I told my girlfriend this is one event I dont want to miss. Being a dad of 5 girls and 1 boy I asked my best friend (ole-lady) if we could have grandma watch the kids and go this year. Of course she said yes! If everything falls intoplace we will see you guys this year!

Watching Jeff’s podcasts with various people always makes me appreciate how humble he is.
Brown County being out local track I hope we can have a few bracket races to enjoy the local track.
A lot of us cant compete or Addie the war in the woods buy in. But we always try to spectate it. Amazing amount of work is put into that race to make it something unlike any other.
With every podcast I find someone new to check out
What a incredible podcast! Ive looked at going to that race for years and never out together its right by Bill Monroes. Been to a few Bluegrass festivals there! Hope to make it this year!
Jeremy wagler is top notch Couldn’t ask for a better guy. Down to earth man that takes time to make his rounds and talk to all the racers to make sure he’s doing his very best at running an event. He’s a solid guy 💯

I still remember the first no prep race i ever attended. 2020 salem airport, fully expecting some beat up primered foxbodies and s10s. I walk up the hill into the gate and the first thing i see is a jet black nova with gold wheels, polished bullhorns and purple headlights. Most gangster shit i had ever seen. It’s cool to think that guy ended up putting on the super bowl of no prep races lol.

What a cool guy, I work on stuff laying in dirt to do things. Just maintenance. He is the guy we all need to look up to!
This guy has shown you can do a lot with a little. This is probably one of the most successful events in the country right now!

I remember racing Pit Bikes and slamming beers at Jeff's Backyard motocross track in Waverly on weekends 20+ yrs ago, his backyard would be packed with grown guys on little bikes, we banged elbows up and down that hill, and it was honestly more fun than racing motocross.. Didn't know he purchased the track.. Look forward to seeing how it continues to grow as the Greatest Outlaw Track in the Midwest, I Made my first ever pass on a real strip at that track in my Fox Body back in 1996.. He built some of the coolest Nitro Hill Climb bikes, I'm only 42 and can say everyone around here looked up to all his bad ass toys he always had..

Those small tracks in the middle of nowhere are a really cool thing to see here in the midwest.. it's a shame that there's not more people going to these small 1/8th mile tracks and putting on a spring and fall no prep race.. I live in Illinois and know of a couple 1/8th mile tracks that are bracket use but are barely hanging on and it would really make a difference in assuming that these tracks are around for future generations
I have been to many different types of racing events nhra monster jam every yr for over 6 yrs cuz my neighbor was tom meents been to NASCAR motor cross all kinds of different events but the absolute best event of my life was war in the woods brown county I slept at the track in my car all weekend long to be there and it was amazing made new friends met amazing ppl ate damn good food and watched the best racing I've ever seen in the most beautiful setting I've ever seen. Jeff and his crew put on the best event I've ever been to in my 33 yrs of life.
The most injured I have ever been was at the pitbike track at Jeff’s house 🤣

As a spectator and someone getting back into the sport , one thing I always like is when there’s a lot of vendors, back in the day like a super Chevy show you could walk the pits and check out the latest and greatest products

I left last fall after swampthing wrecked because i was having an heart attack drank 3 millers and took BC powders drove home 6 hours to local to me hostpital heart surgery stints Afib rehabbing built a camper from a cargo trailer trying to recover cant wait until may going up a day early to take things a lil slower cant wait!
Second track I ever raced at was Brown Co. Way back in 1988.

If I'm not mistaken, Brad Wedan put on the first war in the woods many years ago. Then couldn't promote it anymore so Nick took it over. I might be wrong but that's how I remember it.
@@michaelcummings1862 Brad had his own street race before WitW's. Actually he had 2 a year. One in the spring and one in the fall. The fall race was the best and it was always at night. They called it the "Black Hole" because it was so dark at the end of the track. He and Sandy had a falling out and Brad moved his events to Muncie. It was shortly after this when Nick started WitW's.

Tell Jeff to get ahold of Weinle family from edgewater. I knew at one time they had a ton of aluminum bleachers for sale from that dirt track they started and wasn’t able to finish. Would be perfect to give more/better seating. That was hardest thing as spectator bringing my dad was trying to find a seat getting there at almost dark
Would be cool to build some luxury tree houses to watch from too!!
I thought about bringing our tree stands and set them up on the bank so your up above everyone.

war in the woods is the baddest race out there, but the comment about oh theres guys that want to show up and know ur going to lose thats great no its not!!!! sm tire racing is nothing but a big money race class now and thats exactly what kills classes. example look at src latest video with tsr, there was literally 5 cars and shit for people in the stands!!!! at cincy . this class was supposed to be meant for the guys who cant afford a 100,000 car to go race no prep sm tire, something has got to change or this will die also!!!!!

I really liked no prep years ago, as far back as the KOTS races, but some aspects of the the evolution of no prep have kinda caused me to lose interest, but I have to admit watching this interview makes me want to go to war in the woods, it sounds like a really fun event…
