  • What would you do with a "get-out-of-jail-free card?" Today we see what Paul does with just that in Acts 16.

Hello Branch Together! I know you aren’t active online anymore but I just want to thank you for this Bible series. It has really helped me in reading and meditating the word of God. Now I am doing work in the ministry and have been growing in my faith day by day. I hope you would continue to use this platform to help others in their faith. But as the spirit leads. Thank you and God Bless!

I sincerely appreciate the explanation of Acts Chapter 16. I thoroughly read the Chapter first, spend time thinking about what took place within the Chapter then I come back to your video as you exceptionally explain it and what we can learn from what I have read. You guys present the explanation of the scriptures very well.

Reading this chapter and seeing this video shows me how without knowing some of the history of the people of this time we can read over important information without getting it. There is enough info in scripture to signal that there is something special about the fact that Timotheus’ father was Greek, but in the reading, I missed that the the woman selling purple was otherwise significant as a Pharisee. I’m grateful for Branch Together’s effort to explain these relationships. I wonder if there is a source that help fill in the some of the relationship understandings?

And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.
Macedonia, traditional region of Greece, comprising the north-central portion of the country.
And the keeper of the prison said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
The Greek jailor was baptized and when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
God's grace knows no race or nationality

Why were the traditions of Jerusalem leader St James at a loggerhead with St Paul even though in the preceding chapter showed James speaking in one voice on the matters agreed.
