I got my "spaces" mixed up. The one I tested is what they called Space Gray and that will no longer be made. Going forward the silver or space black will be available. Thanks to @Shift204 for the help clarifying.
Haha they just need to make a special priced two pack of T30s, and we can throw in whatever Thermalright heatsink that fits. The fact that this air cooler combo is working this well at a moderate RPM with the 9900X is mind boggling.
@@MachinesMore I just reviewed the D12L in the M2 and I wish the T-30s fit. I think in the sea of liquid coolers, it’s nice to see so many budget air coolers stepping up and improving. Notably I wasn’t a big fan of air cooling but the M2 turned me into a small fan.
@ They’re pretty good. It really depends on the case you’re using. Quite a tight fit in the M2, but it works, and you’ll have a quite dense system. You can get similar performance with other fans, but you have the luxury of running lower RPMs with the T-30s.
I wouldn’t reward W360 at all. M2 is a stolen case and a year long iteration of the M1Evo. It’s amazing how two SFF TH-camrs are so cozy with that unethical person.
thx for the informative video. is there any other options to mount the sfxl psu? would like to mount it so that the cables facing the side panel. and is it possible to use it on classic config?
Is it possible to unscrew the top and bottom panels to remove them and switch them if you wanted it to be a traditional setup rather than an inverted one?
Oh my god I just found Your channel recently and I love the way everything is presented and professional but also fun way! Hope this channel gets tons of followers! Interesting case, especially for mac fans. But why are the front usb ports not indicated which one is the faster and which one is the slower port? 😂 Also wouldn't it work with 2 smaller fans on the front as intake, 1 blowing into the cpu cooler and one blowing into the gpu? Or just 1 blowing into the cpu cooler and let the gpu suck air from the top?
The Space Gray is discontinued. Deep Space Black is the replacement. There was only a very limited run of the S 4.0 Space Gray! Amazing case, clearly aiming for the high end of the market!
This, thanks for the note. I got my "spaces" mixed up. The one I tested is what they called Space Gray and that will no longer be made. Going forward the silver or space black will be available.
The front vented panel is a big deal. The Louqe does have more cooler clearance but my take is if you can cool a 9900X with this performance this good, I would rather take the mATX compatibility than be able to fit a D15. Of course, Apollo S is priced much steeper than the R1.
What are the "cons" of not having access to the PSU'a On/Off switch? Does the Micorsoft "Shut Down" software switch turn the PSU off? I'm hoping the only "con" is not being able to turn the PSU off during maintenance. I shut down my current laptop every evening.
@@HS-tj2qp I watched it at 1.75x speed as it's pretty much a 20min video. Lowkey kinda focused on how nice the case was that the supported length blipped by too fast, I did find it though with the link in the description which is 345mm for anyone else wondering.
Isn't it better to have the airflow in the other direction, also because the GPU exhausts down the left side of your build? I imagine you'd be blowing hot air into the CPU heatsink?
You would be, however I mentioned the following considerations: 1) some users would prefer the hot air not exhaust out the front of the case directed at them and 2) the front intake does mitigate the penalty. If this were an FE card I would not recommend the airflow like that. The ventilation is good enough in the case that you can prioritize practicality over the smaller performance penalty.
Yep that price in bonkers. But lovely case. Maybe 250 , and inverted assembly don’t agree too much with me. But apparently is necessary for this a case.
Given that it's biased towards aesthetics, it does the job well enough. Trying to do a triple rad setup in a case like this seems pointless and misses the point of the case.
@carlover4239 fuck you talking about? I got 3 rads in the formdT1, YOU clearly don't understand SFF and fitting the most components into the smallest space possible.

Diminishing returns at work here. For most folks my opinion is the M2 will be enough and does more, I would recommend the McPrue if and only if someone is after the utmost tolerances.

It’s seriously the best. Watch every video he drops.
"What even is a mcprue?" Optimum tech lmao
Weird Cheese flex but I'm here for it
This has to be the absolute best looking SFF case, bar none.

Beautiful case but Holy crap that price is eye watering 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, it's up there!
Thats alot of money for not alot of case 🥲. Ncase m2 feels like a much better deal by a mile
My thoughts exactly. The last mile of quality is exponentially more expensive.

Are your fans inverted? The logo side of the fan is configured as intake for your build. Isn't that normally exhaust?? Am I going crazy?
They're reverse orientation fans. So the "frame" side is the intake side.
Silver looks best for this style IMO

would the 9900x be fine with a 5070 ti or should i get like a 7800x3d
Two different purposes there, if you need the multi core performance then 9900X for sure. 7800X3D would be mainly gaming use.
how many times does the formd t1 have to dominate before people realize its the end all be all mini itx case
any case which have same dimensions but not as expensive?
Ncase M2 is similar. You can even do an inverted build in it

You can actually access it if you take the bottom mesh off and leave it off. Otherwise, you could just unplug it would be the next easiest solution.
T30s are 120mm um did you at least go for some 140s?
For the cooler fans? 140 won't fit in the case with this heatsink
May I ask what length of GPU this case can fit? edit: 345mm

Going to try that. The airflow being reversed will likely be safer given the heavy flow-through.

It's small scale CNC. It will never be $250.
inverted is nice for GPU temps, even if you don't use additional top intake fans.
