Alex has gotten MUCH more comfortable in his own skin in the last 12-18 months. Prior to this, he was always so awkward and geeky in interviews. Katie's definitely given him the confidence boost, and maybe she's even responsible for him doing so well on the court right now!

That's actually kind of normal after a big win she had in San Diego. A 500 tournament win is a big deal. She had to mentally get back up for one of the biggest tournaments on the tour within a matter of 48 hours. That's a difficult ask for even the most elite players. The loss in the first round is not surprising but now she can relax a little bit and really enjoy her San Diego win.

For me players like Katie who are extremely talented lack in the decision making dept on court .
If I was her coach I'd sit with her and discuss in detail poor shot selection she made viewing matches against high ranked players . I've seen too many incorrect shot choices at the wrong time , I've seen her placing the ball in an area where her opponent can easily win the point from , I've seen her feed the strengths of her opponent instead of minimising them
She's tall and athletic so why isn't she coming in more or either clever approach shots or drop shots
I fell she can be much better and get deeper into tournaments by playing tennis in a chess like mentality

I think they look like a real couple. I've seen some other couples that they want us to believe are real, and it seemed unlikely to me. For example, a big 6' female tennis player with Stan the Man. That was all nonsense. Then they put her with an ex male model who seems gay and claimed they met in Central Park. That is unlikely .
