Absolutely love The One EDP, I've had The One for just over a decade, started with the EDT and loved the EDP more when it came out! No flanker has ever been as good. Beautiful fragrance though, even though not the longest lasting but still worth it 👍
It has a fantastic and addictive scent. The only drawback is that it lasts for a very short time. If the longevity was better i would easily pay a double price
D&G The One gets my vote, as you say it can be worn all year round, although I think it's more suited for the Fall/Winter seasons & it's reasonably priced for what you're getting, a very very good designer fragrance. I'd rate it 8.5 - 9 out of 10 as an all-round great fragrance to wear on any occasion.
I LOVE this fragrance! I wear it as a female. It smells unisex to me and I always get lots of compliments. The only problem I have with The One is that its longevity is maybe 2 hours max. It could do better.
I agree it’s a great fragrance. Not sure if you mentioned it but it’s a great first date fragrance. It’s not overpowering and is mass appealing. I also wear YSL La Nuit for the same reason. For a long time I considered the two equal. Lately I’ve been giving a slight nod to the One EDP. I genuinely love La Nuit and it’s hard to put the One EDP above it. That said, today I’m favoring the One. When considering the cost if that’s a major factor for someone the One is the clear winner.
Yeah I know I'm 2 years late to the party... but The One edp is probably my favorite scent. Although Spicebomb Extreme is pretty close. I love that it's not overpowering. I wear it out, I wear it at work, I don't care. It's freaking awesome so I'm going to wear it whenever I feel like!
@@carrianoinvestmentgroup4742 I absolutely prefer Zara Rich Warm Addictive. To me there isn’t a comparison. RWA is just incredible to be, but I love tobacco fragrances. I usually don’t care for sweet fragrances but RWA is a little sweet, tropical and tobacco! I know the fragrance community would frown but I wear it even in the summer ( on days it isn’t to hot ) I do have Vibrant leather as well, and it is great also. It’s very clean, almost feelings of being at a spa. I just love RWA though lol ! It’s great
I recently added D&G edp to my collection... I find it a safe pleasant scent and high quality fragrance that is IMO fits more for day time daily activities more than night outs.
Love the smell of this scent. I should've gotten this one, but I just got ordered Mont Blanc Explorer. I'll get this next payday. Probably get the 150ml bottle. And some quick tips to help this one last. Drink lots of water. Use a high quality moisturizer. Wash your garments. And use a deodorant that isn't too strong, so it won't clash with the fragrance. It might help.
I own this one, but I wear it for date nights/close encounter ocassions mainly. Awesome fragrance in my humble opinion and have received many compliments.👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
I'm going to buy this for my 72 year old father for his birthday this year. He has worn nothing but old spice his whole life, but I think he would really appreciate a scent like this. He is still very youthful in appearance and personality, but the old spice makes him smell...well...old. The One EDP holds onto that classic peppery and woody style while giving it a slight twist of modern freshness with the grapefruit and ginger.
First time I smelled the one (edt) was yesterday, and the first initial smell right after spraying was honestly not super good, but like after 20 minutes I couldn’t stop smelling it, it was so good
I bought a 100 ml bottle yesterday. I read that it is not long-lasting, but the scent is really a masterpiece, so I couldn't leave it. I sprayed myself at midnight as a test and at 11:00 (when I wrote this comment) you can still feel it pleasantly, not just close to the skin. Maybe I'm lucky with my skin, but I think they changed something because several people wrote in many places that it lasts for at least 8 hours.
Hello Chaos, I'm back to this video after buying this fragrances under your recommendation, I bought a 150 ml bottle and it's 100% worth, lasted with me from 8:30 PM till 5:00 AM and that means it lasted about 9 hours on my skin and I'm surprised as you're with all the people who are complaining about it's performance! I've also bought Armani Code Absolu and I'm waiting for your video comparison between it & Profumo
I added it to my wishlist until I read the comments about it's performance, if it has to do something with the chemistry, then I know that it's gonna suck with me
This is probabhly one of the best fragrances ever created until now which is within the budget and not very familiar smelling like others. It still uphold the unique factor until now
The One is aptly named. It exudes class. Dolce & Gabbana have reached their zenith with this release. I would strongly agree with all of his points minus the performance. On me (along with many) at least, it didn't last that long with 3 or so sprays. Maybe a couple of hrs. When I spray 5-6 times, then I notice a difference but still not strong by any means which I guess isn't necessarily a bad thing. But a very pleasing smooth balanced scent. I don't think you need a trained nose to appreciate this one. I can see why it's one of the top choices by many. And it's affordable! Almost half compared to other notable designer fragrances (Dior Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, etc...). I would definitely give this one a try!
I got a 200 ml! I like it, but haven't worn it too many times yet. I was trying out some different Miyake scents. But out of my small collection, I think it's the best! It is quality & long lasting!
I bought the parfum version from Macy's for 100 dollars cuz it smelled so great actually i ditched Sauvage and bought this one but it lasted for only 30 minutes the most and i was like wtf.

