    Nice example using the actual software. Brings home the reality of the bankroll and conditions needed for positive EV. Thanks!

    Excellent video sir! Might I suggest doing a video on Arnold Synder's SCORE system to evaluate what rules/BJ conditions are worth playing at and which ones are not good. Knowing when to simply walk away from a BJ table and not toss away your money is crucial tool for a new card counters..

    Thank you for this video. Quick question about true count. I know it is running count divided by decks remaining. But, are we dividing by the 4.5 decks being used or the 6 decks total to begin with?
    Thanks!

    • @A1-BJ

      Good question. It is the total. So in a 6 deck shoe, if 2 decks have been played and there's a running 16, we divide 16 by 4 (the remaining 4 unplayed, including the cards after the cut card)

    Rounds per hour is the metric to use when calculating EV. Unfortunately, most people overestimate this or just use 100 or 120.
    Rounds per hour change drastically based on the number of other players on the table and the number of decks in the shoe. If you’re playing a 2 deck game with 3 other players on the table, you may only get 50 RPH at best. This would be when the dealer is pretty fast.
    Most players that “underperform” do so because they have overestimated their RPH.

      Agree, if you're at 2x N-0 and find yourself significantly below EV, worth evaluating whether you're overestimating speed.

    What is your opinion on double deck? Seems like a great way to decrease your ROR. Your ceiling won’t be as high but the floor isn’t as low. You’ll want to be heads up vs the dealer or two players max. If you have more than two players at the table the positive count can go away in one hand.

    • @A1-BJ

      I love double deck! It is what I prefer to play if I get the chance. The heat is a bit higher though, and if it's a pitch game, it can be a bit tough to count if there are multiple players, but yes, besides that, it's much better odds!

    Amazing!
    I downloaded the demo to this last night, coincidentally, and your explanation is so concise. I have a question - this software seems to only show playing once bet at a time. Using your last panel as an example, say we're at TC-3 and our bet is $100. If I wanted to play two hands, would I play $100 on each circle, or $50 per circle totaling $100? Hope that makes sense!
    Also, what would that do to the other stats? ROR, Win/Hr, etc? Does CVCX have a way of simulating that?

    • @A1-BJ

      That's my problem, too - I also have the demo. I have a few rough ideas, but I would hate to steer you wrong without being able to back it with math. I am going to purchase the Blackjack Apprenticeship's betting software and will be making more in-depth videos on my Patreon answering these questions soon.

      If you are serious at all about playing BJ then investing in decent software like BJ-VERITE, CVDATA and CVCX is crucial. I own both BJ-VERITE so I can practice based on the BJ table rules before I go and I simulate my bet spreads. I can also run risk of of ruin calculations on CVDATA and set-up sims based on rules/side bets whatever you want to sim. I also sim having to downsize my bets should I hit some bad variance and what I should change my bet spread too.

    Bit confused I thought spread x minimum bet is your bankroll. What is spread then?

    • @A1-BJ

      Your bet spread is your minimum bet to your max. So if you bet 25 at a true 0 and a 250 at a true 5 (your max) that would be a 1 to 10 bet spread because 25 x 10 is 250.

    Anyone out there can go from 10k to 20k saving in just a couple months to play blackjack you might be better off keeping that day job. 5k a month, 60k a yr, 300k every 5 yrs that's a house u can rent out for income. Have fun, do what u want, but also consider opportunity cost.

    • @A1-BJ

      I shouldn't have said a couple of months. That's my fault. And I'm a part-timer. I will keep my day job, for sure. Counting is just icing on the cake!

  • @h2t26

    My biggest issue isn't the spread it's or how to use software but what's a good balance of spread to heat. I'm not trying to make hundreds of thousands in a month getting kicked out of every casino in 5 states. What would get me just enough to be going good, pay for expenses and be left alone to play with extra on the side for a part time weekend warrior.

    Is rpr the same as hands per hour?

    • @mathprofii7877

      Hands per hour is not the same as rounds per hour.
      If you play two hands per round, that is only one round.
      You should measure you table time as rounds and not hours. CVCX measures N-zero in rounds.

    • @billwhoberry5442

      @mathprofii7877 if cvcx is set at 100 rph, and i select 2 hands does it automatically adjust for the extra hard and that the rph will change?

    • @mathprofii7877

      Yes it does.
      You will select at which count you will spread to two hands. CvCx will calculate your ev based on this selection.
      The default is 100 RPH. I would either adjust this to the playing conditions at your local shop or calculate your table time in terms of rounds and not hours. If you calculate your table time in terms of rounds, divide it by 100 to get the amount of “hours” you played.

    I’ve been staring at this thing for 3-5 days moving variables around every which way and for the life of me cannot get my risk below 68% (playing all hands) with a $2,000 bankroll 😖

    • @A1-BJ

      Impossible for the software to calculate a lower RoR because it doesn't exist at that bankroll level.
      Gotta save a while and build up that bankroll and then aggressively Wong.
