to see all films. Loved the prequels and the sequels missed the Star Wars feeling for me. Obi-Wan brought this feeling back and was really emotional at times. It's sad my mother didn't lived long enough to see it but at least I did. I'm 57 now and maybe I'll see a season 2. But a great thanx to Ewan, Haiden and the whole team for a job well done.
Yes. RIP to your mom Robert. By the way, just be lucky you missed the sequel trilogy of Star Wars. It's not good at all. Full of identity politics an unacceptable junk.

Me too. Like the Mando and Boba Fett gave us a little taste of the genre, but to see the Force and Lightsabers again, it was such a joy. I'm actually glad they didn't do 3 movies. I want to see a 10 plus episode season next year, and another season after, instead of watching 3 movies over 6 or so years.
I've started watching Star Wars was when my dad bought the original trilogy cassette tapes back in the 1990s, I was around 5 years old at the time when he introduced it to me lol. Nowadays I'm playing the games and watching the movies/tv shows as they release.

As soon as the credits started rolling, I turned around from my spot on the floor in the front of the TV, looked at my mom, and said. "I WANT to be Princess Leia for Halloween." I don't care what everyone says Kenobi series is amazing, 9/10 rate Only old fans know this to be true
I have loved Star Wars my entire life, and I love it all - tv series, movies, animated shows! I grew up with the original trilogy in the 70s as a young girl and continued to enjoy the prequels with my Dad. I probably saw New Hope in theaters at least 10 times! When he was going thru cancer treatments he had to wear a face mask when his neck was getting zapped and he always joked that it was his storm trooper helmet! Sadly he passed in 2017 and didn't see 8 or 9, but I took him to see 7 in the theater. I believe he would have loved Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett for the gun-slinger aspects - he loved his westerns!! I have started a Funko Pop Star Wars collection and have some of the movie posters to decorate my Star Wars room walls! Also a Grogu bath rug and shower curtain in my master bath!
My dad and my maternal uncle were always big fans….when I was around 10 he rented all 3 of the original trilogy after I had scene the phantom menace and didn’t know what to make of it. It’s so weird but even as a 10 year old girl that wasn’t into science fiction I was immediately hooked. That gave me the joy of having that priceless experience of the anticipation leading to the release of episode II and episode III. At that point I was in…..forever. It is such a fond memory of my childhood becoming such a huge fan or the original and the prequels, and they just get even better with time!
For me, Ewan makes such a great job, that when I thing of Obi-Wan is like Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor are the same person. And, yes, I know that Ewan looks very young for his age (younger than Alec Guinness at the same age for example playing Yevgraf in Doctor Zhivago). I watched the Originals when I was a kid, on Tv, and then the Phantom Menace in the cinema at 12 years old, and I remember that I developed a huge crush on Ewan McGregor that lasts until today. Obi-Wan has always been my favourite character, with Leia and R2, and for me all these moments between little Leia and Obi-Wan have been amazing.
It was such a pleasure to see Ewan on screen as Obi Wan again. Even if I found things about the show that I thought could have been better, it doesn't come close to the positive feeling. That wish come true feeling of seeing him up their wilding a light saber and kicking @ss too. He played him so well. The timid, miserable version. The frightened, but more determined version as he's rescuing Leia. And he just progresses and becomes more determined to not be guided by fear. The ending fight, his aggression, the fall, using the Force blocking those huge rocks from crushing him. He's able to portray fear and strength at the same time, it's quite remarkable. Hayden is great physical actor. I look forward to multiple flashbacks so we can see him again. 6 episodes, did they really think that would do? I wanted Kenobi season 2 yesterday.
When I was about 6 years old my father took me to the cinema for the first ever time and that first movie I ever saw was the Phantom menace :) and that's how I met Ewan McGregor and had been a starwars fan for life since :) Tines like this show coming out and Ewan feeling good about the prequels again makes me so happy about staying true to myself and loving the prequels regardless of what the internet said. :)

The cartoons don't look anything like the live-action characters they're supposed to be. I mean the cartoon Vader looks like a child's drawing, and Anakin looks like a literal square. Best not to think about it.
