Tested after SotO Release: Did the same test shown in video with full boons/condis/birthday cake + Relic of the Fractal: 17kdps while still providing 100% quickness Edit: Tested after Janthir release. - Radiant Fire will no longer grant random "freebies" of the Torch 4, and instead just passively buffs it - Mantras no longer need to be manually recharged, Potent haste for example will recharge itself after using all 3 charges. - Build still does similar dps to what it did in Soto (see above) and can easily provide 100% quickness uptime. Still viable if you enjoy it!
Hey just wanted to say thanks for this. I’m new to the game and therefore new to firebrand. I also have MS which has made my hands semi useless so this was exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for thinking of the disabled community
Father has been trying to get back into this game but everytime he does the arthritis in his wrist starts acting up and it prevents him from doing much. Thanks to these builds he can enjoy one of his favorite games once more. Thanks for these builds Muk!
To me personally Muk's guides seem like a godsend, since only 2 months ago I've started experiencing serious wrist pains when playing more than a couple dozens of minutes at a time (which interfered with my raid trainings I finally started to get into). Thanks to these LI builds I can actually still experience that content without being a dead weight, since I can focus almost completely on learning encounters now which means I'm not falling behind better DPS players that get downed due to mechanics :P Also, many of these builds are good enough to make me revisit my other characters once in a while to do various non-hardcore content as well.
Another option for the 3rd trait in the firebrand line, if you take stoic demeanor instead of quickfire your hard cc skills will inflict burning. making axe 3 and sanctuary also do a bunch of damage.
Oooh, this sounds like something for me! I just did an HP farm so I finally trained the firebrand, now I "just" need the correct gear so I can try this out...
Well, I feel like you can still include F1->25412 even if you sit on axe. These builds can often function as a basis to learning class. I'm actually learning qFb right now and while I still need to get used to priorities/rotation, I can see plenty of similarities between this LI build and meta one on Snowcrows. At least with that LI one I can still fullfill my boon support role even when I'm not feeling well enough to go proper rota. As long as my dps is 3-4x that of a healer I'm good :P
TFW you click on a LI guide for your main & it's just the exact build you've been running in raids (just adding in tomes for extra damage/utility) for years...proof it works I guess! I also like Mantra of Liberation for another on-demand stunbreak and source of stability. It's on an ammo system so it can be used more often than SYG, and if you're not as concerned about boon duration (either because you're on your own, it's already covered, or you have a few extra pieces of Ritualist's gear), it can be a really nice "oh sh*t" button. Plus, since you're taking Weighty Terms, it's an additional source of slow. Special shout-out to Advance for similar emergency application of aegis for no cast time, plus it doesn't compete for the elite skill slot.
i dont have shaky hands but rather slow response time... coz i guess im old.. lol but these low intensity builds are really great for my slow paced gamestyle...
I know it's a bit of an old video so I don't know if i'll get a response, but is the 4/2 split between Ritualist's and Viper's a common split for other attribute layouts as well? Like say I wanted to use Celestial's and something like Commander's on a core guardian, would I use 4 of one and 2 of the other? Does it matter which pieces they are, either? Since I know chests and legs have higher attributes than the other pieces
I kinda snuck into a raid with a qfb build I'd never played before. Asked for really quick advice and what I essentially got was "mash your mantras and shout, use anything in tome 1 except 3". That got me to like 24k dps, with permaquickness. I shied away from FB for the longest time, because I really kinda dislike the system of "access your weird tome skills and constantly juggle the 4 button", but just mashing kinda works and provides weirdly high dps. Meanwhile I'm still despairing on the alac thief/condi bs/condiren as to why my dps doesn't go higher than 15k at best, but I'll take babysteps.
I just tried this build, it's such a funny meme build. Mobs go down so quick cause I strike so fast. Fun but I think it will get boring real quick if I just kept at it.
Hi i dont know why but my mantra skills goes long cooldown when you spent all charges, i think its nerfed? you have to wait for like 30 sec or something so what should i do?