I just ordered it online. Can’t wait to wear it. Right now I only have one cologne and that’s Versace Eros and I feel like I need a cologne that will be professional but also can be used for other occasions so I’m happy I went with The One EDP!
@@ezeke99m you may not love it at first. Give it a couple days. Youll start to smell it in its entirety. Its so good. Wearing it right now Thats a good call. Eros isnt appropriate for work. U can go heavy on sprays with The One. I find it works best on clothes not skin. Spray heavy on same spots it lasts longer. I do three on the neck. One or two sprays on each wrist so i can put it up to my nose lol
@@ezeke99m i do not apply anything right before only because i do not want anything to interfere with the scent but ut definitely works better on hydrated skin. I typically enjoy the one better on my clothes anyway. That and nuit de lhomme smell better on my clothes and last a lot longer
I could care less about the performance. At this price I can put it on again and still be under the cost of many of the more recent designer releases. I’ll get to enjoy the top notes again. Spot on with this review.
@Shave a-thon 20 min means you’re probably using a cheap soap that’s drying your skin, you’re in a warm environment or you’ve become anosmic. I and most others get 2-4 hours. Again, it’s inexpensive. If you prefer to spend 5X the money (or more) for 2x time performance, that’s certainly your prerogative.
@@shave-a-thon3415 I’m not denying the performance is bad. What I am saying is 20 minutes is a gross exaggeration and that for the money, it’s a value even if you need multiple applications. I personally like Herod but I’m not repulsed to have it refreshed with a spray of The One or Dark Rebel Rider which isn’t a good performer either but you can get a 4oz bottle for $30.
I think it's good for an event going out for a meal going the cinema and going on holiday It's good for all types of seasons but I think it's a Winter fall brand really

I brought some of my colognes in one day in at work for a co-worker to smell some of them, and once he got his nose on The One, he said this stuff is amazing. I've only used The One out on dates and women do like it a lot. If you're gonna be cuddling up with a girl, this one will make her happy and she'll say, "You smell good."

Thanks a lot for not sticking up so close to the camera and focusing more the fragrance you're reviewing. So ofc I have D&G the One and I love it. Actually it was my first buy, the 150 ml bottle, it's great, it's a must have. The only bad thing about it is the poor performance (5 mby 6 hours). I bought a Perfume Atomiser Bottle to help me out in case I run out of it whenever going somewhere.
i purchased a 5ml EDT when i ordered my Bvlgari Aqua marine (which i love) and i find it to be an incredibly incredible fragrance lol. Ordered a 151ml EDP today
It's fantastic for a small collection, it was one of the first I brought and never regretted it. Almost through it. Would I buy again? Not sure, it does lots really well, but as my collection grows I find I have better ones for specific circumstances
For me, this fragrance behaves in exactly the same way as Bijan for Men. I would spray it on and finish with a spray on either side facing my ears. within an hour the fragrance would change and settle with a scent which was very quickly identified and recognised as my scent. i would have guys coming up to me to say they knew i was in the club because they were able to smell the scent in the air distinct and apart from all the other scents being worn. A massive boost to my confidence when guys would take every opportunity to lean over and engage in conversation despite the loud music seduced by the scent I had deliberately sprayed on the ears. This technique of apply a scent to the ears when attending night clubs and places where conversation consists of speaking close to the ears so you can be heard. I had discovered that spraying on the the wrist etc was waisted in a club but on the ears would put anyone under a spell from the first words they spoke. I did search for many years and bought plenty of other designer scents over the years looking for one that would do what Bijan did, especially during the time when Bijan for men became very scarce and difficult to find here in the UK, from channel to Gucci to experiments with some of the older classics. Only Channel Egoist to a much lesser degree seemed to move in the same direction but coming up short. Despite this it still became my go to scent now that I couldn't find any Bijan. Until that is the day I walked through the fragrance section of Selfridges having just purchased a new T-shirt for a party later that evening when i was offered a spray of D&G the one. Not one for sprays on paper sticks I asked to spray myself as usual and promised to return with my verdict when next in store. The very next day I b-lined for Selfridges and like a mission purchased my first bottle of The One EDP. It was almost 34 hours and the party ended only an hour earlier yet the fragrance was still working its magic. Consistent with other reviews, the sales man who remembered me from the day before was surprised to find that the scent was still on me after 24 hours as in his experience it did not last more than 3 to 4 hours. But for me I had finally found literally The One. It behaved in exactly the same way as Bijan did and then some. Even though I was not the only one wearing this new D&G scent It still managed to become very unique to me by the time I arrived at the party. What finally convinced me to buy my first bottle was when another also wearing the same fragrance was complementing me on my fragrance and wanted to know what it was and not believing my reply. If like me, you have had a hard time finding or replacing a very personal fragrance. I would highly recommend giving this one a try. At the very least you will love the way people would react as they catch this enchanting scent in the air. Soz for the long comment but when something is this good it deserves every word.. P.S. Since finding a new supply of Bijan, my fragrance shelf is dominated by both fragrances. Finally, can I ask you in your expert opinion why in my case and contrary to almost everyone else, does The One stay on my skin and last over 24 hours even after showering and a change of clothes?
My EDT version was one of my favourite scents however went bad with around 20ml left. So I had to pick up the EDP. Smells great the EDT scent was slightly better but still good and both versions perform great on me
Spencer Tracy think I owned it nearly two years but bought it from an online discounter so not sure how it was stored before then. I stored it like all my others on a cool, dark shelf. I checked the batch code and it was 6 years old when it went “off” so maybe that’s why