I consider myself blessed when it comes to finding star wars as a child. I found my love for the galaxy far far away in 2005, just 2 weeks shy of episode 3 dropping. my dad took us to a Walmart after my brothers baseball game and there was a huge massive white tent in the parking lot. I had no idea what it was but I was too curious to not convince my parents to allow us to check it out. inside there were a million toys, a Darth Vader voice changing helmet which I HAD to buy just finding the character for the first time ever.. and an obi wan Hasbro lightsaber which was my first saber ever. there was a million toys and items merchandized for star wars and it instantly made me love the universe because how cool George's designs for every character was in the Skywalker saga. I fell in love with the clone troopers design and everything involving the character's looks and abilities. flash forward 2 weeks and I got to watch episode 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 then 6; which was a 1977 star wars fan's wet dream. I fell in love with George's creation and its been my most beloved story ever since.
This show has managed to be incredibly tense despite the fact that we all know its main characters are perfectly safe. A phenomenal debut and an equally phenomenal Star Wars show overall, thus far!
Saw the first movie in the cinema, in Pontypridd. We’ve loved it ever since. Dad passed away, on May 4th 2019. I know how would have loved, how it’s grown since that first movie.
It’s been 15 years or even longer since Ewan McGregor how to portray Obi-Wan Kenobi and it’s been the same amount of time that Hayden Stepped foot into the shoot of Darth Vader the dark Lord of the Sith
From the child who was 8 years old in 1977, thank you George Lucas, and the entire Star Wars cast. Star Wars has been the one constant good thing in my life, helped this old Jedi recover from many a set back. Always will love Star Wars ALWAYS
I loved that Hayden got a chance to be passionate in his depiction of Vader. Though James Earl Jones again did the voice over, I noted that he followed Hayden’s cadences in the way he talks. That one scene (I won’t spoil it) made me cry a little. It was so very tragic. Hayden pulled it off beautifully. I also liked that you could see Hayden’s dynamic body language through the Vader armor. You knew he was in there…the REAL Darth Vader who was the REAL Anakin Skywalker.
James Earl Jones is credited for the voice work, but it was done through a program called Respeecher. It's why there is more Hayden in this dialogue and also why his voice sounds much cleaner and younger than it did in Rogue One.
It was back in 2005, just a few months before ROTS came out to the cinema. I was 12, I've only watched The Phantom Menace once, but didn't really understand what was it about. Then my sister decided that she wanted to watch all the Star Wars movie just so she can connect the dots for ROTS. She borrowed all the Star Wars DVD from her good friend, and I would join her. That right there was the moment when Star Wars will be a part of me, forever. And during those time, that was how I really bonded with my sister. Knowing the fact that no matter how bad Darth Vader can be and in the end he still has that little bit of good side of him to pull him out of the darkness, will always be the reason for me to never judge people by their cover.
I played The Star Wars Saga game on my iPad and phone, and then my dad made me see Episode 1. Later I saw episode 2 and then episode 3. Then 4,5 and 6 and I am a very big fan.💜💜
One of my former classmates introduced me to Star Wars way back after the original three came out. However, I was one year old when Return of the Jedi came out in 1983 and Raiders of the Lost Ark came out right before I was born.
I was five years old when my parents took me to see "A New Hope" when it first hit theatres. I don't remember much, but I do remember the audience laughing at some of the dialogue like "The force can have a strong impact on the weak minded." and "Will somebody get this walking carpet out of my way?"
Kenobi would have been a great series of they'd have HAD MORE Kenobi and Darth VADER! HOWEVER, it was more about the inquisitors, especially Reva, who, in my opinion was not only not canon but overly dramatized and poorly acted.
