I’ve used it twice. The first time no problems and paid every payment on time , used it again same thing paid everything on time and even paid my last payment a week early, just tried to use a 3rd time it gave the option for it then said something went wrong so re loaded the page and now the option for pay in 4 doesn’t show up anymore anywhere

So if I do a pay in 4 on a $600 purchase. That's 4 equal payments of $150 for a total of $600 correct? No sneaky high interest rates that tag on an additional $200 for a total of $800?
How is this not a line of credit? Do they pull your credit report and does this show up in your credit report?
Update: So basically if you use this, it does show up in your credit report. So if you apply for a mortgage lets say, bank will look at it and they will see all these pay in 4s. Bank will question. You can't afford a $150 purchase how can you make mortgage payments. No thank you PayPal.

I think you forgot to mention it authorizes the full amount on your CC at execution and PayPal refunds the 3 payments back in 2 days. You have to have the whole amt available

So you need to have the total amount when you make the purchase and they return the rest to you later? Because now the Pay in 4 option does not appear, or does it mean that it is no longer available?
@@miguelrosario722 i think they fixed it. yes, before you had to get pre-authorized for the entire amount and then a day later it would adjust correctly and only one payment would post. Lately though i've been getting it approved without the entire amount pre-authorizing. Hopefully it stays that way. I use it a lot

It’s always returned the way it’s paid in any transaction. PayPal PAYS the balance then you owe PayPal.

So I did this and it froze on the last screen and now all it says is authorization pending its also pending in my bank statements but no idea if item bought is approved or not. I feel like it got stuck in limbo

@shadowsluck4667 It froze on me and it was my phone. So the order didn't go through couple days later I got my money back and re did it. Been using it a couple times. Awesome form of payment. Recommend it.

Give it time to clear. Depending on your bank, it can take up to 2 days. PayPal will then send you an email confirmation that it went through.
But can apply a discount code at the end of the paypal 4 payments? I dont want to pay in full if i have a discount code. Is the discount code bar option at the very end like when it is when ur paying in full?

Seems in the states is different. Because In the UK paypal does affect your credit score (Not because of the credit check)

PAYPAL tells me that NOT all MERCHANTS accept ALL options within PAYPAL. So then , why would merchant place a PAYPAL BUTTON at checkout ? Also, PAYPAL does NOT guarantee MERCHANT will get paid !! LOL..NUTZ!

Does seller receive payment in full at once or is it received in four separate payments? Is this option automatically available to all sellers that accept paypal or is it a separate option that they either agree to (or not) as a seller when they establish as a paypal seller.
I recently spoke with a seller/manufacturer of musical instruments in Russia that stated he was not familiar with pay in four while a different seller also in Russia does allow that option. Hoping to make purchase using this method.

It Depends On The Company You Are Using It With, They Will Let You Have The Option To Use Your Balance or If You Prefer It You Reguest To Use Balance First, But The Company Agrees To That With PayPal As A Option, it is available for the company not PayPal. The company itself decides if they're gonna offer you the choice between paying for it with the balance of what's available on your PayPal account. But you would know that in the very beginning. Before you place the order before checking which one it is you want to do. Hopefully That Makes Sense To You & Answered Your Question As Well*

Log into your PayPal account. Go to “wallet”, then you should see a “pay in 4” tab. It will show all of your current and completed plans.
They do ask for my SSN and annual income

@@bigjuslaflare I had to pay the first payment again. But I got refunded from the glitched first payment not long after in a week. Then I pay the next 3 as Scheduled. my order was not canceled through.

Just use PayPal to checkout on eBay, then it will route you PayPal. It should then give you an option for Pay in 4.

This sounds a bit too risky for me I just used the 3 payments thing but never again because I don’t want a bad credit score and it’s hard to reach someone when there’s an error
It doesn't affect your credit. I just turn 18 and don't have credit history and I was 2 payments behind and when I completed the payment nothing major happen. It's risk free.
