I own this watch in my collection, and it's ridiculously good. I often wear it to work over the Speedmaster Omega. This is light, and has sapphire back and front, bulletproof movement. And looks absolutely stunning
@@XHobbiesPrime if Omega were to release this as an Omega model the price would triple maybe even quadruple it :). But, yes the quality is top notch, it runs a workhorse grade movement and its not decorsted but everything else is amazing and outshines a lot of swiss models
@@MagicsRevealed4You Seiko is positioning the 6r15 as an upscale movement I think. If you look none of their affordable models even some of the very nice looking Presage models only have the 4r movement. 4r is their new workhorse.
i am considering buying this watch, but the fact that the 6r15 movement is a relatively cheap movement has put me off for now. Is this movement really that bad?
This is by far one of the best - and I mean, THE BEST watch coverage I have even seen. You covered all grounds there is to be covered. I particularly love the 'blackout' test and lighting test. Amazing. Dude - you gotta do more of this for the betterment of the watch community. Absolutely brilliant! Keep it up!
Years after this video and a few days back from the present, I pulled the trigger and ordered this watch to pair with my Seiko Black Sharp Edge. I can't wait for it to arrive.
I have the 057, that was mentioned. Drop dead beautiful pieces. In my opinion, nobody on planet rates with Seiko in their price range. The 055 is one that I’d love to have next to my 057. I shouldn’t watch these, because my mind starts to do the numbers. Seiko rules.
They really knocked this one out of the park I think. I think you get a great value for your money. How much would a swiss watch of that quality cost? Actually which swiss watch has similar qualities? Which one competes best against this?
I wonder if they did base the dial on washi paper, good observation. I really wanted the Snowflake but the lug to lug is too much. This would be a great alternative for not much money.
Nice video. I agree, it is probably not heat treat second hand. Close up show thin coloration on the corners and deeper on the flat surface. Heat treatment would make it completly consistent blue throughout.
Two things bother me with this piece; No screw pins on the bracelet and the movement being only 6 ticks a second. But, I still decided to order one and use it long term.
No screw pins is because it's Titanium and would have a very real possibility of striping the threads it's not cost cutting even the big brother of this has push pins
What this watch doesn't having going for it is that movement in it. They're charging over $1000 for it, they might as well spend the couple extra bucks to regulate the time better and get a better movement.
Do you think that the black one is casual enough to wear with shorts and a black T-shirt and some sandals? Do you think that it is as casual as a Rolex Explorer? Can it be warm the same way
If it could be had for about 7 or 8 hundred I would run out and by it. At the AD near me in thailand it retail for 2k US which is way to much even with 20 percent discount. You can get some pretty good second hand pieces for that kind of money.
Awesome watch. Only thing holding me back buying this is the titanium. I just do not know how the titanium will look after a few years. Can you polish scratches out and will the titanium turn grey over years use.
Sands 1985 not a good idea to settle on a watch when you're considering another one. But there are a lot of different models in the cocktail line. I've personally owned the SARB033 and SARB035, but will be skipping the cocktail line and jump to this.
Spokes on the escape wheel change with beat frequencies, but the whole train will run at the same rate, beat frequencies and power reserves are not as hand-in-glove as people mistakes it for. That's a nice watch, too bad they had to ruin it all with a titanium case.
The decoration on the movement looks better than the decoration in the pictures on Seiya Japan's website... What's up with that? Or am I seeing things...
The finishing of the 6R movement is pretty nice because the metal plates are solid and thick (unlike the 7s movement) and the brushing on the movement plates are consistent and all looks like a smooth industrial look.

@@lucvandriel2408 I have never heard anything bad about the movement. The next grade above this one are the Grand Seiko movements.
I received this exact watch today... one of my happiest days in my life. I'm new to this hobby and I'm enjoying every automatic second.

Thanks Luke! I really appreciate the amazing feedback
THANK YOU for the lug to lug!!!
The watch is just beautiful with the dial being the star of the show, soooo good looking!!

I enjoy your reviews.! Thank you for taking wrist shots. Having a larger wrist myself, your vids help me decide if a watch is the right size for me.
I have been waiting for this once ever since you posted the watch on instagram. :)
On my must have list, at some point...
i hope you got it
I went with the black dialed version the 057 and it’s a real stunner
Very nice watch! Thanks for the video!
I'm still gonna keep saving for the Grand seiko snowflake, I need it in my life xD

I got the 057 also
It’s sublime
Thanks for the review...awesome watch!

Probably a seamaster aqua terra. Minus the Titanium, plus the movement. It's easily over 3k

All time favorite Seiko, 055🤩
would be even better if the lug to lug measurement could be included in the opening stats page
spookyspoots couldn’t agree more. It’s just as important a measurement as the case diameter
Thank you, fantastic and very informative video!
I've been coveting this since the first time I saw it. I just can't justify paying that much when I have five other Seikos... But I still want it! :p
This and the 057 justify themselves as soon as you get it

It'd be nice if Seiko can make a steel 38mm version and the washi paper dial.
killer looking watch, will it fit on my 8.5in.wrist,my question,,
amazing video. thank you!
how match your hand? Great watch and video!

Wolf DNA I'd say yes, since the black version has a matte dial, thanks.

For 2k USD I think that might be the limited version with the high beat thinner movement in stainless steel.

I have a 6.3 inches wrist and I am want to buy this watch, yet I am afraid that it’s too big for my small wrist, what do you think?
tough to say, sorry
Cocktail or this? Should I just save for this one or settle for the Cocktail?

Am selling a Movado Extreme automatic to fund this. I think it worth it. Hopefully I will be able to find one when the watch sells.

this is the best titanium case on the market, the finishing is impeccable...
Isn't this watch titanium?
Ross Taylor it is, just a typo in the intro
Average Bros cool...i thought it must have been. I realised after, that you mentioned it was titanium in the video.
Keep up the great content 😉🖒

its got geneve stripes on the rotor, but nothing else. It's nice, but not amazing

Is it worth buying this watch?? Not accuracy like rolex no shock resistant like omega
Vinay Nagdev not so expensive either
yes buy it straight away