Well that explains A LOT to why the Grand Inquisitor turned out to be the way it did. The guy never watched the first season of Rebels to take notes his character's first appearance ....either way. He did okay.
i watch first the originals, then the prequels. as a kid partly clone wars, young adult sequels, solo, rogue one, rebels partly as clips on youtube & then on disney + obi wan kenobi. i am from germany, wrote my own fantacy book & verly like the classic star wars, clone wars, solo, rogue one & obi wan kenobi a lot.
I grew up on the prequel. After that i dig up all the book i could find, watch the whole clone wars series including the animated series. It was fantastic. I named may daughter marajade and jaina. Then the sequels came😆😆😆
I did not grow up with the prequels. But Obi wan, qui gon, palpatine, and even the transformation of anakin in the third were all such bright spots. I don’t know how the actors ever felt poorly about their performances
@@darealpapajon maybe. I mean Jake Lloyd said he was bullied in school over it, presumably those were Millennials. I know Jar Jar didn’t seem well received by anyone my age or older, but most everyone liked Qui Gon and Obi Wan, especially the Maul battle and finally seeing Jedi in their prime. I was much more disappointed by the Boba Fett backstory than anything else lol. And that for some reason Lucas chose an actor so unlike the Bulloch/Wintergreen combo. I know fans have come to love Morrison but it was quite a shock, I can tell you, compared to many of the other backstories that surprised us. This was all before the days of Twitter cancellations and such…. I still don’t get where the actors got so much negative feedback from fans (critics are another story).
Rupert Friend 's Inquisitor was to me, the superior character in this mini series. I would really like to see much more of him in other upcoming Star Wars films/series.
Rupert Friend not watching Rebels-which is canon, to bring his own interpretation to the character is like Kathleen Kennedy saying there were no source materials to reference. Just complete idiocy.
“I wanted to honor the character” so I specifically avoided OG source material. This is why, despite great viewership numbers, Kenobi did not click with the true fans. Speaking of.. wow fuck I wanted to like this. So badly did I want to love it.
Every star wars content is radically different from the other i feel like comparaisons aren't something we fans should do. Mando's got its own style just like this one. Kenobi certainly is where the fun begins. Mando's fantastic as well
And in my honest opinion Moses Ingram and all of the other actors who played the inquisitors brought something really special they brought the added threat that it was an only Darth Vader hunting Jedi dynamite what is the pinion it would’ve been nice if we would’ve seen trailers she Dory the second sister in Kenobi but she was killed five years before Kenobi By the hand of Darth Vader himself
I clicked on "behind the scenes" thinking it'd be a 5 second clip of the "writers" throwing up in a basket , then pulling the "script" out and saying done.
Leia made NO SENSE. She didnt know him in Episode 4. She said, you served my father during the Clone Wars. Another GRAND mistake from the writers who didnt do their research.
I was a kid when a watch the Phantom Menace and I loved it. We used to try to talk talk like the gungans. Now I can't stand Jar Jar and the Pod race. For me the weakest is episode II, no one in love talks like that.
so Ewan got to relearn his voice to get back to character, Hayden had a movement coach to walk like Vader but Rupert Friend decided that it would be OK to just create Grand Inquisitor from the start even tho he is already established character... 🤦
I was 7 or 8 and my dad had brought the original videos before the getting the remakes on video then when I was 9 episode 1 came out so I started watching all episodes from then on
The Grand Inquisitor was the worst character in Kenobi, because the actor refused to do proper research where the character was originated in animation.
Well, my discovery of Star Wars began when I was five years old. For Christmas one year, my great grandparents, Frank and Serena gay, may they rest in peace, sent me a little R2 D2 unit. When you would wind him up, he would roll onto wheels. When he would press down on his dumb head, he would make his little sounds that he makes when talking with C-3PO. I think, at one time, if I recollect correctly, I walked in on my mom watching one of the original trilogy. When I heard Darth Vader's breathing sound, I became fascinated. I don't know what it is about Darth Vader that fascinates me. Perhaps it's the way he breeds, his medical aspects, or something else. I don't know. As for the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, the series was good, but too much WOKE stuff. Having Lea is important, but not in this case. I'm glad Debra ciao directed Obi-Wan Kenobi, but Kathleen Kennedy should not have thrown her political agenda in there. Kathleen Kennedy should not have reworked the Scripps at all. They should've went with the original, and it would've been better. What we got was OK, but some Star Wars fans will like it, and some will not. That's just how it is. Also, I should mention here, that when I was probably 11 or 12, I discovered Star Wars again through something called audio descriptive, or descriptive video. It's really cool. If you wanna know more about descriptive video, just ask.
