You can indeed by just twisting the throttle. Now from what I remember, you won’t reach the maximum speed without peddling. (Max speed is 15mph and the throttle only starts you off up to around 7mph I think. You can see the speed in the video when I first set off.) But if you can pedal even just slightly for a moment, the throttle can then be used to go up to the top speed. The throttle has to have a cut off when used without peddling due to regulations you see. Hope that made some sense! If not I’ll try to explain it better without being half asleep! 👌
I couple of things that could have improved the bike, they should have fitted a key lock or something to stop anyone just pressing power on, and I think a larger front cog as you seem to end peddling like crazy, when you don't need to, and fanlly, as you are a U.K rider, did you ever ride it in the rain.
You sound like you know a lot more than me and make some very good points too about the key lock, as I do worry about ever having to leave this unattended. Plus a bigger cog would be more suitable now that you have said it! As for the rain, at present I’ve only rode it in light drizzle but to be honest I’d still ride it in storm! Think it would survive as long as it wasn’t fully submerged! Thanks for watching and commenting btw! 👌 On a personal note I do prefer the D3F over the A1F. Can’t explain why though! Think it’s just the size and how it looks!

As a slightly disabled person, can you ride the bike without pedaling?
