    "If there is one country, or people, to figure it out, my money is on the Israelis." Well said, Noam. It's interesting that the 2 nations with the highest rates of patent registration, the United States and Israel, also have the highest concentration of Jews. In the 1940s, it used to be Europe, until the Jews got expelled and expunged. Europe has since lagged far behind the US (and perhaps even little Israel) in innovation and hi-tech. If the holocaust had not occurred, Europe would be having the highest concentration of Jews within their ranks and would almost certainly be the world leader in hi-tech and innovation. I hear that there is growing antisemitic sentiment on American college campuses. I hope this is not allowed to fester and spread. According to the late Derek Prince, a historian and Bible teacher, history shows that nations that adopt antisemitism as an official policy tend to collapse within a 100 years. As a Bible believer myself, I believe what God told the patriarchs concerning their descendants, I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you, and in your seed shall all the nations be blessed (paraphrase mine). Besides Israel, the United States is perhaps the one major nation where Jews have relatively enjoyed the greatest liberty and peace, and the United States is currently the world's most prosperous country. These days, Germany (and Europe) has become a second-rate power, and even seek to placate the Chinese.

      This is nothing new historically. Going back in history during the Middle Ages, Jews have always been the target of early pogroms and inquisitions by the Catholics, but some of the monarchies have tried to secretly help the Jews disappear into the background, playing two sides politically. Why? Because they knew that everywhere the Jews lived - trade and businesses thrived for that particular kingdom. Save for the Muslims and the Chinese that time, no other ethnicity on earth had that kind of attribute.

    I am an Israeli born man who moved to the West at the wave of the 2nd intifada. I must say every time I have gone back to visit my family in Israel (they all still live there), the country impresses me more and more. I think a lot of the issues Israel faces and faced have begun to afflict other Western nations as well, especially the cost of living and the rise of terrorism. It's hard get over the aspect that you're surrounded by countries who would be happy to wipe you off the face of the earth but Israel has a lot going it for it to point I will likely move back there especially with the wave of antisemitism in Canada, the US, the UK and France that we're seeing. At this point Israel is up there with most Western countries in terms of quality of life.

    I agreee with one of the main arguments in the video. Difficulties help to find new solutions and at the end of the day if you want to build "muscles" you need a challenge. So there were 2 possibilities for Israel since it was born: die or become stronger and stronger. Because the enemies wanted to erase the new state since the beginning. New challenges means new (technological, military, strategic) solutions. And this is what Israel did and does. His strenght is due to the hate of his enemies. More hate more strenght. They don't undestand this...

    In my 30s in the '90s, I called the Aliyah office and said, "I'm a software engineer, I'd like to come and help." They said, "You're too old, we have too many old people, you're female and you can expect to be continually sexually harassed on the job, we don't want you. We want young couples who will come to the settlements and churn out babies, and women who know that their place is to stay home and churn out babies." So I said OK, and stayed in the US where I was sexually harassed in every software job.

    Socialism isn't the same as Lenin and Communisim! There was private enterprise in Israel - shops, farms, industry etc, there wasn't any of that in the USSR. I'm no communist but that's a really sloppy and bad historiography. Arguably had there not been socialism in the first decades of independence then there would be no infrastructure and common endevour. Denmark and Sweden and UK's NHS is socialist, it doesn't mean there isn't private enterprise. 2/3 of industry under sate control will include things like water, gas, electricity so, not really small enterpreuners. And it was socialism which incorporated, employed built cities for the new immigrants, with socialism this wasn't done with a profit margin in mind, had it been the USA then profit making bodies would have demanded 30% profit on all work. Was there need to change after the first few decades, yes, but without the socialist base and people ready to be without things for the sake of building cities and schools and hospitals for the 1 million immigrants. Nationalising Health from Histadrut, sounds very socialist to me! Enjoying the channel though, toda.

    Noam, I bet you don't know that the economist, who advised Netanyahu to weaken the labor unions ability to constantly raise wages, and privatize industries, in order to bring down triple digit inflation, was named Nissim Baruch. He went to the Likud, because as Sephardic Jew, he was discriminated against, by the predominately Ashkenazi parties, on the left. His family had been Yerushalmi, for generations, and had not been too thrilled about the socialism the Ashkenazim brought with them. So they were not too thrilled, when he married a girl, whose father had made aliyah from New York, despite his being an assistant to the chief rabbi. Nissim died last year, but two of their three sons, and most of their grandchildren still live in Yerushalayim. And, the eldest son, who lives in Kiryat Gat, loves cottage, despite how you feel about that cheese.