Yeah the video wall is neat but it's overused and everything just looks cheap after a while. I think they at least went to Joshua Tree for some exteriors.
Wanted to honor the character so doesn’t watch the show so that he can mimic his mannerisms. I was wondering why his voice sounded nothing like the grand inquisitor; this guy pretty much said “I’m gonna do an entirely different character.”
They are constantly taking characters that already exist in order to attract fans, just to completely change them and reject fans. With SW all the time and Amazon does it too. Buying IPs for insane amounts of money just to ruin them.

Vader scene was so good
I loved that Hayden got a chance to be passionate in his depiction of Vader.
I heard rumors they did but kathleen kennedy cut these scenes out.
In 1995-96 my dad show me for the first time A new Hope and since then Star Wars is a part of who I am today
Well that explains A LOT to why the Grand Inquisitor turned out to be the way it did. The guy never watched the first season of Rebels to take notes his character's first appearance ....either way. He did okay.
This show has distroyed Star Wars!
i watch first the originals, then the prequels. as a kid partly clone wars, young adult sequels, solo, rogue one, rebels partly as clips on youtube & then on disney + obi wan kenobi. i am from germany, wrote my own fantacy book & verly like the classic star wars, clone wars, solo, rogue one & obi wan kenobi a lot.
Sooo no one is going to mention at 0:44 that’s (Pedro Pascal) as Mando next to OBI WAN!!???😏😏😏😏
EXACTLY?!?!? Not just mando, Ashoka and Andor?! Wtf is that about?!?
It was an Entertainment Weekly Magazine photo shoot that released th a week before Obi aired. It was about the future of Star Wars in D+
Boomer ot fans bullying the actors
2:20 Can we get all 4 of them in a show together somehow? Can u imagine? Aaaaaahhhh
great pic
we want hayden as vader in a vader series
Rupert Friend 's Inquisitor was to me, the superior character in this mini series. I would really like to see much more of him in other upcoming Star Wars films/series.
I loved the prequel trilogy I was born in 1997 I was grew up watching this
Okay but can we talk about how the grand inquisitor is so FINE
My uncle had the phantom menace disk I saw maul and it looked cool so I put it in the dvd box and the rest was history
Interested how Hayden put on 20 to 30 pounds to play Vader and that the stuntmen were impressed.
Rupert Friend not watching Rebels-which is canon, to bring his own interpretation to the character is like Kathleen Kennedy saying there were no source materials to reference. Just complete idiocy.
EXACTLY! That made me cringe. Oh you don't want to be bothered with being the actual character that you signed up to play?
“I wanted to honor the character” so I specifically avoided OG source material.
This is why, despite great viewership numbers, Kenobi did not click with the true fans. Speaking of.. wow fuck I wanted to like this. So badly did I want to love it.
Sure it doesn't reach Mando peak, but I really love anything to do with the formation of the Galactic Empire when it comes to Star Wars :)
I agree, even though this show definitely passes Mando, I do love me some Kenobi action.
Every star wars content is radically different from the other i feel like comparaisons aren't something we fans should do. Mando's got its own style just like this one.
Kenobi certainly is where the fun begins.
Mando's fantastic as well
loved it!
3:20 ... You gotta be kidding me.
And nobody talks about that the "signature" Vader moves are from the original trilogy's bodybuilder actor in that suit, David Prowse (RIP).
If Ewan McGregor was butt hurt over how the critics panned the prequels I can only imagine how depressed he is now.
