    Temp is a big factor in getting runs. Warmer it is the harder you can lay the paint on and the quicker it will flash off. Too cold and the paint will have enough time to run before it flashes off. Also just time on the gun, I painted for years and now when I pick it up it's like riding a bike, you actually look at the paint as its laying down and know you have enough on. Def better to be heavy and have a few hangers then having dry horrible matt finish. Top effort bro, you are your own harshest critic but the whole package is the shit, epic work.

    Awesome progress :) well done 👍 re lift/hoist, I have a 4 metre height carport next to my house. Works well. Use steel roof. Plastic doesn't last. Youd be ok with wind etc as your fenced in.

  • @ashgranger2229

    Looking great man!! Some things are time inbetween coats. Wanting to wait around 10 - 15mins or so between coats. In the past I wasn't waiting long enough and was finding the same thing. Another thing I found made a big difference is how much thinner you're putting in. 20% thinner gets a flatter finish but is quite easy to get runs where as 15% thinner is a pretty happy medium from what I've found. I'm not a pro by any means but just things I've found over time. Hope it helps!

    • @senojnaes
      @senojnaes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is all 2K so no thinner involved only hardener. A friend has informed me that spraying in the cold is the likely culprit. Thanks for the feedback!

    4l bottle of CRC soft seal, run or blow it into all of the cracks, seams, door bottoms, sills, cavities, etc. Goes on thin, soaks into small crevices, dries as the solvents leave, and won't wash away with time/rain. Ha, got to later in the vid - what product did you use for that? :-) Bummer about the runs - it's been a long time since I sprayed anything, but thinking back we ended up thinning the paint more than the recommended amount and blowing it on in multiple passes, otherwise, like you, it was rough looking. I forget the numbers, and someone will likely tell me this is the wrong approach, but I got some good results like that. Double bummer on the bent front frame! :-( I really think you should give it a tug and straighten it up and fix any paint that fails. I did a similar thing years ago and it's still crooked and it still bugs me. Cool car, respect for all the long hours and detailed work! :-)

    Nice work as usual mate , just a tip with sanding primer , always use a guide coat , anything darker then primer & also try finish bog with atleast 180-220 grit , just my experience , cheers

    • @CRILIKk
      @CRILIKk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also to your paint running try mixing it thinner & try on test panel , do a few like this & thin more & more , you should see it going on flatter & flatter, cheers

    • @senojnaes
      @senojnaes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome videos. You got some skill there. Any painter that says they don't get runs is lieing. Maybe you need to factor in how much the paint will flow out. Between being sprayed and skinning off