    Economic depression is an inherent phenomenon of capitalism, in which the self-contradiction of the capitalist system periodically explodes. When an economic crisis occurs, capital destruction occurs, and the vulnerable capital is cleaned up and the industry is reorganized around competitive capital. In this process, the rate of profit is restored and the conditions for valorization are re-formed. However, this process is also a process that worsens the condition of the workers. During the economic crisis, workers were laid off in large numbers and the unemployed abounded. Even if they keep their jobs, workers face a reduction in wages or worse working conditions.

      Sound true but I'm not too sure. For me as an Artist and Entrepreneur, I had too many challenges to power through, I sure could've used just a little bit of a push everything was too hard since I came from nothing. Another lesson I learned was that if people want to be motivated for real than money is just not enough, you need to find your passion and pursue a life of meaning.

    The United States gave Israel 3.8 billion dollars in 2022. Israel will have a budget surplus of more than 4.5 billion dollars for 2022. It is time to make some cutbacks to American aid to Israel.

      US gives egypt 2 billion dollars in 2022. The 3 billion a year US gives Israel and 2 billion a year US gives to egypt are part of Camp David deal US made with Israel and Egypt. In exchange, Israel gave egypt sinai back. Are you for annulling The Camp David deal?

      ALL and I mean ALL of the money given to Israel by it's ally the USA ... goes back to the USA. It must all be sent on US products. On the other hand, Israel give way more to the USA in intel, protection, innovation etc
      Israel doesn't get "AID" from anybody. It is one ally giving to another ally to receive something in return. Israel is one of the wealthiest countries not he planet. It doesn't need aid ...LOL. Your an idiot. All allies exchange cash.

    why ''socialist Economy'' when the Thing was about ''Kibbutzim'' that are relatively small Communities, that are managed such as ''original Villages'' wherever in the World and, of which there are few Accounts at youtube Channel ''TRACKS'', cfr. Playlist ''disappearing World'';
    when one need to label the ''Way to live and exist'' of ''Kibbutzim'' with a Term, that reminds everyone of some ''political Battle'' between the one and the other ''Party'' or ''political Wing'', this is a huge Mistake, both at practical Level and at theorical Level, and especially, at moral Level (this concerns the ''Conscience'' who one is, that is eternal and infinite, that incarnates tempory and locally within a given or another ''Personality''),
    and especially, this remids everyone of what George Orwell wrote in his ''1984'', a Novel that is an Essay, issued in ''1948'', a Date mentioned in this audiovisual Lesson by Noam, whose Name reminds us of the brand new, futuristic communitarian Project ''Naom'', internationally conceived and forged in the Middle East (there is a Site dedicated to this Project), and this concerns the so called ''Soci'', a given Party, whose ''Mentality'' nobody would ever wish and see implemented, beside the Fact that is uses an almost ''Israeli'' Family Name, to ''terrorize'' the Population, despite one gets to actualize that the ''Name'' is a ''fake'' Construct, by the ''Soci'', and in order to attract to itself more ''Adherents'', and make so, that the Population gets to hate the above mentioned ''Name'', and anything that it represents;
    concerning Poverty that existed in Israel ''in the Beginning'', everyone, everywhere in the World was equally poor or equally suffered of Poverty,
    and, concerning ''Money'' that was used to ''finance'' the Building Project and related Management, in Israel and of Israel, everyone may get to know how ''Money are created out of Nothing'' by ''Banks'', or ''the financial System'', and this has Nothing to do with ''real Value'', and this has rather to do with ''scriptural Numbers'', that can be ''used or misused'' at Will, by the one or the other ''Party'', or ''Regime'' implemented by a given Government or the other,
    and eventually, everyone knows who are the major Rulers of Banks, provided that there is a whole Group of ''Bankers'' that holds a specific ''Name'', that is almost ''Israeli'',
    (let's remember that there are ''Boulevards'' in Israel itself, that hold that Name, in Honor of those who have helped to finance the Building of the present Days' Country).
    Greetings to You. ''G.d, Charity and Salvation'' to everyone or ''Elh, Tzdqh, Shlom''.
