It would sure be nice IF somebody would let "Rise" by Herb Albert play all the way through for a change! I would love to hear the whole song all the way through! Only time I get to hear the whole song is when I am blasting "Rise" on my stereo system!

I totally loved that scene! The way Luke's face lit up when he saw her. I watched those few seconds over and over again. The beloved couple will be back!

Luke doesn't and has never treated anyone the ways he treats Laura not even Bobbie and Rube. So tender and loving. Actually beyond tender and loving. He adores her.
GH Fever: not so much like love, but more an obsessive man than anything else. Tony Geary himself has said he wouldn't love a woman like that because he was too obsessive, almost like a stalker. He also said the reason why everyone loved Luke and Laura was because everyone saw Luke through Laura's eyes. They loved him because Laura loved him.
Isn’t luv kinda obsessive in the beginning? I remember those days. Can’t think of anything else, see the object of your affection as perfect. At least when Luke’s love matured, he remained deeply in lov w/Laura 4 long time.

Yes how soon he forgot Luke treats Laura with desrespect and angry now. Now it's like he don't remember what it was like loving her had children with her. Isn't that awesome? He does use a different tone of voice when he speaks to her than when he speaks to anyone else. I noticed the blue as well. That is significant. In this scene, we have the truth. Luke says ... The truth is it will always be me for you. Are we that completely invested in this couple and their history that their separation or togetherness really matters to us? You bet we are!!!!!
ABSULUTELY, WE ARE INVESTED IN THIS AFFAIR OF THE HEART WITH THEM.
Luke had a special tone when he spoke to Laura, it was so haunting. All the feels
I love how they sit quietly, just staring at each other. I love how they rarely touch in this time period, yet the tension is off the charts. It is like hanging there between them constantly.
AMEN! The great love stories involve conflict, pain, and suffering...this is one of the greatest. L&L's story is also about forgiveness, which is why I find it so moving. The two of them are continually having to cope with each other's shortcomings, only to realize their problems are insignificant in the face of their overwhelming love.
THAT IS WHAT MAKES THEM A GREAT LOVE STORY.

TG has said many times in interviews that their connection begins in their eyes. This is one of my favorite scenes.

Check out Laura's expression/gaze at 8:52-8:53... And the look of pure relief on Luke's face when she tells him she forgives him. The palpable unspoken words as they look at one another across the table.. you could cut the air with a knfe.

OH, LAURA, OH, LUKE, IT WILL ALWAYS BE YOU TWO FOR YOUR FANS. LUKE SMILES SO CUTE WHILE OVER HEARING LAURA SAY SUCH NICE WORDS ABOUT HIM. THAT WAS A SWEET, LOVING EXCHANGE BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM.
Yeah.. there is so much that by the time you go back to it it's almost brand new.
Did you see the promo... it's only like a second.. where he looks up and sees her.. and says "laura"... tg uses such a different tone of voice as Luke with Laura than with anybody else outside of Lucky and lulu.. and they are both wearing royal blue.. reminiscent of the 83 return scene.
That was PRECISELY the reason I have taken the time to post all of this... I was so sick of listening to people, who honesty have NO clue, on the message boards speak about the topic... perhaps now the discussions can make more sense!

I think my family thinks I'm crazy.Ill start watching a movie or TV shows.And start watching these at the same time.I love these early days of LnL, Summer on the run,and Sticky door days.One of my favorites.I love love love Slick, Emma,Rose,Joe,O'Riley ...So many , and of course Robert.Love this cast too .

you all are so right on this ep. about forgiveness and what happen that night. the writing is so right on about people and grey areas and tv drama regardless what happens in real life.
Still hoping there is some forgiveness ,conflict, pain, suffering and overwhelming Love, in their future!!

karla mazzola-- Claudia and Brian got married, and had a set of twin girls. They supposedly moved away from Port Charles, and that's why they weren't on the show anymore.
Yes I do to so very much. I said it all along the writers just don’t have the respect for any Actors none when the writers feel they have no more use for that particular character they get rid of them like yesterday newspapers sad so disrespectful, and ugly to boot. Hollywood is a very disrespectful place to want to wonder into and very lonely for some people who are just to tender hearted. It’s no place like home..... Isn't that what she is to us?!? I mean we did grow up with the girl. Besides having Laura back I am so excited to see my favorite actress Genie Francis..... ACT her rear off... like I know she will, and see my favorite acting team (tony, genie.. and add JJ ..just sublime) back in action!
I can' t wait for Luke to see Laura when she returns to Port Charles this week. The writers have to bring them back together again. Luke and Laura rule!
@lexi1793 I know you wrote this a yr ago but did you know that Shell was older than Genie but played the younger sister. It was sad when she passed away.

It's interesting to see all these conversations between L&L about the rape. Here she forgives him and everything. I can remember watching when Lucky found out about it, and then L&L had their 'day of reckoning' about it. At the time I didn't realize that this wasn't just a topic they ignored and forgot about. They both are acknowledging that it was rape, that it was wrong, and that Laura forgives Luke. I wish they'd sort of touched on that more when Lucky found out.
you have to keep watching and see how they sort out.. how Laura sorts out in her mind what happened that night.. her feelings and how it changed her memory of the "rape"... many years later during the lucky story.. Genie wasn't exactly thrilled with how it was re told.
That connection is to last a lifetime, I don't mean the subject what happened, I just mean THEIR connection!!!!

What is this famous episode that they keep talking about, where Scott attacks Roy at the disco because he thinks Roy raped Laura? Anyone have the date or episode number?
Good question. There are videos of Roy getting drunk and dancing with Laura on other channels but I have not seen the episode you are talking about.
At 5:27 Luke says he is going to try to stay out of Laura's life. Reminds me of 2008 as Laura is leaving for France and says she is going to try like hell not to need Luke. I just hope that the writers will weave Luke and Laura back into each other's lives when Genie returns in 9 short days!!! I can't wait! I feel like I am anxiously awaiting the return of a long lost friend, and she is finally coming home!
It was very disappointing. He rejected Laura completely. Said their kiss was like an old sweatshirt, comfortable but no spark. She remarried Scotty. But of course Luke had to mess that up for her once again by crying for help that he needed her. Then he cast her aside for Tracy.

@@lisah9709 Yes I just wish that TPTB would not have let him do that. It is one thing to break the couple up, but it wasn't necessary to try to rewrite history. I must admit I am really enjoying GH since his depressing character left. Genie came back and I love the way the writers are letting her portray Laura as a strong, independent woman. The Greenland storyline was awesome, Laura saved the world.
They weren't very clear about the whole Amy/Laura age thing. If Laura just turned 18 and is in college then even if Amy is 17 it seems weird that she is in college too. They mentioned that she is taking nursing classes and her walking to school with Laura and Claudia several times.
Can someone find a more original move than reaching in the pretzel jar for a pretzel, breaking a piece off and eating it while they are talking to Luke? Every female that comes to the disco to talk to him does that.