After 5 minutes of sharpness it's classy and smooth scent. Average longevity and projection. But for me it's typical and little boring men fragrance. Thanks for review
Undoubtedly this scent has a great performance.. The problem that occurs is, it has very little sillage.. Almost a skin scent (i guess thats how date scents are supposed to smell). I love it, i'd however wish to have a similar smelling vibe but wioth a bigger sillage so that I could wear it to clubs..
I think if it had a great silage it would be too good and top 5 fragrances ever 😭😭 This stuff makes females melt lol if it had phenomenal sillage it would just be too op haha
To me this scent is "meh" when you first spray it on, then after a moment or a few minutes it turns into "huh, not bad actually, that's kinda nice", and then the longer it dries down it just develos into "mmm that's actually really warm and cozy". $50 for 100 ml is CRAZY though, here in Sweden 50 ml retail is almost $90! :O

I'm more of a citrus or fresh scents. This is totally diff than my go to every day. But I copped it. Smells good tho

I get about 8 hours with this fragrance I believe a lot of people go nose dumb after the first hour. So the can not gauge the performance.

Thats a good call. Eros isnt appropriate for work. U can go heavy on sprays with The One. I find it works best on clothes not skin. Spray heavy on same spots it lasts longer. I do three on the neck. One or two sprays on each wrist so i can put it up to my nose lol

@@ezeke99m i do not apply anything right before only because i do not want anything to interfere with the scent but ut definitely works better on hydrated skin. I typically enjoy the one better on my clothes anyway. That and nuit de lhomme smell better on my clothes and last a lot longer
The One is on my rotation for fall/winter, and yes I blind bought it. I get 6-8 hours with this one on my skin.

I could care less about the performance. At this price I can put it on again and still be under the cost of many of the more recent designer releases. I’ll get to enjoy the top notes again. Spot on with this review.

20 min means you’re probably using a cheap soap that’s drying your skin, you’re in a warm environment or you’ve become anosmic. I and most others get 2-4 hours. Again, it’s inexpensive. If you prefer to spend 5X the money (or more) for 2x time performance, that’s certainly your prerogative.

I’m not denying the performance is bad. What I am saying is 20 minutes is a gross exaggeration and that for the money, it’s a value even if you need multiple applications. I personally like Herod but I’m not repulsed to have it refreshed with a spray of The One or Dark Rebel Rider which isn’t a good performer either but you can get a 4oz bottle for $30.

I brought some of my colognes in one day in at work for a co-worker to smell some of them, and once he got his nose on The One, he said this stuff is amazing. I've only used The One out on dates and women do like it a lot. If you're gonna be cuddling up with a girl, this one will make her happy and she'll say, "You smell good."
One of the best in case of smell but one if the worst in case of performance. Maximum 2 hours on me... when Kenzo Homme Intense holds for 3-4 days...

