Yes - I was in the UNC marching band. I couldn't hear myself playing! I later heard it was the loudest game ever held in that stadium thanks to those awful cowbells.
This was the first Peach Bowl at the Georgia Dome, and helped take the Peach/Chick-Fil-A Bowl to a new level where it is now one of the premier non-BCS bowls.
1993 saw the North Carolina tar heels men's basketball team win the college basketball national championship where they won it all in 1982 at the Louisiana Superdome 77-71 over the Michigan wolverines
That's awesome...a 1993 team winning the 1982 championship! It's the only time that's ever happened for sure. Edit: Thanks for the reply and not admitting you made a mistake and then editing your original comment.
I LOVE the Georgia Dome ! is that Ernie Johnson Sr. ? Tenn Volunteers = worst team name in the SEC and worst Uniforms/ team colors in NCAA Indiana Football NEEDS a decent coach. They are in a damn tought conference for sure. I LOVE ChickFilA's food but its really WRONG to NOT to call it the PEACH BOWL !!!! \ Natrone Means had a good career. I wish ESPN Classic would show CLASSIC stuff instead of damn poker!
Mack is back. Here we go again!!!
I was at that game. Loudest game I've ever seen in person.

my principal played for UNC that year his name is Andre Ramsuer.
I agree, it has to be put in the same sentence as the Holiday Bowl, Sun Bowl, and for atmosphere the Hawai'i Bowl
The opening shot of the Georgia Dome as a shiny, new stadium is now gone and replaced by an even shinier stadium
anybody know where to get the full length game?
it was on youtube for a short while but I'm pretty sure it's been deleted for copyright issues
Had Texas not poached him I think unc would've ultimately played for national championship by 99-00
Jill Conner doubt it they would have to go through Florida state and that was the one team Brown could never figure out
i was being born as this happened.
They finished 10-2 and 11-1 his last 2 seasons
Both teams went to the Gator Bowl and won in the last 2 seasons!
Natrone Means was a baaad man. He was Jerome Bettis before "The Bus" - a big power back who was also quick with his feet and shifty.....
Mack Brown's teams were always good
Except for those first two seasons
I LOVE the Georgia Dome !
