I was just playing with this on the 869 and it seems you dont have to hold "hold" on power up for that model. great video thanks.

Is it possible to set it up to update data list sheet only on value change instead of constant interval to save some memory like in UNI-T software?

Nice presentation, I was hoping to see some comparison between DMM PC software (for instance Fluke 289 vs TBM251 vs UT81b ).
PS. dose the CSV (Coma Separated Values) allow you to copy each of the data columns independently (i.e. time column alone, data column alone,..).

The reason the data logging times out is the BM251 does not have the phototransistor inside that enables the computer to turn on data logging remotely. I assume other models have this, probably left off on this one to cut BOM cost. Would have been nice to have had this in the help file though, easy enough to add to it in a newer version of the software, and they could include links to the manuals there as well to make it easier.

The instructions for setting the meter to data transmit mode really is hidden. You find the PDF that's in the installation directory for your specific meter. Setting the data transmit mode for the Brymen is the same as the Greenlee DM-210A.