Thanks a lot for not sticking up so close to the camera and focusing more the fragrance you're reviewing. So ofc I have D&G the One and I love it. Actually it was my first buy, the 150 ml bottle, it's great, it's a must have. The only bad thing about it is the poor performance (5 mby 6 hours). I bought a Perfume Atomiser Bottle to help me out in case I run out of it whenever going somewhere.
My coworker first impression was that it smells expensive

Smells Great just wish it projected and lasted but it’s subtle enough it’ll work in the heat too and not be overwhelming
It's fantastic for a small collection, it was one of the first I brought and never regretted it. Almost through it. Would I buy again? Not sure, it does lots really well, but as my collection grows I find I have better ones for specific circumstances
What is the best one for winter
For me, this fragrance behaves in exactly the same way as Bijan for Men. I would spray it on and finish with a spray on either side facing my ears. within an hour the fragrance would change and settle with a scent which was very quickly identified and recognised as my scent. i would have guys coming up to me to say they knew i was in the club because they were able to smell the scent in the air distinct and apart from all the other scents being worn. A massive boost to my confidence when guys would take every opportunity to lean over and engage in conversation despite the loud music seduced by the scent I had deliberately sprayed on the ears. This technique of apply a scent to the ears when attending night clubs and places where conversation consists of speaking close to the ears so you can be heard. I had discovered that spraying on the the wrist etc was waisted in a club but on the ears would put anyone under a spell from the first words they spoke.
I did search for many years and bought plenty of other designer scents over the years looking for one that would do what Bijan did, especially during the time when Bijan for men became very scarce and difficult to find here in the UK, from channel to Gucci to experiments with some of the older classics. Only Channel Egoist to a much lesser degree seemed to move in the same direction but coming up short. Despite this it still became my go to scent now that I couldn't find any Bijan. Until that is the day I walked through the fragrance section of Selfridges having just purchased a new T-shirt for a party later that evening when i was offered a spray of D&G the one. Not one for sprays on paper sticks I asked to spray myself as usual and promised to return with my verdict when next in store. The very next day I b-lined for Selfridges and like a mission purchased my first bottle of The One EDP.
It was almost 34 hours and the party ended only an hour earlier yet the fragrance was still working its magic. Consistent with other reviews, the sales man who remembered me from the day before was surprised to find that the scent was still on me after 24 hours as in his experience it did not last more than 3 to 4 hours. But for me I had finally found literally The One. It behaved in exactly the same way as Bijan did and then some. Even though I was not the only one wearing this new D&G scent It still managed to become very unique to me by the time I arrived at the party. What finally convinced me to buy my first bottle was when another also wearing the same fragrance was complementing me on my fragrance and wanted to know what it was and not believing my reply. If like me, you have had a hard time finding or replacing a very personal fragrance. I would highly recommend giving this one a try. At the very least you will love the way people would react as they catch this enchanting scent in the air. Soz for the long comment but when something is this good it deserves every word.. P.S. Since finding a new supply of Bijan, my fragrance shelf is dominated by both fragrances. Finally, can I ask you in your expert opinion why in my case and contrary to almost everyone else, does The One stay on my skin and last over 24 hours even after showering and a change of clothes?
My EDT version was one of my favourite scents however went bad with around 20ml left. So I had to pick up the EDP. Smells great the EDT scent was slightly better but still good and both versions perform great on me
Spencer Tracy think I owned it nearly two years but bought it from an online discounter so not sure how it was stored before then. I stored it like all my others on a cool, dark shelf. I checked the batch code and it was 6 years old when it went “off” so maybe that’s why

It’s a pleasant fragrance for fall nights. The Royal Night version seems to hit the spot just right in terms of projection and longevity.

Undoubtedly this scent has a great performance.. The problem that occurs is, it has very little sillage.. Almost a skin scent (i guess thats how date scents are supposed to smell). I love it, i'd however wish to have a similar smelling vibe but wioth a bigger sillage so that I could wear it to clubs..

To me this scent is "meh" when you first spray it on, then after a moment or a few minutes it turns into "huh, not bad actually, that's kinda nice", and then the longer it dries down it just develos into "mmm that's actually really warm and cozy".
$50 for 100 ml is CRAZY though, here in Sweden 50 ml retail is almost $90! :O
