I never felt like the power supply was a problem from the noise perspective. It’s always the GPU or the CPU cooler with fans ramping up under load. PSU fans spin at low rpm which barely contributes any noise. Even though cool, this is largely a gimmick unless you go full passive on everything.
How does the D12 handle cooling the 7800x3D. I really like the set up of this build and want to make sure details before I pull the trigger on a CPU cooler like that. Unless you have another suggestion.
Any possibility of a comparison of the M2 with newly released Antec Performance 1M, subjectively the Antec looks better but not sure how it performs vs the M2, will be great to see your take on it.
Probably you could achieve the same with semi passive 1000W PSU. You probably would not reach the threshold when it will spin up the fan, but you would have a safety of the fan cooling.
so far the newer corsair psus really didnt perform as expceted. espescially the rme and rmx line have bad fan and coil whine. I havent heard or tested the sf1000 yet though. I think for ITX 750W is the Sweet spot anyway.
@@syriangamer89 it was mistake from cybenetics, they published wrong graphs at first. now that they have real data, sf1000 is a bit better than sf750 noise-wise. it's not night and day difference but it's still better and it's silent with my 7700+4080super system
I had asked them about it- that one is a concept only and they didn't have any plans to produce it (yet). Go for the P1, it's a great one. I have a build for it coming up soon!
I would love some advice. I find my self needing to travel a fair bit, both by road and air. I dislike laptops and so I need to build a travel pc i can fit in carry on luggage. I'm think i will pay to have high end foam cut to measure inside the case. Do you have a suggestion for which case would be best. Im mostly focused on strength to protect components and i prefer air cooling. Is there a case that stands out to you for build quality?
I also build my PC around the PSU because in SFF it can be the loudest component. I was using the Silverstone 450W Nightjar SFX-L fanless unit with my 7800x3d and a 4070, but when I upgraded to a 7900xt the 450W tripped OC protection. I tried a few SFX and L units and all were too loud. Settled on the newer Corsair SF1000 SFX which is inaudible at 400W I'm running at but has the current headroom for transient spikes.
I have a Corsair 1000D with (4) 480mm radiators massive reservoir and idk 20+ phanteks T30s, 1600W titanium PSU, etc and even though i can run the fans at low rpm and never have really any fan curve because my liquid temps remain low, its still audible. So Im moving it on the custom cart i built for it into the adjacent room and am just going to pass all my cabling through the wall. It also wont heat up the room Im in. I had to have another duct brought into my PC room to counter the heat.
Yes, with the caveat that you can't fine tune the board position unlike with ITX, so the top fan viability will depend on your board heatsinks and cooler choice.
Indeed, I noticed that right now on Amazon. I recall CM's own pricing was different but they're OOS now. Maybe the market price is fluctuating based on that. Either way it's a pricey piece of kit!
I'm not sure if would do this. Nothing worng with it, would just use a SFX. But absolutely brilliant build, also like the idea of the passive power supply.
Bought a Ncase M2 grater and sold it the next week. That thing is built like garbage for being their most premium case. Those steel side panels should be illegal cause they're so prone to bending and you have to reshape them to fit somewhat flush with the front and rear panels. Mine also had a scratch in the front panel from the factory. Whoever is currently tooling their cases should be fired. NCASE solution to me was like a 5 dollar refund (wtf). I was hoping they'd RMA the front panel since it's the premium one that I paid for. Back to the Formd T1 V2.1 it is. Never doing business with ncase again. The glory days of the M1 are over.
Is this the REAL smallest MATX case on the market ? I love it ! I wanna build something like this, but I am scared of the price of the case :( Does somebody make something this small ( and yes, I also mean this short, this hight ) but cheaper ? My components inside will be 65W TDP CPU and 150W GPU, so you know where I am aiming - my components are cheap ( but sufficient for my demands ), so I wanna adequate case for adequate price.
Yeh I see no benefit but all the compromises especially with the size of GPU you can use. You're spending this much money building in this case you might as well use the best on the market right now and just get a Corsair SF750/850/1000 and be done. You know it will just work without any compromises. Why would you want a stick such a large PSU in a compact ITX build is beyond me. Who cares if it's passive, it's not like the SF units wiht their fans are loud anyway. Companies waste some much time, research and money releases unneeded products like these when they could be spending those recourses on things user actually want and need. This PSU is not one of them sorry.
It would be cool to see this PSU in the 168mm wide ncase they are possibly making along with the NH-P1 passive CPU cooler.

EXACTLY!!!! Well said. This PSU is just a waste and trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist today.
Yeah, I never heard any of my psu fans. Only when I set one to 100% could I hear it.
you will hear the psu fan in custom loop builds. I think that is where this will shine.
How does having 2 top fans instead of 1 affect gpu , cpu temps in this build, an answer would be highly appreciated

just get sf1000 if you want silent psu though, but good job showcasing capabilities of this case
Sf750 is actually better

Yup that can absolutely work too as long as you draw lower than 400W.
Could you please check if using a 170mm ATX PSU, I can use a GPU with more than 270mm? Maybe using a MB that has the PCI-E slot in the 2nd position?
i'll come back to this beautiful PSU probably 5 years from now. its too OP
For $500 should i get a butler to do this? Could get a HDPLEX with similar power for less
hi do you also have the new passive cpu cooler? i dont know if i should wait for that or get the nh p1

I was 100% on board untill I heard the price… 💀
Hi, I also have an ATX PSU and a mATX mobo. Would I be able to fit a 240mm aio and bottom intake fans with a 2.5slot gpu in this case?

Sounds good! You're almost always going to be at the quiet end of things with the 1000W!
Dude if your PSU is loud, get a decently made one then like a Corsair SF series. Stop trying to penny pinch buying cheap PSU's.

how much was this build?
SF1000 - Zero RPM up to 400W load €230 > X Silent Edge €550
What's the point? There will always be noise sound from the CPU GPU fans no matter how client this PSU is.
will this be possible with mATX motherboard ?
Yes, with the caveat that you can't fine tune the board position unlike with ITX, so the top fan viability will depend on your board heatsinks and cooler choice.
@@MachinesMore and mATX, ATX psu and a WC240? 😬
Can You fit this power supply on the top instead of funs ?
As in attach it to the fan plate up top?
@@MachinesMore(Yes) Will it fit at the top if I give up one fan? Would this interfere with a micro-atx board?
Nice built. From the vid it looked like you could add one or two slim fans on the bottom. Do you think it will help the thermal for both GPU and CPU?
damn. i dont think i can get this with my current GPU :(
It's definitely more restrictive. 160mm ATX will have fewer length restrictions, though the cabling will still interfere.
It's $549 actually

It’s very ecellent PC building, Bro!!
🤑🤑🤑
haha, darn chipset fans on so many AM5 itx boards are such a bummer!
Thankfully under normal use the X870 I one is fairly quiet.
Makes it all too tempting
Как правило шум от блока питания, это не шум вентилятора. А писк и треск дросселей. Вот это реально бесит. )
There is actually 0 reason why you put a full atm psu in an sff case, just pure stupid imo!

That's not good. I've purchased 3 x M2 grater cases with the CNC side panel option and all were perfect. 1 black and 2 silver.
3 likes in 4 minutes? Bro fell off
