He's probably reunited with his old work buddy Ron Stone in heaven. RIP Doug Johnson. Thanks for your weather reports all them years.
Had no clue that Doug had passed so recently. RIP, Doug, thanks for the laughs and say hello to Ron for us.
I grew up watching Ron and Doug. Great years. Feels like home again watching these clips.
I remember Doug's last broadcast it was on my 22nd birthday on December 30, 1994.
New Doug from Immanuel Lutheran Elementary, Hamilton Jr. and Reagan High Schools. He was quite a character and a good friend. RIP Douglas!Jim Reeves
Great clip at 3:04 giving us an early-'70s news set with Doug, Larry Rasco, and Bill Enis. We need more of those on TH-cam.
He was my favorite weather man.
God I miss both Doug and Ron! You did good Doug! Houston will always Love You!!!
When I lived in Houston, I remember Ron Stone, Doug Johnson, Steve Smith, Jan Carson, Linda Lorelle. When I worked for Harris County I was in the elevator with Marvin Zindler, he was very quiet and reserved.
I knew his daughter, Dara. Went over to their home many moons ago. He was so beloved in Houston. May he RIP.