Amazing video 👌
And in my honest opinion Moses Ingram and all of the other actors who played the inquisitors brought something really special they brought the added threat that it was an only Darth Vader hunting Jedi dynamite what is the pinion it would’ve been nice if we would’ve seen trailers she Dory the second sister in Kenobi but she was killed five years before Kenobi By the hand of Darth Vader himself
I clicked on "behind the scenes" thinking it'd be a 5 second clip of the "writers" throwing up in a basket , then pulling the "script" out and saying done.
That will be in the directors commentary.
EWAN IS 51!!!! HOLY SH*T
Leia made NO SENSE. She didnt know him in Episode 4. She said, you served my father during the Clone Wars. Another GRAND mistake from the writers who didnt do their research.
6:47 those few seconds were the biggest joke in the entire series.
I know! I hated that!
0:44 THATS MANDO
Rebels Grand Inquisitor: Georgy Zhukov
OWK Grand Inquisitor: Stalin's doufus son.
The prequels were fine , except for episode one , too kiddie for me... Episode two and three was very masterfully done...
I was a kid when a watch the Phantom Menace and I loved it. We used to try to talk talk like the gungans. Now I can't stand Jar Jar and the Pod race. For me the weakest is episode II, no one in love talks like that.
Reva should’ve been introduced in her own show.
so Ewan got to relearn his voice to get back to character, Hayden had a movement coach to walk like Vader but Rupert Friend decided that it would be OK to just create Grand Inquisitor from the start even tho he is already established character... 🤦
Moses 😍😍
Sorry but Tom O'Connell who was the stunt double for Vader in the fight scenes is the real star in the series. Vader was epic!
YEAAA
A true love forever🥰❤️
Ah they finally returned to the goat
May 1977.. Manns Chinese Theater Hollywood changed my life forever as a 9yr old blk kid from L.A.
TBH, I prefer the Grand Inquisitor in this show over the one we saw in Rebels.
I'm great FaN of Star wars trilogy, Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader my favorite IDOL character,, idol, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
my dad got in to it and now ive seen every show
a little shocked by the other actors takes on the work to be honest.
I was 7 or 8 and my dad had brought the original videos before the getting the remakes on video then when I was 9 episode 1 came out so I started watching all episodes from then on
This is so cool, but never cut off a driver, especially on a motorcycle. You can kill someone! I hope she learned to stop doing that!
I miss Alec Guinness.
My mum and dad put it on every year when putting up the Christmas tree
Less goo
We want to see more of Ewan and Hayden. I hope they're planning at least 3 more seasons of Obi- Wan Kenobi.
I heard rumors they did but kathleen kennedy cut these scenes out.
The Grand Inquisitor was the worst character in Kenobi, because the actor refused to do proper research where the character was originated in animation.
Anyone else catch the clip where it’s Obi wan there with Mando, Ashoka and Andor? Wtf ?!?!
for real tho, i saw that and I thought I see it wrong...
It was just an Entertainment Weekly photo shoot featuring the actors from the D+ series.
Hardly behind the scenes, rather a summary of interviews..
How did critics dislike episode 3?
Yeah the video wall is neat but it's overused and everything just looks cheap after a while. I think they at least went to Joshua Tree for some exteriors.
Wanted to honor the character so doesn’t watch the show so that he can mimic his mannerisms. I was wondering why his voice sounded nothing like the grand inquisitor; this guy pretty much said “I’m gonna do an entirely different character.”
that actor made the same mistakes as the writers and producers of the Halo TV Show did
They are constantly taking characters that already exist in order to attract fans, just to completely change them and reject fans. With SW all the time and Amazon does it too. Buying IPs for insane amounts of money just to ruin them.
Best actors but horrible plot
for the love of god do not give moses ingram (3rd sister) her own series on Disney,
He looks like he is becoming brenden fraiser
Why is the mandalorian standing behind kenobi?
I thought the prequels used to much CGI, like to much.