Viper gear is fine in solo play. However if you struggle with staying alive you can substitute trailblazer gear. Also condition damage, but trades some damage for more survivability. However viper will be the highest damage output if you can avoid all the red circles.
Can I assume that if I learn to add in a few rotations, the DPS will only go up? I'm new, old, and a bit of a scrub but I've almost mastered the F1 rotation...
BTW about the Ritualist stats armor... Any tips for finding / crafting the items in the game for those who don't have EoD ? (other than just buying them on the market)
Rit trinkets will be fine (remember there's nothing wrong with overcapping quick uptime a bit - maybe even preferable when you need a bit more room for error for any reason). Keep in mind getting rit trinkets is somewhat hard, since you can't choose that prefix on pre-EoD selectable items (except legendaries). MAYBE mist infused stuff works but I wouldn't count on it.
Unfortunately not yet, not even raid and strike ascended gears have the eod stats Although I'm not sure about the TP if you can buy those through that, but I'd imagine those are going to be expensive af
You can buy exotic ritualist gear off the tp (Armor ~20 gold/piece, Weapons 10-30 gold/piece, trinkets 3 gold/piece), ascended pieces are as usual account bound. Stat selectable gear from pre-EOD does not offer Ritualist stats, except Legendary equipment (so just get full leggy gear, can't be that hard right /s)
@@soulsfood5691 If you have about 1k gold to spend, you may want to look into crafting legendaries for profit or even into selling Gifts of Mastery (you get 2 for each 100% core world map completion) that go for 500-700g (can't remember current price). Of course, you can gear up a character in the most expensive prefixes with that amount of gold with plenty left over, so just decide if it's worth it to you .
@@MuklukTH-cam Ah, My bad! I was thinking about what I had on my latest raid encounters, where there was a lot of running and new mobs with no conditions on them etc. I wonder how this build would do on these.
yeah and this is only 5k less dps then what I do doing the full rotation, if you ignore the fact that the full rotation does more damage if you have allies.
Hi, i cant seems to be able to rotate the 100% quickness with the 3 skills u mention. can kindly explain in more detail please? after the first rotate of the 3 skills, i just need to keep using mantra of potence only correct? or do i need to use the other 2 skills whenever they finish their cooldown? sorry for the noob question.
What gear are you looking for? Most of the stuff you can either get from the TP or you can grab Bladed armor from farming Verdant Brink for a little while.
I love these guides, but I'm looking for a guard that has more sustain. Ideally also Low Intensity, decent damage, and, ideally, a core build. Do you have any suggestions? Trying out a million builds is EXPENSIVE, please help!
Are you looking for something you can play solo, open world type stuff? Core condi is good for that - I used it to run through EoD while I was unlocking Willbender. Now, I've been playing condi Willbender in open world with the same gear. You can be extremely tanky with dire/trailblazer gear and balthazar runes, and still put out 10kdps unbuffed. It's the type of build for soloing raid bosses. Firebrand is much better for group play though.
@@lasercat2007 Metabattle has a build listed as "core condition." I'd use geomancy + leeching or smoldering sigils, the 2nd middle trait in virtues "absolute resolve," and bow of truth over the condi signet for a ton of aoe healing. If you want the willbender build, I use the one from Roul's guide on youtube.
The real deal? as in pure dps firebrand w/o quickness? not really no, any other "real" non-boon condi dps class like virtuoso, condimech, scourge even untamed would left you in the dust until only ashes remains. At least qbrand would still give some value even with the lower dps.
As I the primary healer for fractals, I went with Plague Doctor, according to ArcDps I have 100% quickness, 14k DPS and playing with staff and mace/torch or axe/torch. I have noticed the build excels on mobs, especially with staff
If you’re practicing on the golem in LA, there’s a bug that removes any boon not applied by the table, so in order to see your proper boon output, you’ll need to get a buddy to stand next to you.
Because it reapplies your stored configuration for some reason when you have boons from the console In order to benchmark properly, just apply the boons like normal, then spawn the golem and hit it.
