As an avid Kitboga, Hoax Hotel and Jim Browning viewer, the cognitive dissonance among these scammers is very real. Some of them convince themselves that what they're doing is OK. It's as if they think the people they're stealing from aren't real people, or that they deserve it somehow.... But the moment it's turned around on them, it's the greatest "sin"

My first thoughts went to those videos too. Some of the scammers actually yell at the people who they are scamming that they want "their" money. And to stop pretending to redeem the gift cards because it's stealing from the scammer. Totally surreal to listen to their logic and meltdowns.

Self awareness is underrated. It seems that it is becoming rare as time goes on. I look around and see shocking levels of hypocrisy every day. I don't understand how people don't see it, but they don't. Cognitive dissonance is a powerful thing.

As someone who's been in the streets, it's an unwritten rule that you don't rat out anyone, not even your worst enemy. If you get caught, you take your charge like a G and do your time. After all, you knew the risks before you chose this life. People usually turn because the prosecutors will offer you a deal if you tell on your partners.
However, very few people actually live by that rule. This is especially so with white collar criminals. They'll turn on each other and tell in a heartbeat.

Hushpuppi claimed to be Abba Kyari's "boy". By boy he means crony. Abba Kyari's was intially touted to be a NIGERIAN SUPER COP.
Some f*king super cop he turned out to be. He intially had a Facebook account detailing a whole list of lies surrounding his relationship with hushpuppi. He claimed to have simply linked Hushpuppi to his personal tailor. 😂
He has since deleted the post.

As far as I can imagine, only a small fraction of fake gurus/scammers are full-on psychopaths or sociopaths. The rest just kinda accidentally developed into assholes.
